"We were on more of a clear them out mission, not a cargo mission." Misty says with a chuckle. "So, no, we did not bring a wagon or horses." She sighs as she looks at all of the gear that will have to be left here unguarded.
A bit later she walks up to finnian....
"Hey Fin." She says, tugging him off to a more quiet area to talk privately. "You know all of those spells you have been talking with me about, and showing me... well, I think I have a few of them finally figured out..." She gestures with a hand, casting minor illusion She causes an image of a bush to appear in the cave near them. "See!" She says then with a grin for finnian. Leaning in she gives him a fierce kiss on the lips, then pulls back, her own face going a bit red as she realizes what she just did. "Sorry about that..." She says, but cannot help but grin again. "Can you help me with this book I found, writing down some of those spells we've been talking about?" She holds up the blank book she found in the supplies.
Before I forget - did we recover any of the Goblins rations? If we have I'd like 5, asks Edmond of the group
(OOC: no, just their weapons, armor, and money. no sign of any food in the cave. [unless you want to try eating a goblin or wolf corpse.])
Sildar: (to Edmond) "Thank you kind sir. Its plenty for now." Sildar turns to Misty. "I'm fine with walking. If you all are intending to bring back the things back to the city we may wish to return with a wagon or some else to carry it all with. Clearing out the cave of goblins is noble. Perhaps once we get back i could probably find you more work or at the very least point you in the direction of danger that would benefit Emberhorn if said danger is removed." Sildar turns to Gerrack "No its alright. A nights rest and i should be better, for now i would appreciate some protection as we head back." Sildar: (to the party) "If the Fated Eight are ready perhaps we can get started."

GERRACK is scouting
When the party is ready to leave, Gerrack will inform the others that he will be scouting ahead. He will take to the air and scout from overhead at the front of the party, just as he did when they were traveling to the cave the first time.
DM:
I did a quick search of rules for carrying things and flying, since Gerrack is now carrying 2 breastplates. He's not overencumbered, so according to Crawford's Sage Advice his flight should not be affected. If you want to homebrew that he can't carry medium armors and still fly, I'm fine with that, Gerrack will still be scouting ahead of the party, just on foot instead, and he will be stealthed (14) if he is on foot. (He won't bother stealthing in mid-air in daylight.)
How about those perception rolls for scouting, eh: 20
“I think we are going to need a wagon or a sled to be able to haul this stuff back. We could hide it and let them know where it is. They can retrieve it with proper equipment. Their horses can drag much more than I.”
“I think taking what we want and determining owners or selling it later is a good deal.” says Gimble. He looks to Misty, and says, “That illusion should fool anybody that may venture in here before we or the owners return for items. And I can carry a bit more if someone needs me to carry a few items for them.”
Gniff looks at the wolf with care, "You strong. Thank you for help. Go, hunt, live." He bows a little to the wolf as he steps aside and says loudly to the group, " Careful everyone the wolf is headed out. Don't all of a sudden attack it."
As the group goes about looting and pilfering pretty much anything that is not bolted down, Gniff will take the time to help Sildar to the entrance and get him anything he may need. He does not grab anything from the crates or boxes and seems content to wait for the group. He does seem to look to the forest a lot to see how the general feel of the woodland is.
Finnian is somewhat distracted following the end of the fight with the goblins, deep in thought as he absentmindedly follows the party along. With the danger passed, his mind wanders, as it so often does, to his studies. He'd thought that he was spent, but on reflection finds a small reserve of magical power still waiting to be used. A second wind of some kind? He'll have to pay close attention to this new development. Maybe the barely literate sailor is finally getting the hang of magic. The thought makes him smile.
He does come to his senses long enough to retrieve a sturdy chain shirt from the loot. For a moment he examines one of the tridents, but after a few practice thrusts he leaves it behind. The trident seems awkward to him, not like a good, sturdy harpoon... maybe he'll buy one further down the line.
He gives Misty a smile and a nod on her approach, which quickly becomes a look of wonder and a large smile when she displays her newfound magical prowess. "Haha! I knew ye could do it, I knew it! I-!" The kiss catches him completely off guard, and his own face heats up a bit as she apologizes. "Ah, well, if there's n-no harm, there's no foul, aye?" He clears his suddenly dry throat. "Right! O' course I can help ye set up yer spellbook. As ye've no doubt heard me say many times, 'a spellbook is an armory,' and it'll need to be well-supplied. Er- that is, I got a few spells in this old book of mine that might suit ye. If ye'd. If ye'd like."
(Sorry for the silence these past few days, lots of things came up at once! I should be good now, though)
As they head back towards town Misty walks near Finnian, talking to him about the spells. She has come up with a few ideas of her own, going on what he had been showing her previously, and is quick to suggest ideas and potentials for them. (All of her spells wouldn't necessarily be the same as what Finnian has after all...)
Edmond will carry 1 splint mail, and 1 extra Long Sword and Shield. He will be 3rd in line.
If we are all set? Can we go 6 hours before supper instead of 4? This way we can put a little distance between ourselves and the cave.
(OOC: @ everyone, its still pretty early in the day, the party can still travel for quite a while. The party should travel for another two hours (to stop for lunch/mid meal of the day) and then can continue another 8 hours (to stop for dinner/third meal of the day) if the party wanted to push themselves to get back faster they could go another 2 hours without consequences (without doing rolls or messing with the ability to long rest.)
Gniff looks at the wolf with care, "You strong. Thank you for help. Go, hunt, live." He bows a little to the wolf as he steps aside and says loudly to the group, " Careful everyone the wolf is headed out. Don't all of a sudden attack it."

He does not grab anything from the crates or boxes and seems content to wait for the group. He does seem to look to the forest a lot to see how the general feel of the woodland is.
the Wolf gives one last look at the party then runs out of the cave. (OOC: the Wolf has left the party and is no longer allied with it. [DM's comment: its not hostile, it just isn't friendly with it neither.])
(OOC: Marching Order: Gerrack scouting ahead, Tandon is leading the party, Edmond is next, Sildar is following Edmond, Gniff walking next to Sildar, Misty Finnian, and Gimble are next, and Hati is in the back.)
@ everyone, the party travels for 2 hours all is peaceful, Gerrack doesn't see anything out of the ordinary or that would indicate danger. Sildar decides to chat while the party travels. Sildar: (to the party) "So where is everyone from? Anyone native to the Emberhorn Kingdom, or at the least from the North East Region. I am from the Emberhorn Kingdom."
(OOC: @ everyone, Presumably the party will stop after 2 hours of travel to make camp and have lunch. [let me know if you do or don't])
(OOC: @ Gniff, feel free to introduce your animal friend to the game whenever you feel comfortable doing so.)

GERRACK is addressing the party
"S-should we take a r-rest for lunch?" Gerrack asks the others. He looks at Sildar in particular. "Do you f-feel winded? You were t-t-trapped in that c-cave for s-some time, it s-seemed."
Hearing Sildar question everyone's origins, Gerrack becomes quiet and withdrawn. "I hail from the G-G-Grey Lands," he mumbles, eyes downcast. "Though I c-call E-Emberhorn my h-home, now."
(( If everyone does stop for a lunch break, Gerrack will take the opportunity to try to hunt for something to eat: Survival: 24 ))
Misty is pretty deep in conversation with Finnian, and doesn't hear Sildar's question or comment. She continues to talk to Finnian about the spells she has figured out and shows him a few more things, such as Ray of Frost.
Misty would want to stop for lunch, since she would want Finnian to help her get some work done on her new spellbook then.
Pretty much Misty has found a new toy and is badgering Finnian to help her with it all morning.

@ Gerrack, Gerrack successfully hunts and kills 2 ducks, the rest of the flock flies off. (OOC: I'll want an additional survival roll for skinning and preparing. a third roll for cooking [unless you have someone else cooks.] for cooking just roll a d20, unless you are trained/proficient you can add your proficiency to your d20. Doesn't appear that Misty will help carry anything back. With the half-plate she is barely under her carrying capacity now...
