”There seems to be something glistening in that fireplace” Nimb points to the fireplace, still walling towards it, but being careful to look around the rest of the room as well
After some moments of seeming instrospection and uncertainty, Del follows Nimb, Jake and Mizzula upstairs. Hearing Nimb's inquiry regarding the room, Del steps in and his attention is immediately grabbed by the webs covering the walls and ceiling. Marvelling at their fragile beauty but unfamiliar with their nature, Del exclaims the word "Extraordinary!" examines them closely trying to discern what kind of beast (if any) made them, how old they are and anything else notable about them.

Selinae and Sybella:
As the ladies enter the room it looks like just an ordinary room that was used for writing or studying. Books lay broken and rotting on shelves and paper is thrown about the ink destroyed by age and water. Against the wall under the windows sits a large wooden writing desk, partially broken and riddled with damp rot.
Mizzula, Nimb, and Jake:
As Nimb approaches the fireplace he comes to find that the glint is a from a small crystal bauble probably worth a couple of silver if sold. The flat-bottomed crystal orb is pleasant to look at and tactilely satisfying to hold, but ultimately neither particularly valuable nor useful.
As Nimb begins to examine the item Del is able to get a good intiuation that the crystal orb may be apart of a set that is used as a counterweight in some type of alchemical work.
As the two stand examining the object a mass of spider begins to move down the door towards Mizzula and another one begins to move towards Nimb and Jake coming from the ashes of the fire place.

I need initiative checks from you three…and then I’ll post the map.
Selinae grabbed hold of the writing desk and pulled it over to crash to the ground, " The others are upstairs, right? Lets check the room at the end of this hall then go see how they're doing."
Then she walked out the door and turned right towards the room at the end of the hall...
OOC: I'm converting the rolled initiatives to the new group initiatives. The rolls for the spiders was 5 and 20. So the spiders get an initiative of 12. The rolls for the PCs were 2 and 21. So the PCs get an initiative of 11. :(
Round 1 enemies turn:
S1 (Fireplace): Attack: 9 Damage: 5
S2 (Door) Attack: 18 Damage: 8
The spiders attack, swarming Mizzula and Jake. Somehow Mizzula manages to bat them away fast enough that he doesn't get bit. Jake isn't as lucky and takes 8 points of damage.
Round 1 Heros' Turn:
Nimb, seeing that Jake is in trouble, uses his daggers to attempt to kill them before they can bring Jake down. He managed to kill quite a few of them, causing 7 points of damage to the swarm. Mizzula, already low on HP from the earlier fight, focuses on knocking all the spiders off of himself and flees to the far corner of the room.
Current battle map:
Need round 1 actions for Jake and Del.
Gom, Selinae, and Sybella are not in combat and may continue normally.
The spiders attack, swarming Del and Jake causing 3 hp dmg to Del and 5 hp dmg to Jake.
Round 2 heroes' turn:
Sleep: 24
Mizzula is injured and freaked out right now. Taking deep breaths and trying to figure out what to do he casts Sleep on the spiders. Both swarms start to fall off of Jake and Del and land on the floor. Mizzula takes a slow breathe and softly says, "They're asleep. I'm leaving this room before they wake up."
OOC: So, I forgot that spider swarm's damage decreases when they lose half their hp. I went back to add a new line for the damage and now, every time I edit this post the rolls below the one that's crossed out, changes. The original rolls were 5, 18, 3 and 29. Apologies for jacking up the temperamental dicebot.
Awaiting round two actions from Jake, Del, and Nimb

With tears glimerring at the corners of his black eyes at more needless violence against the natural creatures of this land, Jake nods in agreement with Mizzula and leaves the room, careful not to step on any of the sleeping spiders and stopping only to pick up and pocket the crystal orb on their way out.
Once in the hallway, Del notices the severity of Jakes wounds and ignoring his own minor injuries, murmers an ancient aquatic druidic hymn that he was taught as a boy, "See how the sea soothes. O'er salt, surf, shoal and sand, O look ye how the sea cares for those its own."
Finally, Del with scimitar in hand listens and peers about carefully to see if the fight with the spiders has drawn any other threats.
[OOC] Del uses his move action to move out into the hallway overlooking the foyer below, uses his free action to pick up the crystal orb, his bonus action to cast healing word6 and his action to use perception9 to try and detect further threats.

Selinae and Sybella walk into what appears to be a living room. A door in the north wall leads onto a small patio, the paving cracked and overrun with weeds. Other than a pile of refuse in the southeast corner, the room is empty.
Selinae moved across the room carefully to inspect the writing desk and go through the open drawers then open the closed one.
