Ulwin agrees that it is a sound plan, but he does feel a little wary . He will suggest that there has to be a inside man somewhere here in town, and will suggest they get the wagon and leave earlier than planned when they are alone. If anything it would disrupt any ambush someone in town may have set up because they know our schedule.
Brandy says, "I get that same feeling about there being a possible inside man or woman. Whatever we do, let's assume we'll be outnumbered when the ambush comes and plan accordingly."
the regional map is 24 miles per hex the bridge is about 3 miles south of the keep bordering the swamp just before entering the trail into the mountains
inches, feet and yards are the same but a mile is 5760 feet instead of real life 5280 feet this helps me with grid scale when going up or down
thus a 48 by 48 grid 5 feet per square =240 feet
grid 24x24 10 feet per square - 240 feet
grid 24x24 each square is 240 feet or 80 yards full grid (24x240 feet) = 5760 feet = 1 mile
4:30 in the morning arrives nothing is sturring except the regular patrols or the guards making their usual rounds and the smell of fresh breads cooking in the kitchen
after everyone has had breakfast and packed their gear, we will take the wagon out as planned, with Brandy driving and Ulwin and I hidden in the back. I figure this means we will leave the keep around 6AM. We will take the road to the bridge and see what happens.
brandywyne is the first to notice the clouds are not normal they change from red to deep purple and the rain takes on a violet hue. animals go silent no frogs croaking birds stop singing. Violent lightning begins to fall from clear skies to the south lighting up the sky as the sun is blocked by the now purple clouds in the sky.
Brandy whispers to himself and then cares for the horse pulling the wagon. 21 on animal handling. He is also trying to take notice of the goings on around the wagon. Perception 22(nat.20) 15 in the 20 needs to be confirmed.
The horses though a little spooked are military trained and hold their ground. nothing seems to be moving as the ground takes on a violet hue stained by the rain. the rain lasts for about an hour and then the sky begins to clear

Brandy agrees. Let's secure the room before we hit the hay.

The room is secure
Brandy will prepare for today's travel by prayer, eating breakfast, preparing his gear, packing a second breakfast, and saying goodbye to Sam.
after everyone has had breakfast and packed their gear, we will take the wagon out as planned, with Brandy driving and Ulwin and I hidden in the back. I figure this means we will leave the keep around 6AM. We will take the road to the bridge and see what happens.

You can hear the bells of the keep ringing in the distance. The rain falls so strong that you cannot see more than 10 feet
