I like this idea and seeing as it does not appear that we could stop him, I will take some high ground in a tree to provide cover with my bow, should the bear decides it likes the taste of salty rum or Geltrix gets spotted by the bandits.
Geltrix with the stealth roll you made you’ll get up to the bear cage no problem but I’ll need a sleight of hand check to see if you can get the bar out of the lock before the bear smashes the Gary out of that gate and get at the bandits.
Ok everyone roll initiative so I have an idea of who goes when. I’ll be making 4 perception checks for the bandits and one for the bear. Oh and initiative for them.
Bandit perception: 1618107
Bear perception : 19
bandits initiative: 18
bear initiative: 17
also just so you’re aware you have a full surprise round before the bandits and bear kick in so don’t worry if you roll lower than them you got a free turn
Ok so you fumble the piton as the bear roars and shoulder barges the cage door. The door swing s open and knocks you on your arse. The bandits turn towards the cart and see the black bear charging towards them and you sat there looking a bit relieved that it didn’t go for you.
As I said you all get a free actions before they respond. What do you want to do?
You all get to go once. Arnnon and Lugnutz get two rounds before the bandits respond
The bear will most likely dispatch of the first two bandits it gets to, so from my adventitious position I’d take out one of the furthest bandits with an arrow shot.
Ok so to make attack rolls to the dice roller function and choose the combat tab. I’ll accept the 14 for Lugz as a hit. Jon were you planning on raging as a bonus action as you close the distance or are you keeping those back as you get 2 rages per long rest at this level.
You'll either need to roll a d12+3 if you’re not raging or d12+5 if you are.
Normy you have advantage on the attack roll as it’s from stealth. Just select advantage when you choose the combat tab. (Damage dice for your longbow is under the attack tab on your character sheet but it’s d8 plus your dexterity modifier)
The bandit staggers under the blow and looks down at the instant bruising caused by Lugnutz cleaving his medallion in Twain. He glances to a colleague on his right and sees them fly backwards the feathered fletching of protruding from his eye socket. Clearly dead.
Arnnon draws his bow, takes aim at one of the furthest bandits, taking a breath, feeling the wind on his skin he lets the arrow loose. The arrow whistles through the air at great speed, straight through the bandits right eye

Success! Sort of...
I'd like to draw my short-bow and shoot the one furthest from the bear.
I appreciate I'm down the order though
Lugnutz readies his axe and charges into the fray.

Lugnutz swings, and hits and sighs with disappointment as his greataxe smashes straight into a bandit’s lucky medallion.

So pards has his surprise round action with his short bow and then we fall into the normal initiative order
Galawain will cast Produce Flame and hurl it at the one struck by Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
