This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mr. Greenleaf - Without breaking eye contact with the Wood Elf, Flyn will put up his pointer finger in a wait motion (on the hand not holding the food) to the new person who just approached.
A short rest is a period of downtime, at least 1 hour long, during which a character does nothing more strenuous than eating, drinking, reading, and tending to wounds.
A character can spend one or more Hit Dice at the end of a short rest, up to the character's maximum number of Hit Dice, which is equal to the character's level. For each Hit Die spent in this way, the player rolls the die and adds the character's Constitution modifier to it. The character regains hit points equal to the total. The player can decide to spend an additional Hit Die after each roll. A character regains some spent Hit Dice upon finishing a long rest, as explained below.
Skorn looks over at the newcomer. Hail, friend. We were chased in here by wolves...what brought you here? He then notices the halfling over by the barrels: Greenleaf! Everything alright over there?

Back and ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
OOC: Gave each of you guys a short rest on your character sheet, if you want to use a hit die for any reason please do so now. Do not click the recover max hp unless you have been given a spell for that.
OOC: Ok...quick recap time because I am rather confused where is everyone at proximity wise to each other? I am more confused as to how any of us saw the newcomer come in the door when all of us were the room on the right watching Greenleaf deal with the wood elf. Are we not role playing the short rest?
OOC: I'm standing by the barrels looking behind them, I believe.
Mr. Greenleaf - In a low almost barbaric voice speaking the the Wood Elf "Do... you... understand... me? We no hurt you." hearing Skorn's question he will look over to him "There's some Elf here crying about something... he won't even eat the food I'm trying to give him."
The wood elf says " Um, well I was was searching the woods for a missing Vistani girl named Arabelle when a wandering mob of needle blights accosted me. I was forced to take refuge in the mansion"

(Skorn's been pacing around during the short rest, that's how he noticed both the newcomer and Greenleaf at the barrels.)
An elf, eh? Get out here, lad. We will not harm you.
Back and ready to DM and chew bubblegum. And I'm alllll outta bubblegum.
An small wood elf appears out in the foyer, trembling and hurt.
Skorn holsters his hammer he'd been carrying and approaches slowly. What happened to you, lad? Who are you?
