"What sort of things?"

"Well," she begins. "There's his clothes—they won't fit you and no use to me—and there's his sword, that might fetch a few Engles. It is all in a big chest in my room... and while I would like to keep some things as keepsakes, I could also make use of the extra space in the chest."

"Maybe we could have a stall at the markets for the clothes. I could talk to the blacksmith who came here whose name I have temporarily forgotten about selling the sword."

"I know a woman who has a used clothes stall in the markets in the Mercantile District," says Naomi. "I am sure she will sell them for us, so you can leave that to me."

Then she adds, "That smith said he was a specialist bronze smith... Tedric? Was that his name? Anyway, he may not be interested as I think your father's sword is not made of bronze. Still he might know someone who would buy it, so there is no harm in asking him about it."

"I can check with Master Narim as well. He'll a few people around town. I might go and check what else is in there and check whether there are any magickal or odd items as well."

Open up the chest, do a See the arcane. and start pulling out items one by one.

Granny Naomi leads Guilliame into her room and shows him a stiffened, leather chest (i.e., basically, it's a large suitcase). Guilliame then takes the chest with his father's belongings into the kitchen and places it on the table with the lid open.

With See the Arcane active, Guilliame begins to pull the items out of the chest and laying them on the table.

1. A number of items of clothing
2. A standard military-grade scimitar in a scabbard.
3. A sturdy hunting knife
4. A small hand-written book
5. A silver flask
6. A signal whistle
7. A tinderbox
8. A whetstone
9. A small metal canister
10. A small leather pouch

As he does this, he does not see anything that glows magically.

Give the silver flask a gentle shake to see whether there is anything inside and if so whether it feels like a liquid or solid.

Do the same with the leather pouch and the metal canister.

The silver flask doesn't feel like it has anything in it. The metal canister feels slightly greasy to the touch and smells slightly of beeswax. The pouch has things in it: small objects vaguely spherical from the feel of them. The pouch is not very heavy.

Open the pouch, look inside and do a See the arcane.

Opening the pouch, Guilliame looks inside to see five, six-sided dice of slightly differing sizes. The dice appear to have been carved from ivory or bone and are yellow with age, the largest of them has a faint glimmer of magic attached to it.

[Guilliame can tell that a spell similar to his own Prestidigitation spell has somehow been embedded into the die and that the spell likely also belongs to the Transmutation school of magick. However, he can only guess at what it is supposed to do, but an Identification ritual should be able to tell him that.]

Pop the dice away. Open up the metal canister, making sure it is vertical when it's opened.

The lid is hard to take off, but when removed Guilliame sees that the canister contains a lump of cracked and discoloured beeswax.

Guilliame now actually remembers seeing his father with this tin before; he used its contents to treat leather to keep it soft and supple. 

Refasten the lid as tightly as possible.

Pull the magick dice out again. Hold it in hand for a minute and concentrate. See if there is any sense of connection. Then try to roll a 1.

Pop the dice back.

Open the book and read the first page.

Putting the die back into the pouch, Guilliame opens the book to see his father's handwriting. The book contains handwritten notes about suppliers, locations and the product gathered that Guilliame remembers from when he went travelling with his father when he was younger.
