A narrow tunnel runs from the cellar beneath the keep to the bank of the stream. The tunnel is wide enough to allow warriors to pass through it in single file. In the keep, the tunnel is sealed with a locked ironbound door, and the stream exit is covered with a locked iron grate made to look like a sewer outlet. Escobert leads the adventures there and unlocks the door. The tunnel’s main function was as a secret means of collecting water from the stream during a siege, but it can double as a sally port. Since the keep has never been besieged, the old tunnel has never been used. Barrels and crates are piled in front of the door. The group spends several minutes clearing the door and Erevan group slips into the tunnel. Cobwebs hang everywhere and Erevanuses his torch to burn them away as he moves forward. Erevan fails to see the rats nest ahead of him and a swarm of rats charges at him. {OOC: The part with the stealth does not happen just yet. Who all is with Erevan?}

Erevan's darkvision serves him well, as he is able to spot the swarm of rats charging at him despite having a lit torch. Instinctively, Erevan brandishes his sword and swings the blade onto the rats as he shouts "Prise choquante!"and electricity channels through his blade as he strikes down onto the rats.

Rha'El notices the scuttling of the rats as they approach Erevan. "Careful, pointy eared man." He says as he reaches for his glaive and stabs into the crowd of rats.

Erevan expends movement to hop over the swarm of rats to be on the other side to allow Rha'El more room to move. Once Erevan gets into his ideal position, he swipes his blade into the rats with a vicious slice attack.
Rha'El channels divine energy into his glaive as he sees Erevan eviscerate most of the rats. He brings his glaive down with a mighty overhead swing into the remaining group of rats.

Rha'El fails to notice the low hanging ceiling of the tunnel and his glaive clashes with it as he brings it upwards, staggering him for a brief moment as he must reset his stance

Erevan is not able to determine where the rat vanished to. The party moves on down the tunnel and comes to the locked exit gate. Years of exposure and neglect have corroded the lock on the exit grate. The dwarf had handed Erevan the key to the exit gate as they left into the tunnel. Erevan tries to open the gate with the key.
Erevan slides the key into the rusty gate, and the key breaks off as Erevan twists in an attempt to open the gate. Erevan peers over his shoulder at Rha'El.
"I suppose brute force will be the key." he says with a smirk as he steps back to see if Rha'El wants to see if he can smash the gate open.
As his newly summoned familiar climbs atop his shoulder, Melnar concentrates on the image of Erevan scolding him before and charges his Bracer of Space. A moment later Melnar vanishes. When he opens his eyes he is behind Erevan and Rha'El. Satisfied with his test, he looks down to his bracer and notices it took more power than usual.
Looking up to see the gate with the Centuar attempting to break it. "It seems I have caught up just fine.. What is going on over here?"
Erevan sees that Rha'El's physical prowess is insufficient to open the gate, and his smirk turns into a frown. He glances over his shoulder to Gromar who has been quiet.
"Want to test your might?" Erevan says in a suggesting tone while gesturing to the gate.

As a moon elf, he relishes the serenity that washes over him during the night.
