Looking at Nedrick's eggs Rhaucred realizes that he too hasn't eaten in a while. " i think I'll take the eggs as well, they look delicious." He looks over to TT, " Does anything sound appetizing to you?"
Barnard says "Ah it is quite simple really, the Brass City Trader's Guild contracts many people for jobs. It is quite a booming business right now. Tell me now, what work do you do?"
Right about that Midra comes by and Mort asks her about the dragon she responds "Oh it is quite nice. It came from a White Wyrm. Has quite a cool, minty taste to it."
Rhaucred lets Midra finishes before ordering a round of Blue Boiled eggs. (Please deduct 9 cp Rhaucred)
“Midra, that sounds perfect. And another round for our friends!”
mort turns to barnard
“Well, i guess you could say that im an adventurer for hire. Need a guide through cursed and decrypted ruins? Im your man. Have a indecipherable puzzle in need of solving? Im your man. Searching for a lost and forgotten arcane treasure?...
Mort takes a large gulp from the tankard and slams it on the table.
Midra takes TT's order and says "Well I see you are the hungry one." She then turns her attention to Mort and says "Another round is comnig right out."
After Mort slams his tankard on the table the pair of Effreti look at each other for for a second before Barnard says "We may actually take you up on that. See we need someone familiar with the arcane arts in order to gather a treasure. Currently it is looked behind some magical locks and we have had no success in getting to it. Would you be interested? We would pay you a portion of the reward."

While this conversation is happening, a group of two drows walk up to the innkeeper and asks "Hello, we would like a room for the evening." She then informs then that there are no more rooms available.
Nedrick frowns and takes a drink and looks up to the two Drow.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. No more rooms available? What a pity. I would not wish someone staying in the Brass City's prison on anyone for missing a curfew!" says Nedrick.
"How long are you two in town for? I know one of the guards I may be able to put in a word to try to get you a nicer cell if such a thing exists. I would recommend at least having a meal before you are locked up! No telling when you will be eating again.. If you survive of course.", asks Nedrick.
“Youre in luck! you see i am currently inbetween jobs at the moment and could use the excitement. Our journey to the city has been long and dull”
yawning, mort stretches his arms dramatically above his head and cracks his knuckles.
“First things first, as im sure you know, anything dealing in the mystical and arcane arts can be mentally, physically, and most importantly, financially taxing. thus i will require at least 50% upfront for expenses and preparation. but we can sort all that out in due time. Now, what do we know about the job?
Barnard looks at Mort and says "If you are interested..." He then pulls out a piece of parchment and scribbles on a piece of paper then hands it to Mort "Come to the guild hall tomorrow. We will be staying there tonight, so we should be there in the morning, but for now, let us enjoy the evening."
Nedrick knows a bit of the drow, more than they tend to the undersides of realms. Drows are relatively common though and he does not recognize any of the markings on their gear.
One drow turns to Nedrick and says "You insolent.... How dare you speak..." He is then interrupted by the other drow that says "Now, now, let the commoners have their fun. We all know they don't have much to live for anyway."
While the group eats and enjoys their company, Hunding has been pouring through the crowd trying to get to the bard. He is a male elf, playing a lute with blonde hair. He seems him leave the stage and head down the hallway (he assumed to clear the expired ale from his body). After a few minutes, the bard returns, looking extra chipper with a large grin on his face. Hunding is finally able to talk to him. The bard listens to Hunding and says "Yes, yes, we are taking request. What would you like good fellow?"
Nedrick's eyes sparkle at the word commoner realizing he is dealing with nobles.
"Ah how true! We common folk do not have much but one thing I do have is a room tonight...."
Nedrick scratches his chin almost like his thinking in a sarcastic way.
"But since you are clearly more than a commoner I'm sure your coin could persuade me to part with my room? It would have to accommodate for my pain and suffering of course. You see, if I don't sleep in my own room then I have to sleep with that big hunk who takes up more than half the bed!"
Nedrick points to Hunding.
"I'll part with the room for 6 gold pieces per night for up to three nights. How many nights would you prefer?"
One of the drows says "Oh please, like we would ever take a room from you. Who knows what you have done to the place. Come on, let us find another place..." They then depart.
The group continues to enjoy their evening, eating and drinking... They then retire to their rooms for the evening.
OOC: Please post who is staying in what room. I believe Nedrick has bought three rooms for three nights.
after a several rounds of dice and drinking in the tavern, mort meets up with nedrick to discuss the sleeping arrangements before heading off to his room where he’ll begin the intricate process of learning and transcribing the invisibility spell into his book.
"Mort and I in one room. Rhaucred and Hunding in another. TT has privacy to herself. I will see you all in the morning."
Nedrick goes into his room and places on a blonde wig and draws a handlebar mustache.
"Mort. When you are ready please cast the invisibility spell and concentrate until I return. Hopefully with goodies. If I do not return, do not come looking as no reason to implicate yourself. I will find my way back."
during the transcribing process, mort takes a break to stretch his legs. deep in thought and practically sleep walking in a trance like state, mort wanders the halls of the tavern until he finds himself face to face with rhaucred.
“rhaucred, my mystical brother! i have an arcane problem which could use some guidance.”
morts eyes go wide and hes hit in the face with a solution to his arcane conundrum. *hiccup*
”thats it! thank you bother!”
mort hikes up his robe and scampers back to his studies.
Rhaucred sits on the bed later reading through his notes on the city and talks to himself. If Hunding is in the room he still does. "It looks like everyone is enjoying their time here. I hope those two are okay, they had an odd look about them as we got into the evening. Hopefully, my guidance will help Mort get through it all."
TT searches the inn and finds the latrine. There are candles lit that help with the smell and light the interior.
Mort tries his hardest and with a bit of guidance he is able to successfully copy this scroll into the book. This did take 4 hours of time. There is now 8 hours until curfew is over.
After successfully copying the spell, Mort casts it on Nedrick...

mort takes the paper and carefully reads it before pocketing the note.
”I couldnt agree more. lets save all this talk of business for business hours. Now is the time to drink, dance, and be marry!”
mort takes a large gulp of ale and slams the empty tankard back on the table.
