"Seems that loose end will be cleaned up for me" I hear murmuring through my head.
The voice once again leaks out of the corners of my consciousness and fills my head. "Wake up before they find us"
A force flows through my body that seems to jolt me awake quickly. I quickly scan my surroundings in the tent for anything I might want to take with me.
Alerion scans to room and notices Soddard's and Martha's backpacks. He quietly looks through them to find their journals, some fancy quills and a healing potion. Besides that, there is nothing in the tent except some bedding and clothes.
Alerion, quickly packs his bag and with the grace, and silence of a mountain lion, sneaks out the back of the tent and heads down the side of the mountain. He runs all night until he is far away. He finds a little grove in the woods where he sets up a make-shift bed for a few hours before the morning sun is risen.
As the morning sun arrives, Alerion is awoken to the birds tweeting.
As he moves around and studies the surroundings, he notices that the voice that has been ever so distant, has recently began making mumbles again. Rhaucred hears brief words "Hate..." "Disgusting..." "Home..."
Rhaucred also notices that the symbols on the signs that slowly change to common look strangely familiar to the symbols on the runestone and statues that he found in the cave where he lost his friends.
"Home... Is this where you are from? What is this place? What happened to you here to cause those feeling about this place?" Rhaucred pleads internally with the voice.
"I uh, i guess I'll do my best." He leaves the tent after watching TT fail the pie competition and attempts to find someone and convince them to tell him about the runes around the festival.

As Rhaucred moves around the festival he asks about the runestone to multiple people.
The first woman he asks tells him that it is the symbol of the King's Lieutenant, Voron. She continues to tell him that he was in charge of the magic knights and the King's enchantments around the kingdom. The voice inside his head begins to speak upon hearing the name Voron whispering "Voron... so much has changed...."
Rhaucred continues to ask around about the runestone when he stumbles upon an elven man. Upon showing him the runestone he looks deeply at Rhaucred and says "The magic of that stone has been drained long ago." Rhaucred questions what he means by that and he responds by saying "Elvish runestones can be enchanted in similar fashions to scrolls. Once a spell is cast on the stone, the caster uses their personal seal to bind the spell into the stone. The spell can be activated only according to the rules in which the spell was bound."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
" what if the rules of the spell are fufilled but wrong? Would it have consequences? Explosive ones?"
What all goes into making a runestone? Does one have to be powerful? What is the ritual?
I want to make a history check to see if i know anything about voron and then keep asking about him if i don't.
History19
Whaf is the first woman's name? What does she do for work? If she is a farmer what do they grow here? How long has she lived here? How long has this village been here? What are some stories about how it came to be?
The man looks at Rhaucred and says "Hmm.. I suppose it is possible. The runestones are quite specific on the rules that are implanted on them. Depending on how much magic is placed in the stone, a trap spell could be used to trigger on an incorrect activation." The man looks at the symbol on the stone and gasps "Voron? How did you end up with his stone. He was the most powerful mage of the kingdom. How did a mortal come across a runestone of his?"

"This seems relatively safe" Alerion mumbles to himself.
"Oh it is good to be out of that musty ruin" a dark bass rumbles through my head.
"What are you?" Alerion attempts to think back. "Why are you inside of my head?"
The voice remains silent for now. It seems the conversations at the moment are very one sided.
OOC: You can't trigger a conversation yet. Let's wait a few levels before that happens
"well then"
I shake off the sleep sit up and attempt to determine my surrounding based on where I know we were and where I ran from the camp.
Survival9
Alerion is slightly north of the camp, he has a decent head start, but is unsure if he is being followed or not.
I'm going to start making my way towards Northalia using any resting time to read the journals.

The voice remains silent for now except for one word "Evolve..."
"Well, I'll do my best I guess." Rhaucred says knowing it is mostly to himself.
After seeing TT lose the contest he will go back into the festival and see if he can convince someone to tell him about the runes.

I came across it on an achaeological dig in some ruins. Was quite a mess in the ares where i found it. If he was so powerful what happened to him?
