Tallow carefully opens the door and peeks inside, seeing a 20' wide and 15'deep cabin whose walls form the bow of the ship. The corpse of a knight wearing plate armor slumps on a throne at the forward part of this compartment. The ship’s bones spill from the knight’s chest and are entwined with his body, fusing him to the vessel. You recognize Tarbin Tul, a male human bard, from the tavern at the crossroads between Phandalin and Leilon. He wears an ankle manacle that is chained to a heavy iron ball and looks at you desperately, clutching a lute to his chest!
The voice of the ship comes from the knight's skeleton - "So you made it to my cabin. Well. I would be more hospitable if I had not already asked you to leave. It is too bad your little friend wasn't smothered to death out there. Don't worry - I have other surprises if you do not LEAVE!" You feel the entire ship shudder with the last yelled demand!
Genren keeps his hands on the hilts of his blades as he stands a few feet behind Tallow. "Ay, let the lad go free and we'll be out of your hair in no time. No need to cause any more of a ruckus."
The bard's restraints pop open, and with the dagger hits on the skeleton, the ship withdraws the body into the hull, swallowing it in bones! "Nooo!!" you hear the voice cry out as you take the bard and start to leave.
(Everyone make an Acrobatics and Athletics check to make it off the ship before it gets too far away from the shore!)
Genren, graceful as always, swiftly navigates the ladders and decks to reach the shore moments before the ship breaks away. Tallow, not as graceful in his attempts to force his way through the debris of the animated hammocks, is delayed a few seconds and has to jump into the water and swim the remaining few yards to the rocky shore.
With the Talos cult defeated for good, and the bard safely retrieved and returned to Lielon, the party is finally able to settle down and help the town get established!
Tallow opens the door slowly just enough to see inside

"Fine, we'll leave. Let us just collect our friend here and we'll be on the way."
Genren keeps his hands on the hilts of his blades as he stands a few feet behind Tallow. "Ay, let the lad go free and we'll be out of your hair in no time. No need to cause any more of a ruckus."
The voice continues to emanate from the skeleton, although nothing actually moves. "I like my songbird. He reminds me of Anauria, my lost homeland."
The bard looks at you and quietly implores you to take him with you...

Ronkur closes in behind the quieter members of the party, letting the charge in his fist gem build up.
(readied action - Firebolt at the first sign of aggression)
The party feels the ship shudder a little and hears scraping sounds from outside the hull...the ship is coming off the rocks!

Tallow casts Knock on the bards manacle. "Let's get you out of here. Come on, let's go!"
“Ahhh shit shit, alright we’re off!” Genren throws two daggers at the figure before running out with the group. “Follow me!”
