Backing up against a wall, Victor will ask the voice a question, "We possibly have food to share so why don't you come into the light so we can discuss the possibility of trade." With that he will pull out the stone with the light spell on it and hold it aloft.
((So sorry, guys, for the delay. I somehow missed the recent posts.))
As you all speak, the voice whispers more gibberish, but then you clearly hear: "Food for secretsss," it hisses. When Victor pulls out the stone with the light spell, you hear a condescending chuckle. "Food firssstt," it snarls.
"Meat," the voice rasps. "Hungry," it whines. "Plenty of food here - bring," it hisses. "Tell secretsss," it says, then you hear a hideous cackle. It continues talking, but it is gibberish.
"All it wants is meat. Not our souls, not living sacrifices, not anything particularly difficult. Since we don't know what this being is capable of, I would suggest finding some meat for it. An hour or two spent finding meat is paltry compared to one of us being injured in a fight we don't have to start."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

As Torwen and Amorilan climb up out of the crevasse behind Victor and Kierro, you again hear the disembodied voice cackling and speaking gibberish in your heads.
Looking around, you see a narrow hallway leading east, and a ledge around the crevasse leading north.
"Did you all hear that?"
As Amorilan speaks, you all hear the voice again. "Food?" it asks, almost plaintively. "Trade?" it hisses, then cackles again.
"Uh... if it's food you want, then I could easily provide food."
"Trade food for what?" Kierro asks the voice.

"We don't even know what you are, or what you eat... Tell us... what would you have us provide?"
Shaking a little bit Victor whispers to the group, "I do not like this, whatever this thing is, it is just toying with us."
"Meat," the voice rasps. "Hungry," it whines. "Plenty of food here - bring," it hisses. "Tell secretsss," it says, then you hear a hideous cackle. It continues talking, but it is gibberish.
Kierro looks into his pack - he has dried meat in his rations, but not fresh meat. He keeps it in his bag for now, feeling himself breathing faster.
"Bring it where? Where are you?"
Aruzhal - Lv 1 Tempest Cleric - Planescape: Lost
"Leave at bridge," the voice hisses. "Fresh meat - you'll find," it says, cackling gleefully.
"Looks like we have two choices... ignore whatever this is, and proceed, or I can go hunt some game meat, and return. What say you all?"
Kierro deliberates for a second.
"All it wants is meat. Not our souls, not living sacrifices, not anything particularly difficult. Since we don't know what this being is capable of, I would suggest finding some meat for it. (Where's Torwen?)

"Yesssss," the voice hisses in your minds. "Bring meat," it says, then suddenly bursts into a horrible cackle.
Kierro climbs back out of the crevasse. "Let's hurry and find something for it."

"Works for me, that things gives me the creeps!" Victor whispers to the group.
Victor and Kierro scramble up out of the crevasse, with Torwen and Amorilan behind.
