"Thrash, Gilly, and one of the other sailors take first watch. Griff and Hallard and the other sailor will take second. I will take third along with Vhon and Tiro." Zin says.
It is about six bells in the first watch (that’s 11 pm for the lubbers) and Thrash is attempting to maintain course under the careful eye of Gilly whilst the sailor is keeping an eye on the sails when a gentle light appears to float upon deck from the cabin where Vhon was sleeping. Much to their surprise Gilly and Thrash see a small but beautiful gossamer-winged fairie with flawless, pale skin, surrounded by a nimbus of light appear. Not long after Vhon appears as if sleepwalking. He cries out plaintively “don’t leave my lady!” To which the fairie replies “then you will have to trust me my love” and immediately swoops over the side of the ship. Without hesitation and before Gilly or Thrash can do anything, Vhon also leaps over the side. Much to their surprise and expecting to hear a splash, the two look over the rail to see Vhon being caught up in the nimbus of light and disappear off into the storm.

"That Strange... Now less fighters..." The lizardfolk would say as he hangs his head and lets out a hiss-like sigh. "Waste" He would say before returns to the helm. Once there, he would curse and rant a while in draconic.. with what almost sounds like a dwarven accent if that is possible..
What in the hells was that! Damn fool chasing a fairy thing over the side of the boat... We better be able to take care of those damn fish-folk or the queen is gunna have yer ass...
As Vhon launches himself over the side of the ship, Gilly reaches out as if he can stop him, yelling, "Cap'n, no!" He runs to the rail and watches with wide eyes and a slack jaw as Vhon is swept away. Even after Thrash returns to his duties, the blue-skinned firbolg stares off after his captain, his face fully of surprise and sadness. Gilly finally blinks and then rushes to where Zin is resting and wakes the elf, apologizing as he does so. "Cap'n Vhon is gone," he says, his voice full of sorrow. He relays to him about the fairie and Vhon's launch over the side of the ship. Finally, Gilly sits with his head lowered. "First, Zeph and Floki, and now the cap'n. All the senior crew. You and I are the only ones left." He looks at Zin. "What's going to happen to us?"
"We stand strong, that's what Gilly. We'll get out of this, I'm sure of it." Zin replies, at first concerned but quickly regaining his composure. "The sea is a strange succor and Vhon had his own demons to fight. Many a time I heard him arguing or speaking with someone who was not there. But he had strange powers. Perhaps we will see him again, perhaps not. For now we keep our current bearing and hope for calmer seas in the morning."
Gilly appears to contemplate Zin's words for a moment before his customary smile reappears, if slightly false. He pats the elf on the shoulder. "Thank you, Zin. Go back to sleep. I need to get back out on deck."
Hallard will happily take whatever watch is required and will help sail the ship but his maneuvability is severely limited with his damaged leg.
When he has some time to himself he will find a quiet place by himself.
If Hallard manages to get find a secluded spot (I understand its a boat and there isn't much space) he attempts to commune with his patron to both ask for safe passage through the storm for the crew and guidance on whether joining the crew is beneficial to the overarching goal.
(@GFM:Tiro has not yet got an answer to what was in the chests from when he and Hallard went to take a look).
"In my short time with Vhon, I respected him as a leader, I hope his faerie leads him to a better place." says Tiro to Gilly "I guess we will need another for the third watch, do you think we should see if we can enlist the first mate? Though this may complicate things after we deal with the lizardmen and the sahuagin. We must deal with the sahuagin, they are a blight on the land and must be removed."
(OOC: Need to make sure we have thoroughly gone through the first mate's chest before we offer to release him and enlist his aid.)

Tiro you take (5)/2 slashing damage. Hallard you take the full amount. On the good side you find 10 electrum ingots - stamped with a lizardman rampant - in the chest.
What other chests did you try and open?

At some point in the Forenoon watch when Thrash and Gilly are back on watch they spot a ship in some distance also trying to tack against the storm but it is too far way to make out any details.
Just after four bells in the afternoon watch - about 2 pm - when Griff and Hallard and the other sailor are on watch could Griff and Hallard please make a perception roll.

Thrash would take first watch.
Sorry didn’t make myself clear. Manning the ship requires a minimum of 3 (helmsman + 2 on deck) at all times. Lookout in crows nest is optional extra.

How many prisoners that Griff pointed out can we trust to help out?
Two although you could try and convince the first mate
