Sybella scratches her chin and thinks of her mother. She replies, "Oy, before we go, think I should check that?"She gestures at the entryway. "If we have to get out of here in a hurry, it would be a shame if it were trapped... You never know when ghosts and hooligans are involved!"

If nothing of interest is noticed, Sybella easily leaves with Selinae.

As you look around the entry your don't see anything related to traps. Additionally, you see tracks showing where people have entered and exited the room through the doorway.
”Let’s get out of here before they wake up, I don't wanna have to kill the little guys if we don't have to”Nimb says before walking to the west, up until the intersection. He then looks back and says ”Which way?”
"Sure, sure," Sybella nods, "It's all clear here. Though I wonder if we should regroup with the others..."

Seeing no immediate threat and puzzled by the lack of response by either the ruffians or ghosts who are rumoured to abide in this place, Del nods in response to Nimb's question and moves to the next door on this side of the hallway and opens it to look inside, his scimitar raised and ready to strike should anything hostile emerge from within.

Unless Mizzula, Nimb or Jake indicates otherwise, Del moves to the next door down, the last in this hallway and repeats his attempt at a cautious entrance.

"Well, even though we've made a bit of noise already, I don't like the idea of smashing doors down. Besides, with enough searching, we may find keys to these rooms elsewhere. Should we cross to the Eastern hallway, head North of the stairwell or go bsck down to regroup with our other companions?"

”I still have the key we found on the hook on the other end of this hallway, remember? Maybe it’ll work on one of these doors?” Nimb attempts to unlock then open the two doors that Del tried to open, in the same order he tried them in, stopping if one of them unlocks.
As Nimb uses the key in the first door, it clicks and he's able to open it. Looking into the room you all see that it's another dirty, decaying bedroom without furniture. Even viewed from the doorway, it’s evident that the floor in here does not look safe; some of the floorboards are missing, and others are partially dislodged.
You all notice recent tracks that lead from the door to the window, and back again, along the west edge of the room. [Everyone's passive investigation was above the required DC 10 Investigation].
"Sure, sure," Sybella nods, "It's all clear here. Though I wonder if we should regroup with the others..."
" I'm sure they'll scream or something if they have any problems. I just want to make sure theres nothing behind us before we all go upstairs."
As Selinae says this, she casts her eyes back over the room one last time and notices something. Stepping back into the room she bends down and sees... yes. Their faint, but those are footprints as she follows them with her eyes she sees that they stop nearly in the middle of the room. Not getting to close she studies the area where the stop. Now she sees prints leading from the patio door into the room. These prints stop on the other side of the same tile. Realization suddenly dawning on her, Selinae realizes she's found a trap door.
OCC: Selinae, in my mind, is standing about 15 feet away from the trap door at this point.
Smiling and patting Mizzula on the shoulder after his head-knock, Del moves forward to peer over Nimbs shoulder into the room beyond, saying, "Watch your head there, Miz. Nicely done, Nimb. Doesn't look to be much in there... though those tracks look fresh and might have given whoever made them a view of our approaching the house. Might explain the absence of these supposed bandits. I wonder if they've left the building? Of course, that still doesn't explain the lack of ghosts.
I don't like the look of those floors, but do you think the key might work in the next door down, Nimb?"
