Shaukuu shakes off the brief distraction and clips the thread with his claw. He covers his side of the wagon with another scan of the surrounding area.
Shaukuu shaking off his natural urges for ...Purrrfection. Now see the same rock formation now right beside you all. It looks as though someone through together these stones but for what purpose you have no idea. Continuing on past the formation you watch as it disappears in the distance as the sun sets on your first day of travel it is beginning to get darker if you would like to push forward through part of the night you could make it to Phandalin by midnight but you risk exhaustion or would you like to make camp?
You should always be at your best wherever you go, no?Varis answers with a question. This is where my home was. The people of the town are good people.

"If it's alright with everyone, we ought to take shifts. There's enough of us here that everyone should be able to keep a lookout and get a night's rest. I volunteer to take the first shift if that's what we're going to do."
"Elves don't require eight hours of sleep. I can take two shifts," Dales says. "I can take the second and third watch. Or I might simply stand guard anyway. Two eyes are better than one." He sets himself up in a little hovel. Taking whatever natural plants and roots he can find to use for cover, he lays flat on his stomach under the wagon to watch the road.

At every session, I say, "Everyone's here, except Waluigi."
Varis continues leaning back in the front seat "Great, it seems you guys have this covered. There's only so many hours in the night. Deals? Dales? Whichever.. he seems to have this under control. Wake me in the morning." And with that Varis goes to sleep

Shaukuu crawls under the wagon and comfortably tucks his limbs under himself. His head swivels around, back and around again while looking about the surrounding area.
Eyrin plays a jaunty tune on her flute before going to rest. "Well, It seems the two of you have this covered. I'll be taking the next shift then. Just wake me up when it's time," she says as she stifles a yawn.

(Shaukuu and Dales both get a bardic inspiration die. I should've done this before you guys made your checks.)
Geerbril climbs down from the wagon and stretches his aching muscles. Sitting for so long takes a toll at his age, but he is glad for the time he had to read. He hefts his pack onto the ground and retrieves a few things from inside. First of all, he retrieves a tent made from a fine black cloth with a silvery thread which seems to be made for Svirfbevlin as it is large enough only for the deep gnome to stand in. Second, and most likely much to the surprise of his companions, Geerbril removes a rocking chair from his pack. It is a wooden rocker seemingly carved from a dark wood. He places it to the side of his tent, takes a seat and puffs on his pipe for a half hour before replacing the chair in his bag and climbing into his tent. "See you for my shift, wake me if there is trouble."
Cormac unrolls his bedroll and uses his pack as a pillow. He pulls out an iron pot and places it over the campfire and starts cooking a stew for everyone from the rations supplied by Rockseeker
I hope nobody dislikes rustic stew? It’s that or get peckish overnight
As you all slip in to your nights rest Shaukuu you accidentally fall asleep about half way through but luckily wake up before anyone notices and your watch is quiet. Who’s taking second watch roll a perception check.

Shaukuu asks:
"Anyone know about Phandalin? Is it a place to be leery of? Should we be at our best upon arrival?"

"Ive heard it both ways."
"We won't be if we press on, but I defer to the group. A nice homecoming for you then?"
"Lets stop and rest here. We have no reason to press too hard, and we will not get paid if we run these Oxen to the ground."
"Fair point, and fine oxen."
Breaking off of the road to camp for the night and set out in the morning is anyone keeping watch?

"Ill take the last shift as Im typically awake by then anyways."
