A wicked grin starts to spread on Enkindle's face. Just as it looks as she opens her mouth, she hesitates and looks away with a frown, clearly mulling over a thought. "... Ugh.. ****'n... No. No... We go in. We got an idea on how many's inside. But we don't wanna go wake'm all up at once just to draw'em out. We've been lucky so far the dumbass posted twiddle dee and tweedle destined-to-die on duty. Same with the ambush too. As Helm as my witness, I rather not rely on Tymora to not screw us at this point."She says frankly.
Taking a gold piece from her pouch, she kisses it and says, "May the light of his eyes banish the darkness before ours."Light slowly starts to emanate from the coin. After giving it some thought, she flicks the coin over to the human of their party. "Here ya go, ya old fart. Just pocket it whenever ya need to keep it obscure it completely. But don't ask me 'bout no half measures with it. Ain't never had much use fer it since milord's light is in me."She turns to the others. "If its all the same to the rest of ya. Think I'll take point this time."
IC: Inxori blinks in astonishment at the glowing coin. "That's a fine trick, Enkindle. And you've got better taste than I. I would have used a copper."
Fae wouldn’t be as graceful as the others crossing through the river, but she’d believe she really made an effort. She’d catch up with the others just as Enkindle casts her spell. Fae’s eyes would light up in a bit of awe at the bright coin being tossed over to her party member. “I’m good with following.” She’d still hang on to her handaxe she didn’t get to throw.
After his anime style kill Rigg turns back to the others, tells them the coast is clear.
The darkness of the cave is daunting. Enkindle tosses Rigg the magical coin and he thanks the firecaster, "Ha, get us through this cave and I'll pay you one gold coin."
He turns back to his military mind, "I'll bring up the rear," Rigg states, "we don't need this coin giving us away so easily. Try to see them first before they see us."
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where two wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf's chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
There's one stalagmite in the left corner of the wolf room, by the entrance that could be used as half cover.
Inxori can see into the wolf room with darkvision. Apparently, it's like the light from when the sun is rising and setting. There are no creatures or noises beyond the wolves. At the end of the room, opposite from the entrance, is a narrow steep opening that likely leads somewhere. And at the feet of the opening is a pile of rubble that seems to have originated from the creation of the opening. The rubble spans a five feet radius around the opening and gives difficult terrain. The pile gets taller the closer you get to the opening. The room's width is about 10 feet, while its length is about 20. Oh, and there's three wolves in total.
IC: Inxori blinks in astonishment at the glowing coin. "That's a fine trick, Enkindle. And you've got better taste than I. I would have used a copper."

For earlier - Enkindle eyes narrow. "Just this once, I'll pretend ya didn't ask me to insult my own god."She states dryly.
IC: "We probably need to deal with these wolves if we want to investigate the opening in there. Do we do that, or continue past this room?"
IC: “Would the lack of snarls and growling be suspicious to the goblins?” Fae’d think out loud.
IC:
"Just the opposite." She replies to Fae without taking her eyes off the wolves, then spits a sizzling wad off to teh side. "Despicable little ****ers. That ain't no wait to treat'cha guardians. Be they man or beast." Without waiting to explain, Enkindle deviates to approach the wolf room -- Slowly, if only out of respect for their wolves. "Easy there, now. No need for things to get rough now." She digs out some jerky rations and waves it in the air, hoping to give them time to catch the scent. "Yeah that's right. Somethin good. Just for ya. Trade ya it and those chains fer ya freedom. Howzat sound?" She offers, readying to toss the first days worth of jerky to them.
If after she's got them calmed again, she'll start to approach further..
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Moment of Truth...
IC:
If she starts to see even a little wavering in the wolves, her eyes begin to glow brighter as she sings too softly for most ears a short Hymn. One to ease them further as much as it was a beseeching Helm to provide a spiritual connection with the forcefully made guardians.

At first the wolf lunged at Enkindle, though it couldn't reach her since its chain was so short. But that didn't stop it from biting and snarling at her. The wolf couldn't see her, but it sure could smell her. Suddenly the wolf sniffed something else, something delicious. Replacing the snarl and attack stance of the wolf was a tongue hanging submissively, flowing from it an anticipatory drool, and now the wolf sat upright, as if to please. The other two wolves in the room did the same.
Fair enough. Fae would make the motion of excited clapping, but wouldn’t actually clap her hands together. Be very very quiet. She wouldn’t enter the room until Enkindle would signal it was safe to do so.
Enkindle unflinchingly stood her ground rather than retreat, knowing to do otherwise might push the wolves over the edge. She takes out a few more strips of jerky and scatter them in easy reach of the wolves, but separate enough they wouldn't start fighting over the same batch... or so she hoped. Once wolves are good and distracted, the fire genasi moves in to start pulling out the pin of at least one, switching to another verse for strength unthinkingly.
"Psst. Ya ****ers can keep goin'. I'mma see if I can convince these guys to help in the long run while we're here."

Fae would nod at Enkindle and flag the others to follow her. She’d move slowly and quietly as to not steal the attention of the dogs. She’d hug the wall for most of the way until she gets to the other side of the room. Fae would put her ear on the wall to see if she can hear anything before peeking through the next door way.

After finishing the jerky and being partially freed, the wolf paced around in a circle, curled itself up in a ball and went to sleep. The other wolves followed suit. Wolves always were an ungrateful sort.

As Fae nears the pile of rubble she notices some bits of bone among it. There were stray bones across the entire room, but around the rubble was where much more were. She hears the sound of a voice or two, though she can't tell exactly how many or what they're saying over the echo of falling water.

You guys don't have to enter the wolf room. You could also continue to move forward, through the main cave passage.
OOC: Can Inxori see into the wolf room with darkvision? Are there creatures or noises beyond the wolves?

She’d peer back in, sticking more of her head in the doorway in hopes her eyes would adjust to the rooms light better.

She can't look into it. It's like a chimney or a chute. She'd have to climb up it to see anything.
