"it wouldn't hurt to scout the site." She winces as her left jaw hinge clicks out of its housing, and again as she jams it back in. "Ok night hurt a little. So no nore than scouting!"
She tries a few gestures and druidic phrases to summon her companion back to her side.
"I agree. It's no big deal if I fly sneaky above the area. Maybe more demons lurk in the trees where we can't see from the ground. Eternus can fly along if they want....but I am expert sneaky so I can be back in a flash!"
If no one objects to this Orrbet will soar into the air and try to be quiet and stealthy to scout the area around the waterfall for any enemies or traps.

Orrbet you scower the area around the waterfall and above it the surrounding area. There is no traps in the area. or other monsters/demons for now there doesn't need to be as you see a little pocket behind the waterfall that indicates a secret entrance it does look quite old though. it is well protected by the waterfalls mass poor and sharp rocks at the bottom. (You see the object on the floating platforms disappear as well).

"To get to that secret entrance would be tricky...even for us flying folk. Maybe we should camp out for a while, see if anything else comes our way? I don't know what that object is...but if it disappeared it may have a mind of its own."

"Is.... is it save? Don't want to crack my visque!" Kamina is a little hesitant to go anywhere in her ropey state, but if nothing else, behind a waterfall that's hard to get through is probably a little bit safer than out here in the open. Given that her pet has failed to reappear, She tentatively flits over towards the waterfall for a look, attempting to part the flow like a curtain with a wave of her stubby little hand - Shape Water: You instantaneously move or otherwise change the flow of the water as you direct, up to 5 feet in any direction. This movement doesn’t have enough force to cause damage.
(Given that this feature of the cantrip is instantaneous rather than having a duration, presume that it will require multiple castings to "hold" it open for the group if anyone wants to explore further)
OOC : the flow is diverted by 5' so it should be 5' wide but as tall as is needed depending on how high up the waterfall she diverts, but bearing in mind that the chaotic nature of the flow would see it rejoin itself at some point. As long as you're no more than 5' front to back you can turn sideways and shimmy through, I'd reckon. Depending on the topology, if there's no solid ground to work with the spell can divert the waterfall no more than about 15' over a 5ft-10ft frozen platform (a separate effect of same spell) so you can walk through. I think 5ft platform would be safest given that having 2 continuous effects on top of an ongoing instantaneous effect is pushing the boundaries of what a cantrip should be able to do. But casting the cantrip while 1 of the continuous effects is still active is built into the description.
Noticing that people start to move towards the waterfalls Vezder calls out to them, “I think the most rational move would be to rest here for the night for these folks to recover and then go back to town and report to the elder. Maybe we could get that guy with the scar to come along and he would be able to help us with the demons. If you are going to investigate the waterfalls now someone should stay with the injured.”
ooc: the entrance is definitely behind the waterfall, so Kamina's Shape Water might be useful. DM said "you see a little pocket behind the waterfall", which sounds like a small entrance, unless it is only perceived as small because of distance
OOC: I am good with a short rest if its mid day. If it is starting to get late in the day, wouldn't hurt to go back to town and update to elder. Rest in the inn for the night and start a new in the morning!

Shape water would work (Don't see why it wouldn't) It's a large waterfall think of like niagrafalls but half it's size in height 60 ft tall and not nearly as wide by 15 ft wide approximately. the whole is big enough for a huge creature to just squeeze through. time a day is mid day

Seeing the noon day sun's light glint off the cascading torrent, Kamina retreats back to the group for a well earned picnic. "Lashings and lashings of chewy rations!" she exclaims.
(i.e. I'm committing to the short rest! Hit Die spent, roll : 6)
Orrbet will explain to the group his history with demons. When he was a young boy, about 100 years ago, a party of demon raiders stormed the castle his family stayed in. Many perished, including Orrbets mother, but the keep was able to fend off the raiders. Orrbet's mother was killed right in front of him and one of the raider's spared his life...but not before taking a slash out of him with a single clawed finger as a reminder of that terrible day.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sshibek listens gravely to the story then says "Starting today, demons are my favourite prey. Rest now, then we'll look for more of them to sent to their maker."
Sshibek sits cross-legged sharpening his axe using the dagger, then circles the area for a bit looking for wild fruit.

Vezder will be on the watch during the rest as he doesn’t need one, but he will handpg around the group. “That’s... a lot. So, what are you, a royalty?”, he responded to Orrbet. He sniffed the air and looked around for threat.
"No no dear Vezder. Where I come from everyone lives in castles! It is our habitat...we like dark and gloomy places. Hence my skin tone!" We do have a mayor who oversees the land, but the people have most of the power and we work together well."
