Bringing Xavier to your bunks. He chuckles slightly at room. “It’s been a long long time since I have been in here. He stands in an open area, wasn’t anything of notice before but you see four marks on the floor the same shape and size of your bunk beds. Apparently it had been moved out before you all stationed here.
(so it’s still early day since this happened first thing. You’re waiting until next morning to leave with Xavier. So there is guarding/watch that has to happen in the day (can be one long shift or split up) then then at least three shifts at night. You all can pair up if you want and take turns. Is there anything you want to do before going to bed, or fast forward?)
While Drakus and Ewan do the first watch, Marley takes her journal and started to draw out scenes that Xavier showed her. She puts the journal back under her pillow. "I'll take second watch, anyone else?"
During the day its pretty quiet, no action, no commotion, just letting the time go by waiting. Then nightfall comes. Ewan and Drakus make their first watch. Almost immediately after the sun has set and the others asleep. Ewan and Drakus year a tapping on the window. Drakus ignores it at first, probably just the breeze or something. Looking out Ewan can see a crow sitting on the window sill outside the plane of glass. Then another shows up, and another, and another. All beginning to tap occasionally and caw whole looking into the room.
Ewan puts a hand up and looks over at the window, seeing the crows he casts speak with animals and calls out to the crows "Hi there my feathered friends, what has got you so agitated?" he asks the crows from a distance.
Ewan uses his spell to speak with the crows. But for some reason the crows just continue to caw and peck at the window. You’re unable to communicate with them and they can not communicate with you. The spell has no effect with these four crow.
When the spell has no effect, Ewan becomes defensive. "Looks like these are either being controlled or are not actually crows," he says out loud to the rest of the group, getting their attention and loud enough that those that were resting would be able to be prepared. Ewan also takes the dodge action.
With everyone seemingly in agreement to listen to Xaiver, at least for now. Andris followed along. He still had his reservations. As far as he was concerned it could all be some nefarious trap but with them all watching, he felt better off. When back in the room with the others and the warning of the crows comes out. Andris unsheaths his sword. "I knew there would be trouble. "
Calelle’s vision once again goes into a purple hue. Four blips of yellow magic -(conjuration) rest where the crow are standing on the sill. They look like beasts, but aren’t. With a magical aura you can safely assume that they are familiars.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"They're familiars, most likely someone who's too nosy for their own good" Calelle goes around near the birds before before saying "Bál" as a wave of radiance flashes out from him.
DC 13 CON ST or 2 Radiant damage on all the familiars
"I don't know - I have a feeling it might have been the people that weren't happy with Quentin earlier, I mean - they seemed to make their presence quite known earlier on," Ewan says in response as the four crows disappear.

"I'll take the first patrol shift to make sure we make it until tomorrow, who would like to come with?" Drakus says once they get to the bunks

A radiant light bursts out of all four crows. Along with the sound of four “pops” as they explode and turn to dust.
