Looking over the list of items, Thomas offers "Let's get this martial arts one open, although sporting goods would have been more likely to contain bows and such. I might handle a crossbow well enough, if there's one. A lot of metal here to rework, too. There's probably a lot more here that isn't listed, depending on the ports they were headed to." With that, he takes direction on which containers to open. "As far as staying, those books aren't going anywhere, right? Let's protect the town's valuables. Did you say there was something to look at?"

OOC - HA! Sherlock Holmes we are NOT! Is the football gear at all usable for armour better than what we are wearing?
When watches are being arranged, Tom mentions "We don't want a fire to show we're here, but we could burn stuff for cooking in one of the rooms without showing our presence, right?"
You finally get the lock open. There’s gis and mats and practice weapons but up the back is a full set of samurai armour with katana, wakizashi and longbow in a display case.
Uthvern whistles, "Well I'll be damned! Look at that beauty!" He looks at the others, "So, uh, what should we do with it? I have no doubt it could be useful but. . . ."
"HellifIknow. I can barely handle the short sword I've got, and I know nothing about bows. If that thing not just ceremonial, it's worth a ton in the right hands. Let's see what else we can find." Moving on to the next container, Thomas tries again to release the new lock (Isn't it routine, yet?:D) 22, 14, 9
"There's got to more than what the manifest shows. Any stolen smuggler's goods somewhere?"

You find a container full of the latest iPhones, worth about $2,000,000. Oh wait...
Thomas sighs and just starts opening each container, one by one, calling out softly it's contents. "I could use a little light, too. Anyone got a torch?"

gorgeous! But attached to the back wall of the container is a metal box about coffin sized. Locked with 5 Hi-Shear Padlocks (considered the best in the world) Titanium alloy, almost unpickable. There is a logo on the box.
And suddenly George clicks on what was bugging him about the manifest. "Brian McCabe, is a senior executive with G4S, the second largest military contractor in the world behind Blackwater."
"I wonder how that guys feels now that all his guns and advanced milspec hardware is so much raw metal? Let's see what I can do about getting this thing open. Maybe he's left us a gift that doesn't require tech to use. These things look tough - you may want to find a big pair of bolt cutters. "

George: ‘Oy! We need some muscle in here on their crowbar - hoping two or three of us can pop this container open’
The box is some sort of titanium alloy as well. Pure muscle will not open it. You can detach the box from the container with some work but without high end cutting equipment you are not going to open it without picking the padlocks. 2 consecutive DC 25 lock pick attempts x5. Not impossible but it is not going to be easy. Also, would you actually want to destroy those padlocks and the metal of the box. They could be very useful in and of themselves.

Fail, fail, fail, fail, fail, fail, success (you took thieve's tools as one of your Expertise choices so you are +7 not +5), success. You have opened the first padlock.
No one can help you because you are the only one who knows how to pick a lock.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC - Yes, I did, but I forgot since it doesn't show a number on the DNDB sheet. Thanks!
"One down, four to go. Crap these things are tough! Nobody guards their ships with this kind of lock. Maybe a battleship. You keep prying, I'll keep working at the rest."

Nope. This is frustrating as hell and as time goes on without rest you'll get worse. One more set of 6 rolls and then you need to sleep.

Uthvern looks over, "What are we cracking open? I love crackin for some good gear."

Uthvern wants to look around and see if there's any 'hidden' goods, 13
Nothing outside the containers. If you want to search them then let me know which one. It's beginning to get dark.
Thomas sighs and just starts opening each container, one by one, calling out softly it's contents. "I could use a little light, too. Anyone got a torch?"

Ooc. I'm assuming we all would have one? Cause if so then
Ic. Uthvern steps forward, "I got you." He pulls his flashlight out and points in the container Thomas is looking in.
Um... flashlight? You mean with batteries and stuff that doesn't work.
Ooc. Did not think of that, good point forgot XD
I would like to use a torch then, if I'm able? 😂😂😂
