Amris (I 56) Surprised, Gunnar (I 34), Ferdinand (I 32) Surprised, Brawling Horde (I 30, W 12), Elise (I 29) Surprised
Like a true Dwarf and wanting to be right in the action, that's exactly where Gunnar is. The Brawling Horde attacks Gunnar back! These entertainers are angry, swinging at anyone in their path! They try and punch at Gunnar using their Weapon Skill of 30: 62
62 vs 30 is a fail, it's a -3 SL, but lets see Gunnar's defense! Gunnar go ahead and roll to oppose. You can roll Dodge, or WS to oppose.
Amris (I 56) Surprised, Gunnar (I 34), Ferdinand (I 32) Surprised, Brawling Horde (I 30, W 12), Elise (I 29) Surprised
OOH! A 12 vs 45 that's +3 SL! Gunnar easily avoids the blows from the Brawling Horde, who got a -3 SL. Gunnar wins the Opposed Test with a total of +6 SL! (The difference between individual SLs). An amazing defense! Gunnar you get 1 advantage point to spend.
ADVANTAGE
Whenever you win an Opposed Test you accrue a currency called Advantage. Each advantage point you spend gives you +10 EACH on a combat roll. If you take a Wound or lose an Opposed roll, you lose all of your advantage.
ROUND TWO!
Amris (I 56), Gunnar (I 34), Ferdinand (I 32),Brawling Horde (I 30, W 12), Elise (I 29)
A nearby merchant's cart full of pies is utterly smashed and its contents spill acorss the street where you all are fighting, turning a portion of the Marketplatz into a slick sea. Pie smeared cobblestone is considered Difficult Terrain, caused a -10 penalty to all relevant Tests for a while. However, a few of the brightly colored Cavalcade acrobats have no trouble flipping about the muck and punching folk as they tumble by! Bruised soldiers in red and blue are screaming impotently for order as Cavalcade entertainers lash out in fury, Jungfreud supporters with blue and silver armbands throw punches left and right. It's a chaotic mess!
Positioning himself besides Grunnar, Ferdinand felt like he could pair up with the dwarf in order to have his friend landing the opponent on his lower parts while he himself would go for the nose and jaw.
"hahaha you were mean to poor Amris, dear Gunnar. I don't think the elf is used to the taste interferences of insects in his ale. He must like that nice wine the elves make far better than a fly infested ale. That reminds me of asking him if could buy us some of that wine. That is a wonderful wine indeed." - quickly glancing around before placing himself by his friend's side, Ferdinand makes sure Salundra is in line of sight. - "Protect our backs, Salundra. We will watch for you."

Amris was just about to answer Ferdinand's questions, having been completely oblivious to the hoard until Gunnar started throwing punches (despite his height he was oblivious to most things). "Oh, good heavens!" He exclaims as he attempted to get out of the way.

The Brawling Horde defends! 82 vs 30 - That's a -5 SL! Terrible! Gunnar has a Strength (S) of 38 so his Strength Bonus is the tens digit which is 3. That's how much damage he does with his fists. We add the SL of the Test, which was a difference of 5, so we add that to the damage, for a total of 8, minus the Brawling Horde's toughness bonus of 3! The Brawling Horde suffers 5 Wounds! Since you passed another Dramatic Test, you're at 2 Advantage now.
