Alkaios still barely even moved as he watched Tarina scurry away from her pursuers. "Bye!", he whispered while flashing a mischievous smile. The young Ranger then jumped to his feet pocketing the gold pieces from the table in one elegant move. He turned to his companions and exclaimed jovially, "Let's hunt ourselves some cultists! What do you say?" Truth be told, Alkaios knew that the things Tarina hinted at in their short conversation were rather disturbing. 'Raising people from the dead', was hardly ever a good thing. Whatever was going on with this 'Silent Bell', it seemed that they had the necessary information to move against this Cult. Most importantly the location of their church Tarina gave him and which he now shared with the others.
Truth be told she's almost a tad disappointed when the situation ends without conflict. Something in her is itching for a fight, but that feeling is becoming familiar, and she shoves it down, knowing this is better off in the long run. She has to hand it to Gerrard for diffusing the situation so neatly, even if the underhanded tactics would have once made her stomach twist. As it is Alkaios has the location of the church, and even more than those thugs, she's itching to find these cultists.
She does pass a quick and quiet "Well done." to Gerrard as they make their way out.
"Let us make haste." She says to everyone else, unnecessarily she's sure.

"Thank you Elenora," answers Gerrard, "though I fear we have not seen the last of them. At least we know of their ship, the Uncanny, and have a way to get on board should Captain Zodge decide we need to deal with them later."
Moving out of the building and nodding at her comment, Gerrard adds, "Yes, let us accomplish today's mission with haste. Hopefully our informant has enough sense to lay low for awhile--away from the Basilisk gate."

" I have always dreamed of owning a boat. Maybe those sea dogs would like to donate it to the church of Bahamuut..." Sir Qelroth jokes as they proceed to the church to break the legs of evil.
As the group moves out of the tavern they see Kutosha talking to someone. He is showing a Flaming Fist emblem. The one given to recruits just like yours.
Kutosha looks to the group and nods. " Gotta go, seems the Fists have need of someone acquainted with the Guild, for a talk. The captain also sent us .. you.. reinforcement with the message. What did you find ?"
(OOC: I 'll let you acquainted as you walk to the church of the Silent Bell.)
The walk to the small church is uneventful. For Baldur's Gate. The tension is still high but the Flaming Fist seems to have clenched to life out of the budding uprising.
The Heapside is more shanty town than a real quarter. It appears to be made of several villages thrown together behind the city wall. They have grown so close that they are threatening to spill on unto the other making it difficult to maneuver the streets and passages.
As you arrive near the church location you begin to see small bells tied at street corners or hanging in front of houses. They are all missing the clappers.
" pretty strange having bells with no ringers. I guess this is why it's called the church of the silent bell. Probably the houses with the disfigured bells are 'church' members or evil cultists. They probably claim the streets marked the same way. Seems more like a gang then a Parish."
Sir Qelroth surmises. He reaches out with his sense undead ability to see if the rumor is a fact. Better to know if there are zombies or ghouls before we get too close.
Alkaios walked side by side with Sir Qelroth having his keen eye watch their surroundings for any trouble they could walk into. "I for one would have appreciated a little bit more information about this church. If they truly raise the dead, we are in for a lot of troubles.", the young ranger said as they kept approaching the curches location. The decorative bells did their part in making him feel even mor unease.
Perception: 15 for the approach towards the Church.
The presence of actual silent bells lends an air of eerieness to the situation that Eleonora might unknowingly appreciate at any other time. However she's too focused on why they're here. At least in part. For the moment the initial mission of bringing a troublesome cult to heel is at the back of her mind, while the anticipation of destroying the undead creatures they might be cultivating is at the forefront.
She heads toward the church, having hardly paid any attention to their change in party during their travel.

Gerrard has the grace to look embarrassed as he responds, “Ah, yes, my mistake. You are indeed quite stealthy for an armored warrior. Any thoughts on the best approach for the coming mission?”
OOC: My fault, I am still trying to put the character’s names with the proper player—I was trying to welcome Persuasion to the group. The lack of icon & name tag lines specific to the characters we are playing is the reason why I always put my character name at the top of my posts.
( yeah, no problem. I do like the idea of putting your name at the top. It makes it more obvious when reading)
" my methods are pretty straightforward. When I sense the evil, I try and smash it out of existence or into repentance. I have a good nose for rooting out evil, but this whole city wreaks of it so I find it takes a little extra effort to detect the taint of undeath. "
The new member is a stout male tiefling with red skin and flat, white eyes. His chain mail rattles against his shield and flail, all of which is semi-covered by his cloak, "Greetings, I am Varrick Arthil. I have been assigned to come with your group, what are your names?"
”Greetings, Varrick, I am Gerrard, a recent recruit to the Flaming Fist. Do you have any additional intel on the Church of the Silent Bell?” The slender half-elf carries himself with an air of confidence and authority, even though he claims to be a recent recruit like many of the rest. In addition to the standard Flaming Fist uniform, Gerrard is wearing light armor and carries a serviceable rapier.

As you walk among the crowd and in the shanty town's streets Sir Qelroth has heard the lull in the song he feels deep in his bones ( Divine Sense). The neutrality of the object is clear.
I m trying to use divine sense without saying it plainly.
The small church looks more like a large house transformed for the cult than a real church. Large doors have been crafted in front and stand open. All around the ground, just at the entrance, are dozens of bells. None are the same and come in all shapes and sizes. None will ever make a sound.
