Once you get on board you head up to the bridge. You find the ships log. The last entry tells of how everything stopped working 3 weeks ago and the ship started drifting. After a week of work they worked out how to drop the anchor without power. They could see mountains to the east so the captain sent the first mate and some crew to shore to get help. After a week no one returned so the captain and remaining crew took the other ship's boat and headed east.
Going to the first container once aboard, Thomas pulls out a small black case and begins working on the lock, curious as to the contents. "I guess these are considered ours by right of salvage? Core ten steel might be useful for armor, too. It's kind of dark inside the ship, though. I guess we need torches. "

Crew quarters (cleared out) galley. A dead freezer, a mess where they where cooking without electricity burning engine oil (yuck) a few cans of food left. a machine shop with a lot of dead power tools but a lot of other non power stuff.
If he makes it on board, he'd like to look for a manifest to see what's onboard: Investigation 11
The manifest

George: ‘The canned Herring alone makes a recovery effort here more than worthwhile - it’ll give us the margin we need to get to the potato harvest Might even give us enough extra that we can recruit folks we meet along the way who are worth bringing back to Town for their skills.’
’Tom how hard would it be to get back to port from here? I feel like we should alert them and get the recovery underway before we head to Portland’
’Personally - I’d like to take a peek at the gear headed to Bridge City Fight shop. Feel like we can use all the help we can get right now.’

O forgetful people - you have with you a cage with four homing pigeons for just this eventuality.
'Carrier Pigeons! We have Carrier Pigeons! We almost forgot' ;)
George scrambles back to the catamaran and scribbles out a note detailing what they found, how to find the ship and urges them to get a crew out here ASAP to claim and potentially defend the haul.
George does a little happy dance - the mother load.
And he looks at the list again - there's something there... it just won't come.
George walks over to Juliette - 'Take a look over this manifest - I feel like there's something here I'm missing.'

EDIT: I mean c'mon with that roll!
Well if you can’t get it with a dice roll maybe you can get it by logic. Or, maybe one of the others can work it out.
Oh - well I was just picking up on the highlights for myself - :)
Obviously all the meds from the CVS crate but with a priority on antibiotics and painkillers , the hardware crate (looking for washers, spools of wire, hand tools and gardening supplies), the machine shop from the ship (can be converted to run on water or pedal power), The NFL gear would be handy for the town militia (and we should check that crate carefully for bows, xbows, knives, camping gear, etc.).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Looking over the list of items, Thomas offers "Let's get this martial arts one open, although sporting goods would have been more likely to contain bows and such. I might handle a crossbow well enough, if there's one. A lot of metal here to rework, too. There's probably a lot more here that isn't listed, depending on the ports they were headed to." With that, he takes direction on which containers to open. "As far as staying, those books aren't going anywhere, right? Let's protect the town's valuables. Did you say there was something to look at?"

While everyone is looking for stuff Eva will be on guard just in case there is someone still on the boat.

It will be at least a day or two before backup from home can get to you. Do you want to wait here until they show or continue on to get the books?
I vote we stay and guard until they get here - this haul is to valuable to lose.
Would also give us some time to poke through the containers and see if there's anything that would help us on the quest.
George would be willing to take first watch during the day from the Bridge - watching for any approaching boats. Perception 13
