Brother Keefe looks upon your findings studiously, paying little mind to the throne but poring through the books and notes in the laboratory and eyeing the murals and glyphs intently, muttering "Worrisome...these books deal with necromantic magic. And these dragon murals...is someone trying to create a dracolich?" at one point.
When he has seen enough, he follows you back to the crypt, where Sylyra waits impatiently.
"Your reputation is well earned, I see. I believe you have earned the whole truth. You see, tending to the Valhingen Graveyard is not my only responsibility in Phlan," he reveals.
"I am a member of the Lord's Alliance. We have a vested interest in maintaining stability in Phlan, so long as it does not come at the cost of lawlessness. The rumors about Xandria Welltran's draconic nature came from a source within the alliance, who also discovered that the Welcomers, Phlan's guild of thieves, have been investigating a number of dragon-themed leads in the last month. Be wary...if they are involved in this as well, you may find work easy to come by in the future," he says.
He motions to the crypt door. "If you will lead the way, I will take care of your payment."
Zelra lets out a sigh of relief at the mention of payment before following the group and Brother Keefe out of the crypt. As they're making their way out, Zelra asks Brother Keefe a question. "We've been doing a lot of dragon related jobs lately, now that you've mentioned it. Do you know what the Welcomers are doing exactly? They some sort of dragon worshippers or something?"
"What do we do about the jewels?" Sylyra interrupts. He motions toward the walls of the crypt where the jewels are still inserted in their respective cavities.
"You are welcome to try to pry the gems free, but they seem to be perfectly flush with the wall. Perhaps this was meant to be a one-time lock?" Brother Keefe answers.
The sun is still high above the Valhingen Graveyard, flooding the crypt with light when the door opens. When Zelra mentions previous jobs related to dragons, he responds while escorting you across the grounds. "I don't know why the sudden interest from the Welcomers. It could simply be a power grab, but it warrants investigation nonetheless. They hold much sway within Phlan as it is."
Before long, he has gathered your payment and handed the agreed amount to you. "Thank you for your assistance today. If the mission of the Lord's Alliance holds the interest of any of you, you need but come see me. Our reach is limited in Phlan, and we could use sound adventurers like yourselves to be our eyes and ears," he says.
OOC: Split evenly, the 100 gp payment comes out to 14 gp each, leaving 2 gp left over. 14 gp has been added to each character's inventory.
"I would be honoured to join you," suddenly declared Ola. "and can accompany you now should you have time to talk, or come later if that would be more convenient."
Zelra will, of course, ask for the remaining two gold if no one else wants it. As she's counting her coins, she asks curiously, "What exactly is the mission of the Lord's Alliance?"
"Noble houses fighting evil which threatens citizens of Faerûn," interfered Ola again, and turned to Brother Keefe: "Yes, I have heard about your noble quest and wanted to join the battle for some time now."
Uragum sees Sylyra doing this and starts to usher those not in the tomb towards the door. All while he takes a deep breath of clean air expecting the worse and having to jam the jewels back to their slots.
Brother Keefe nods in response to Ola's answer. "Indeed. It is as the name states; an alliance of lords and ladies with the purpose of keeping peace and stability. Come see me here on the morrow, lady Ola. I will have the necessary paperwork for you. We would be honored to have you share in our mission."
The gemstones prove a futile cause for Sylyra. It is as Brother Keefe says; they have become fully flush with the wall, to the point that even a dagger's blade can find no leverage to pry.
OOC: Mission wrap-up and downtime incoming! Is there anything else to do or say with Brother Keefe?
"Well, you do have to keep things organized," this particular subject - her future Alliance - Ola was obviously going to defend to the last. "I will see you tomorrow, Brother Keefe." She bowed ceremoniously and, keeping proud posture, exited the cemetery.
With grateful handshakes from Brother Keefe, you part ways, leaving the gates of the Valhingen Graveyard behind you. Before long, the familiar doors of Madame Freona's Tea Kettle beckon you to return to your rooms, were surely more adventure awaits - but now is a time to wind down and relax. The dead at Highsun have been laid to rest.
OOC: Each character has received 25 XP for solving the puzzle of gemstones without any assistance. For clearing out Xandria Welltran's crypt, Zelra has received 42 XP and each other character has received 1 XP, bringing us all to the mission's XP cap.
There is a workweek of downtime before the next part of this adventure begins. What would everyone like to do with their downtime?
After receiving the payment, Uragum was excited about the spell scroll most. "About the scroll. If I could have that I can add it to my spell book and then we will forever have access to it." He'll then take 25 gold from his sack and set it upon the table by them. "This for compensation for it."
If accepting, Uragum will keep the scroll. During the following week he would again engage in his pit fighting activities to gain money and if enough time would buy 50 gp worth of inks for inscribing him spell which takes only 2 hours for a 1st level.

Next morning, at dawn, before visiting Brother Keefe (and begin the paper work), Ola went to the sea. She did it often anyway, but that day calling was stronger than usual and the meeting with the ever wonder proved to be the true blessing. She returned to the town stronger and more confident.
After the visit, if her new Alliance did not have a particular tasks for her right now, she returned to her routine (healing work) but was ready to answer request of Lord's Alliance should it has need of her.
Sylyra seeks the Harper, the moon elf named Olisara Lightsong, at The Laughing Goblin to talk about the goings on and learn more about the Harpers. If she is not there, he will spend up to two days trying to find her. He will also ask her if there's anything he can do for her.
At some point, Sylyra also has a conversation with Grelinda of the short, coppery green hair to ask why she is dissatisfied with her work.
Some evening when at least Arnold, Zelra and Sylyra are in the common room of the Tea Kettle, Sylyra will retrieve his bottle of fine wine and share it to lighten spirits.
Since he didn't have the time to search the area for a den of wolves last down time, he'll attempt to do so again. If need be, he'll use animal friendship to avoid any confrontation. His intent is to watch, not engage. He can now speak with animals at will, so he can "ask around" to gain information from other animals to find the den. If there are enough days, he will go back the day after he finds them to check on them, but, again, to not confront or be involved in their daily lives. He wants to watch and learn.

Sylyra sighs before leaning against the door jamb to wait.

Ola bowed her head and, assuming the door to the crypt could be opened, went outside with the others with full intention to return back to the Tavern.

Sylyra does, indeed, attempt to extract one of the gems with his dagger. If one comes, he goes for the rest.

"Oh yep, definitely not for me but paperwork does suit you, Ola." Zelra chuckles to herself and puts her coin away.
(OOC: Nope, nothing more to say.)
