(sorry, it’s me that forgot, there are only two wyverns as one got murdered - so 2nd level then?)
Wyvern saving throws: 1810
Both Wyverns dice straight towards the ship with talons and stingers pointed star the men, the sight of you sends them fluttering away like scared chickens. The men cheer, you however know the effects are temporary...
Aether (yes if there were only two left I would use 2nd level)
”Do not celebrate yet. Their fear will not last long.”
Aether looks to the captain as he talks but speaks loud enough to be sure everyone can hear. I then make my way to the side of the ship nearest where the lizards flew off. "Frida tuŝo"his metallic skeletal hand began glowing a pale green.
Holding chill touch for the first target to get within 120’
Aether - (Alright - high rolls good for the ship, low rolls... bad. One D20 for each round - I will allow you to state actions other than you own attacks to do on the ship to add a modifier to the roll to improve chances of success. Be creative)
The Wyverns come screeching down after the boat has turned as set up for their continued attack. Aether’s spell gets dodged but in the wyvern swerves right in the path of one of the ballistas as it’s wing gets torn. It dips a bit but corrects. The other wyvern missed its attack with its stinger. As they fly by the bells continue to ring and the chaos has turned into more orderly combat as the men are in their positions. You see Anders ducked behind some barrels casting a spell. Instantly you see the tips of the ballistas burn bright red with heat once they were reloaded. (Heat metal). They oversized bolts glow like flares waiting for their time to strike. The waves are sloshing against the sides of the boat soaking the deck
The investigation has only just begun, but do not fear; the righteous and god-fearing simple folk of this city have no reason for alarm, for Torm has sent us to protect you. We shall investigate the alley, and if necessary speak to the any other witnesses - perhaps the husband of this 'Nancy' that you spoke of? Tell me, is there any other detail you can remember that will aid us?
If there is no more information to be had, Matteo will bow politely and leave, headed towards the alley where people 'appeared' from thin air.
The elderly woman looks tired, not used to this much attention she fatigues easily. She rubs her finger tips to her temples as she closed her eyes. Her son Greco comes to aid her as he helps her to her feet with a concerned look. He looks to the group “I think that’s enough for today. I trust you’ll see yourself out.” His mother looks to Greco before nodding and says “yes, I need my rest, maybe another time.” As she is escorted up.

Aether
Aether takes a look up at the torn sail and the crew moving around the deck. Then runs up to the captain keep watch at the sky and gripping wyvern within reach with necrotic energy. "Captain! What are they after? If they want meal perhaps there are some crew that could satiate their hunger to save the ship! I have a way of replacing a few that might be lost."
What do you think? Matteo asks the others after they have left the haberdashery. Sounds more like madness than our folk. Demons maybe? Or just crazy folk? Along with the rest of the party, he's walking towards the alley that was described by the old woman.
Drax would nod and follow along... watching the mother and son and trying to pay close attention to how they interact with one another. As he follows his companions out of the building, he would look back to try to catch one last glimpse of the pair.
Insight.. 14
"Very strange..." The disguised monk would whisper as he rests his hands on the body of the snake wrapped around himself. Hmmm....
As Drax looks back he sees a very concerned son taking care of his weak, tired mother. Then the door shuts.
Looking over the alley you see broken tankards and glasses as the stone is sticky with dried ale. A crates gets shuffled around as a raccoon scatters from your presence. It’s a small width of an alley as the neighboring buildings line across the other side. A general store is across the way which appears to hold another apartmentlike abode above it.

Aether, you shout out to the captain, he heeds you’re words as he begins to order the crew to throw over some stock of the smoked meet. Two sailors rush down below deck to retrieve it (they will begin to bring out next round.)

The two Wyverns swoop down in tandem, your chill touch latches on to the one as ice crystals fly off it. (Just barely hit). Unfortunately it targets you in retaliation as you see a sailor next to you impaled with the poison stinger from the other wyvern. You get attacked as well.
Stinger attack - Attack: 11 Damage: 12
On a strike DC 15 constitution save or take 27 poison save and you are considered poisoned. (Half damage and no effect on success)
Followed by a claw attack - Attack: 11 Damage: 12
The stinger misses by a hair, while the claw slices through your chest as it passes by. Barrels get knocked over in the process and slam into the water below. A smell creeps into your nose. It seems oil was in the barrels and is now leaking out on the surface of the water surrounding the boat.
a moment passes and the sailors bring a crate of meats to the deck. Your initiative.
(Sorry guys we went to Legoland yesterday and I worked today. Trying to have the energy to do anything)
Matteo your divine sense picks nothing up I. The area. You knew it was a slim chance as you know it doesn’t work through full cover. This skinny alley doesn’t leave much for one to hide.
Looking in the store, or the back side before walking around up front. Empty and broken down crates presumably for firewood are stacked in a hazardous pile. The front clean and orderly. The window is open in the second floor where the apartment would be as the smell of biscuits waft out into the air.
I join the men in heaving the crates over the side. Trying to time it with the rocking of the ship and the wyvern attack I attempt to shove one of the men over board with the meat and make it look like an accident. All the while watching for the next attacks.
(Let me know what if anything I need to roll for getting a guy overboard. As for the wyverns I’ll take the dodge action if I can.)
Updated previous post to separate IC description from Ooc mechanics a bit. And to try and be clear about what I’m trying to do.

My bad Aether, kind of finished without saying it’s your go. The Wyverns are about to make another pass at the ship. What is your move?
Group: still on you, technically Risha wouldn’t know anything is amiss. Yes I know you saw me roll, but try to not let it effect your characters.

Matteo uses his divine sense to detect undead, fiends and celestials, if there are any nearby. Then he goes over to investigate the general store.

Do you go inside?

Drax would make his way inside, rubbing his belly as he does so. "Something smells divine in here.." He would say with a smile.
