Gimble pipes in. Sildar meet Greg. Greg, Sildar. We found him in the goblin cave, didn’t look in a good way either. But we were able to secure him before they did anything more to him. He was attacked on the road.” Looking to Sildar, Gimble says, “We were just discussing what our needs were and Greg here is waiting to hear from his missing boss, Gundren Rockseeker. He was discussing with us the possibility of protection as he moves on from this city. You can set the bag down, we can divide it up, thanks. What are your plans for the day?”
(OOC I forgot how much payment was lol what’s that break down to?)
To those with the armor... "Just wait until we are done with Sildar here, then I'll walk with you to the shop and we can take care of it." Misty says. "The plan was to wait here for Sildar, talk to Greg, then go and sell the armor..." She nods to Sildar. "We have Sildar here now, and we have talked to Greg, so we'll be off to take care of the gear shortly."
She then turns back to Sildar. "Do you know anything about Greg's missing boss?"
Gniff waves and greets everyone as he enters and Sildar as well. He listens to the discussion, "Wait, Sildar didn't you mention that you were looking for your boss and I think his name was a lot similar to Rockseeker wasn't it?
"Also everyone, we can probably earn some recognition and coins from the head of the city watch for those goblins. Some really nice guys gave me all the information."
@ Gniff, (OOC: also @ everyone, because important dialogue) Sildar: (to the party[directed to Gniff]) "Thats right, Gundren Rockseeker is the dwarf that hired me to escort him." Greg perks up at hearing the name. Greg: (to Sildar) "You work for Gundren too?! He hired me to bring a wagon of supplies. He was suppose to meet me here." Sildar turns to Greg. Sildar: (to Greg) "He was very tight lipped about the whole of the job so i do not know what his intentions were. Sadly we were ambushed by goblins and they took us. These adventurers saved me and said that Rockseeker was no were to be found in the cave." Greg: (to Sildar)"So the goblins do have him... well i can't in good conscious go on without him." Greg turns to the party. Greg: (to the party) "You adventurers will save him right? I'm counting on you. Or i am out of a job and out of money." He says sadly.
@ Edmond, (OOC: edmond is talking with the party, and you are with the other members of the party, feel free to read their posts and the posts directed at them.)
@ Gerrack, You are stopped when Sildar entered the tavern, as well as being recalled by misty. (OOC: you are with the other members of the party, feel free to read their posts and the posts directed at them.)
@ Misty, (OOC: your question got answered in Gniff's post.)
@ Branch, Elsa: (to Branch) "You are quite kind yourself. Enjoy your day." Elsa goes back to work, dealing with customers, clearing tables, bring food back and forth.
@ Plaugg, (OOC: Plaugg is talking with the party look at other people's responses. You are with the other members of the party, feel free to read their posts and the posts directed at them.)
@ Gimble, (OOC: My mistake i meant to say something in the last post. 50 gold pieces for the party. roughly 6 gold pieces each if evenly split, but i leave that up to the party to decide.)
Sildar: (to the party, and Greg) "I'm sorry about Rockseeker, but i feel obligated to help the kingdom more than your business venture. I plan on looking for my friend who has gone missing. My first place to investigate, will be the Red Brand Bandits. They need to be dealt with, and they may have done something to my friend. Unfortunately for me i do not know where they are hiding. I was hoping you adventurers might have some clues, or at the very least will help me take them down."
“So small world eh?” Gimble asks rhetorically to the group. So, let me get this straight. You BOTH work for Gundren. Neither of you have a clue to his current whereabouts. And if I understand correctly he could be either with the bandits or the goblins.” At this Gimble munches on some food and drink.
“Ok, I think we’d be more than happy to help, both for the kingdom and the business venture. It seems as though we should pull all of our resources and contacts though. This may be bigger or longer than we’re expecting. This gold will come in handy (Gimble starts to divide the pouch of gold) to getting us on the way. Since were all in one spot, anyone want to list out what we already know or have leads to?”
"So these bandits," Gniff starts, "are they mostly operating outside the city? I can talk to some friends and get a search going. I think it's important that we save Gundren and bring down these bandits a peg or two."
"W-we need to take c-care of those b-bandits in any r-regard. T-they had it in for o-one of our f-former companions who w-was close to M-M-Misty... I wouldn't be s-surprised if they start t-t-targetting her n-next to f-find where he d-disappeared to. I think w-we should strike them f-first this time b-before that h-happens. It would be like k-killing t-two mice with o-one talon."
"Also those bandits have attacked us twice." Misty points out. "Let's take care of them once and for all." She looks to the group. "I don't know anything that would lead us to their hideout, but we can start asking around."
The talk of bandits has drawn Branch’s attention. “I would actually very much like to look into these bandits you’re all speaking of.” Branch’s happy demeanor has turned much more serious before Branch catches himself and switches to a half hearted smile

Gimble shakes his head saying, “ I agree with you but weren’t Sildar and Gundren attacked by the goblins. We found Sildar in the goblins custody which leads me to believe that the goblins are the ones that hold Gundren and not the bandits, would you guys disagree with us. I think the bandits need to be deal, but do we honestly think that is where we will find Gundren? Or do we just want to hit them first just a freaking get rid of some annoying pests and maybe find some info about the goblins?”
"While goblins are fairly crafty I do think it is all connected. For instance, those goblins had a wide variety of equipment at their disposal, so why weren't they using it? I think they were holding on to it," Gniff says as he picks random crumbs of other peoples plates.
@ Gniff, Sildar: (to everyone) "From my understanding, they operate outside the city, but are likely hiding/living in the city. They must have a base of some sort, where they keep their stolen goods." (OOC: reminder there was a mixture between opened and sealed crates, while your theory might be possible, the evidence technically points to they hadn't gotten to it yet. not that i am trying to sway you one way or the other.)
@ Misty, Greg: (to everyone) "While it's just a rumor. I did hear that Carp Alderleaf might have found the red brand bandit's base. Carp is Qelline's son. She has a farm right outside the city's walls." (OOC: the party did receive the rumor that would point them that way when they first got to the city.)
@ Gimble, Sildar: (to everyone) "Gundren is for sure with the goblins, they are the ones that ambushed us. I haven't even encountered the bandits until i was traveling with you all. Since Greg's rumor is our best lead i would recommend you all follow up on that. I am going to go to the palace and see what i can dig up on either of the two foes. Do not lose hope. Gundren must be alive. The goblins wouldn't have gone to the trouble to capture us both if they were just going to kill us."
Sildar: (to the party, and Greg) "I'm going to depart. If i find anything useful i will return here to the Inn. If any of you need to contact me go up to the palace and ask for me. If you do find the red brand bandit base, i would like to accompany you to help deal with them. If you find the base and are unable to get back to the city before taking them out, i will give you a reward of 200 gold for taking out the bandits." Sildar leaves the Inn. A few minutes after Sildar leaves another person enters the inn. The person is completely covered/hidden by their hooded cloak. They look around the room and eventually they spot Gimble. The person walks over. ???: (to Gimble) "You are expected." He then tosses a sealed envelope to Gimble and then departs.
Greg: (to the party) "That Sildar guy sure seems intense. I guess i shouldn't be surprised from one of those military types." Greg turns to Gimble "Who was that guy?"

Looking for a new game, if you need a player private message me.
"Well, let's take care of selling the gear first off." Misty suggests after Sildar leaves. "After that we can check into this child who might know the bandit hideout location. I don't think we have any leads on the goblin's base of operations, so we need to do something more to find that out, and maybe these bandits might have some of that information."
Excellent. We have a plan. All this is kind of like a giant real life jigsaw, and we've only begun gathering the pieces.... After we are finish at Barthen's Provisions I would like to go to my temple and find out if they have heard anything of the Red Brand Bandits...
Gimble looks up. “Yeah, Sorry guys, I gotta go. I’ll look for ya at Orchecks or Barthens when I’m done.”
He takes a last swing of his drink and bite of his food. Gets his gear and heads for the door. At the door he pauses. He walks back to the group, “So just outta curiousity, and confirmation, we have NO plans to go back to the cave, and we’re essentially letting the Lionshield figure their own crap out right? I have an idea but I need to know those things for sure first.”
After getting his answer he heads back to the door to leave, and walks into the morning sun covered street and begins a brisk walk to his meeting with Mr. Chin.
Branch gives a small laugh “Well that’s awfully sweet of you Miss. You are a very kind lady and I thank you much.”
