George lowers his bow, approaches a bit closer and speaks up 'The CUT? Those are some, ahem, interesting folks. I can see why you would want to get rid of them. Perhaps we could work something out to help you and free the prisoners?'
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The CUT weren't exactly a pleasant lot but neither was sending fiends out against people. Still, Sarah knew a friend was better than an enemy. If the CUT was making trouble, along with the mess with the PPA, more hostilities were hardly recommended. She is, however, making sure they aren't lying or misleading them, to the best of her abilities.

He believes he is telling the truth. To George "The Old One has told the Lady that the CUT are advancing too quickly. They will become much stronger before they are finally defeated but they can be delayed now. We must find a way without having them turn their eye upon The People."
Still wary but a bit more at ease, Thomas casts Invisibility on himself while deep in the concealing woods, then moves closer, ready to provide support if needed. Wishing he had a way to speak with the other members of the group, he waits to see the results of the parley.

“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Her instincts were screaming not to give an inch. That said, she felt a sliver of pity for the strange woman. Wield your powers or they wield you. It was an uncomfortable reminder, for sure.
"So, you have a zealot problem you don't want to be linked to fixing. What has the CUT been up to? We might be willing to help but I'm sure you understand we wouldn't want to agree to anything blindly."
Thomas inspects this sudden appearance, silently cursing his failure to detect them earlier. A more advanced invisibility spell, probably, far beyond his meager skills. Seeing an almost visible aura of danger from this leader, he silently tells Gamliel to stay hidden in the woods, far out of range.
#That explains only 4 'remounts'. Didn't notice all the remounts had saddles, did you?#

"The CUT have sent out missionaries. Some areas have been harsh with them and this has put them at the top of the CUT's conquer list. My patron has told me that the missionaries in The People's lands must be destroyed but the blame must point elsewhere or we will pay dearly in blood. I tried talking to those PPA people who had taken the hostages but they where, as usual, arrogant and refused to even talk to me so we killed them. The Old One then told me that bringing the captives with us would supply the answer to our problem. Are you the answer to our problem?"

"They don't sounds like pleasant neighbors. What is it you want us to do to stop the CUT?" Sarah asks. "We know nothing of their numbers, strongholds or even who leads them. We also have to consider they would seek reprisal on our own land and kin."

"Kill their missionaries in our lands but make sure to let a couple escape so that they know it wasn't us. The would try revenge on you if they know who you are. Pretend to be PPA or United States of Boise. You're smart, you'll figure something out. 'What's in it for us' you might ask. ell the CUT will conquer us all in time and this will slow them down. The People will become your allies instead of a conquered people who are part of the CUT territory and I will owe you."
"Please allow us a moment to discuss this," Sarah excuses herself.
Moving back a little she gestures her companions to come within speaking distance.
"What do you think? I like the idea of striking before the CUT gains more power but we just antagonized the PPA. Unless we can disguise ourselves well, this could explode in our faces. So, any ideas?"
Thomas slips into the back of the group and touches George on his shoulder to alert him of his presence. After Sarah asks her question, he quietly responds, not wanting their newfound 'friends' to know he's nearby. "Disguises for some of us are easily achieved, and we could fake it for others. I don't think I want to miss the chance to set the PPA and the Universals at each others throats. Not even mentioning getting into the good graces of a group that isn't completely out to rule the world like Morgoth."

"I do like the way you think," Sarah says giving a crocodile grin. "We'll need to pass on the news about CUT, though. Everyone needs to know we have a new threat on the horizon."
"I think I could fix up a pretty good PPA with my ink and all. Hell, all I'd really need would be the uniform and I'd look just like those mutton heads," Em offers. "The idea of framing them pleases me greatly, karma for all those friends of mine they killed."
George casts his voice to be heard by his comrades.
'This is a no-brainer. Kill the CUT missionaries, free the Nez, bring them in as allies and point the CUT at the PPA. What's not to like? Should be easy enough to pull off. Which is the only thing that worries me.'
'They stripped the PPA bodies if we can borrow some of their accouterments that should be enough to sell us as PPA. We don't have a lot of intel on the CUT, some rumblings about them. They are a cult, they think any technology - even crossbows - is too much and will bring about the wrath of the gods again. Should be easy enough to crush.'

Em dismounts and looks back at the group, making sure everyone is in agreement -- Em would like to parley and perhaps help.
Sarah nods cautiously. She'd really like to know who 'The Lady' is and why she though unleashing hellbeasts was a polite hello.
Still wary but a bit more at ease, Thomas casts Invisibility on himself while deep in the concealing woods, then moves closer, ready to provide support if needed. Wishing he had a way to speak with the other members of the group, he waits to see the results of the parley.

You seem to have come to a meeting of the minds so the Dark Lady appears along with three more warriors.
She looks at Sarah and grandpa "One of the lesser adepts" she smiles "does he natter on unendingly my dear?"
She sets all your creeped out metres to full but is making no hostile moves.

"Well Howdy, neighbor," Aleister says to the person who sat down in the middle of the trail. "Who got cut? Maybe I can patch them up."
OCC Can he discern anything about this 'Dark Lady'?
"Whoa!" he exclaims went she appears. "That's a perty neat trick y'all did there, any chance ye kin learn it t'me?"
OCC On close inspection it appears that Aleister has gain a few pounds, vicariously to be sure.
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
