Navi would take a deep breath of fresh air, stretching herself out before taking a bit of a run towards the stream. "Coast's clear!" She'd splash around in the water for a bit before sitting down in a shallow part of the stream, allowing it to wash away the dirt, guano and smell. One by one she'd take out her tools and equipment to give them a wipe down. Navi would even lay down on her back for a moment to rinse her hair. "I hate teh admit it, but even if we still stink, it could work in our favour. It might mask our smell to teh creatures."
"I'd rather be attacked by every creature in the world than deal with smelling like this." Georges said, floating in the water and playing various tunes on a flute. "I dare go so far as to say we smelt worse than the cursed ship that brought us here." He smiled a bit and closed his eyes as he focused on the light breeze around them. "Glad we found this stream, though. I think we needed a refresher."
Bren shrugs. ”You know, it’s really not that bad. I’ve smelled far worse before. That being said, the stench is just as likely to attract other beasts as it is repulse them. It would probably be best to wash up.” He joins Georges for a few moments, washing off most of the guano and some of the aggressive stench before sitting on a rock to the side of the stream to dry.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
((Shoot! we for all day left, that didn't take as long as I imagined))
Corum jumps up and says, While I enjoy playing in the water and relaxing a bit, what do you y'all say about getting back on the trail. Also how long do you guys want to be out of the city a day? two? go back when we have more information? We already have somethings the new locals can study. Granted its 2 heads and an exoskeleton as hard as steel, that I hope they can make some nice armor for warrior friend here, when we get it down. Plus a hole in the ground filled with good fertilizer I think they can put to use almost instantly. Corum trails off as a thought pops in his head... Guys, did anyone check to see if there were anymore invisible bugs around?
"Corum, that is not that bad of an idea, we can show the villagers that venture out what to possibly look for so hopefully they don't die from these insects anymore. Also now that I think about it, I wonder if we can figure out a way to report back to the town with information, so we don't have to waste time running back and forth. What do you all think?" Ulrich asks the group.
Navi would let out a hearty laugh, “I’m with Corum on this one. That sounds like magic. I ain’t magically inclined.” She’d wiggle her fingers. “Best I could do fer ye’ would be a paper plane.” She’d gesture as if launching a plane with her arm. “We should pick up that exoskeleton, return back with some updates, get us additionally prepared fer another excursion. Hook you fellas up with some climbing gear. Med kits might be a good idea too.”
Though it takes some time, you are able to hack the exoskeleton loose from the tree, and fashion a pole to carry your trophies back to Hested, about 2 hours after mid-day. The walls are still being watched by a new pair of guards from the nearby building.
The town itself seems to be still in full swing, as rough hewn logs are being loaded onto the ships for the return journey.
Returning to Vizzini's, you find the Gnome still scratching on his pad, with an unfriendly grimace. Without even looking up, "Hmmm.. That didn't take long. Get lost?"
Navi would slap the exoskeleton on his desk then gesture for the boys to drop the skulls next to it, “Shit’s getting heavy.” She’d look to gnome, “Figured you’d like an update.”
((My bad, I was just wondering how many days we were planning on staying out there))
Corum walks up to the desk and drops the skull on it. I believe we came across a skeleton belonging to the former inhabitants of this island. Could only bring back the skull of it since it was down a deep hole in the group sitting in (How deep was the guano?) of guano, which we would recommend this settlement use to make farm lands more fertile.
He looks back at the group Who has the other the bug head?
Ulrich happily unties the head from his back and drops it on the desk, "I hope we are not bothering you but we are pretty sure this is the creature that has killed the other villagers. When they are sitting high up in a tree they are almost invisible," then pointing to the carcass, "and from the looks of its shell and the blades it has for hands, they can be pretty nasty." A hint of sarcasm in his voice, "We assumed you would want to know of the dangers immediately so future villagers would not fall prey to the beasts."
Vizzini looks with disgust at the remains, "Guano, you say? Fertilizer? Yes, yes, I suppose we can export that. You marked it will on the map?" he asks, unconcerned with villagers or previous inhabitants. "Altaira, Altaira," he calls but receives no answer. "Blasted girl must be out and about. Never around when I need her. Shall we say 20 gp on account for the guano? The other stuff, I suppose you had better take it to the Captain of the Guard... This time of day, you should find him in his office. Two doors down from the Commissary."
"Vizzini," Ulrich will approach him, "I have a question. Do you know of someone that could help with a magical question I have. I am curious if you have a way or knowledge of a way to communicate over long distances. This way if we do discover something we do not have to turn around and come back and let you know, but we can relay the information to you and then we can all decide to come back and provide further information or bring back whatever we found. This way it might speed up our time frame on our discoveries to help safeguard the town?"
[OOC: something along the lines of Sending Stones or I forget where I have the memory of another item, but it is a pair of books, write in one and it shows up in the other book no matter where it is (probably not across planes). Can't remember if it was from a book/movie/tv show but the memory is there. With the book prospect Navi could make her maps in the pages to send back and then a cartographer back in the town could add the details we provide to a larger map and we could inform the town of anything else that is going on. DM - your thoughts? With that said, I am more than happy to travel back and forth as it would lead to more adventure which is part of the fun.]
"And some pitons." Navi would interject her request when he'd offer 20g to account for the guano, then smile a broad smile.
Once he finishes, she'd pick up all the parts, even if that meant half wearing them. She'd nod to Ulrich, "You solve that, I'll haul this." and she'd head out the door to bring the skeletons and the exoskeleton to the Captain of the Guard, as per Vizzins's directions.

Corum shrugs his shoulders, That sounds like magic talk. I don't have any idea about that stuff
