"I understand. Well, 'Kingpin' at least sounds like he is some sort of criminal rival," says Edeleth, feeling more confident. When they make it back to the Hanging Chicken, Roscoe climbs up to the bar and takes a goblet of ale. He sips it like some would sip a coffee.
Gavin, of course, is at the Tavern, behind the bar wiping some dishes off and handing them to unseen servants. The Hanging Chicken is quite empty right now, as everyone else is out in the streets celebrating...the bags under his eyes indicate he's been up all night...
Edeleth greets Gavin, and noticing how tired he looks, asks how he is feeling. "You work too hard,"he says. "You really ought to find a way to tale some time off." All the same, he is very grateful to find the dwarf here, and alone.

As Team 1 and 2 make their final preparations, along with the Army, Hungar Shatterstone and Seleth Byllian beckon them to meet face to face.
Captain Shatterstone addresses them first. He stares at them with a slight bit of disbelief...
"So, these are the famous Knights of the Hanging Chicken, ey? Look, I dunno who the Jarl thinks you are, but whatever ya' do, stay out me way...I've led these brave soldiers to Hell and back, from the Canyon of Izril to the Floating Isles of the Primordial Forest. Don't make us regret taking ya'..."
And he rides back to his troups on his Battle Ram. As he gets to his men, he scowls one of them in the distance, a scruffy blond Mountain Dwarf. "Damn ya' Rollo, I told ya' to get new boots, ya' bum! Come on now, Lads. TO PINEKEEP WE RIDE!"
Seleth Belian approaches them next...the High Elf Commander and his Half-Orc Lieutenant actually dismount their Giant Eagles, and greet the PCs much more respectfully.
"We apologize for Captain Shatterstone, but he has been a bit on edge, lately. We welcome your alliance, and partnership. We know what all of you have been through. Your findings confirm everything agent Zathkataliendim Felaminathien had been uncovering...the FeyWild, the Shadowveil, the Abyss and the Nine Hells are slowly opening more and more portals and junctions on the Material Plane...it is troubling news. The wizard Thanicles probably knows a LOT more about this than we all do, but unfortunately he was arrested by an interplanar law enforcement agency recently...also troubling news....Anyway, should any of you decidde to ride with us, we would be honored to teach any of you the Way of the Eagle Riders."
OOC :At this point, Team1 and Team2 should probably split up once again, for playability purposes. Each Team should decide/vote between different possible objectives to accomplish throughout this small military campaign to reclaim Pinekeep and its surroundings. Here are a few suggestions, but feel free to come up with your own if you dont like any of these. As Bob Ross once said, this is your World, you can do anything....
1) Stick with the Dwarves
2) Ride with the Air Force and Eagles
3) Set out on your own ahead of the Dwarves "Commando style" to scout out Ennemy activity.
4) Pursue an Alliance with an Organization and attempt to gather more troups (such as the Arcane University, the Alliance or the Family), or a Neighboring Foreign Nation (such as the Human Kingdom of Mastandia, the Westwood Elvish Courts, the Southern Halfling Republic
5) Something completely different...
Peshley looked around for the rest of her group and gathered them together. "So what do we do? I like the numbers of the army, but I think we might get lost in there. Seleth Byllian, from the Eagle Riders, said they had spotted gnolls on the road leading to Pinekeep causing some problems. I think we should ride ahead and help clear the way for the army. We will move faster than they can, and if anything turns out to bigger than we can deal with, we retreat and wait for them to arrive. At least we will have information they can use."
"I think we should scout ahead, possibly with one of the eagle riders joining us from above. Otherwise it is as you say, Peshley. We can handle small bands of gnolls, and if we stumble into something larger, we have the army not far behind us."
(OOC: Did you guys re-open the wrong thread? Or just decided to hang out with Team 2 for a while longer? ^^ )
Edeleth will be very much more than happy to keep out of Captain Shatterstone's way.
The invitation to fly on an eagle is surprisingly appealing. Of course, that leaves the question of what to do with the mule wagon he has just spent his entire fortune on. And it might interfere with Rosri's mission. Rosri is the one with more details on that, though. As usual, Edeleth somehow missed asking important questions about where exactly they were headed.
He thanks Commander Belian for the offer, and promises to inform the commander on any decision their team comes to once they've conferred.
He also takes a close look at the dwarf Rollo, and his boots. Could a Mending spell help get his footwear in shape? A sympathetic ally in the dwarf camp wouldn't hurt, and it's possible that Rollo might be feeling a bit disgruntled after being singled out like that.

But until then, it's gonna be three days of grueling trekking across the Mountains and flying in icy winds, on constant lookout for Gnolls, Kobolts and Dragonborn warriors, Black Red and Green. But hey, at least we'll have each other, right me'Lord?"
Gorlahk chuckles, and nudges Edeleth in the ribs, in a friendly, playful way, still putting on his helmet and shutting the visor, as he steps back towards his Eagle. "Welcome to the War, Brother! Blindly following orders, and hope you live to fight another day. That's what it's all about!"
