"And where would we find this lair you mentioned. We can't go from door to door in the hopes of finding one per chance.", Axandros inquired from the captain. Of course it didn't occur to those running for the door that ignorance could hinder their advancement in this matter.
"No door to door. Arrow and I are from here and we're not amateurs. We have contacts in the city, and there are crime scenes we can investigate further." Khaffosi pauses, and looks at the Captain, "Unless you just happen to know where these lairs are?"
Alea cleared her throat a bit ”I know a few people who would likely be willing to help as well” she said in a more calm voice now as she looked at the captain

"No amateurs? Who could've guessed.", the wizard couldn't suppress the urge to give him a little needle, but continued immediately, "I still find it prudent to ask the captain of the largest law enforcement agency of the city for any information or clue he might have."
Khaffosi's color was fading to ashen gray, but the redness starts to take hold again, "OK. If you think you can hunt down cultists in Baldur's Gate better than a pair of experience bounty hunters who are from Baldur's Gate, then we'll do it your way. When you need our help, we can discuss compensation." Khaffosi stands ridgid, working the haft of his greataxe with his hands, waiting to get on with it.
Hunfero has an unpleasant appearance that you wouldn't expect from a half-elf. But he does have a soothing voice that seems to lure the listener in. (OoC: He doesn't look exactly like Grima Wormtongue, but Hunfero has a similar effect on people.)
He sighs at the FF captain. More bluster and bullying, using his position for whatever advantages he can get. But Hunfero would need to be stronger to oppose someone like that.

"I just wanted to know if the Captain already had some leads we could follow. Like the sites of the recent murders or any other bit of information the Flaming Fist could have gathered already.", (Axandros) said trying to take a less confrontatinal position this time.
After Alea gives a veiled warning that he is being suspiciously quiet, Hunfero adresses the FF captain with a bland smile on his face. "As this gentleman has said, do you have any suggestions on where to start? Your wisdom and experience would surely aim us in the right direction. Or maybe you have leads that you were unable to explore? Only because you are far too busy with matters of greater importance, of course."
(OoC: I like the idea that Alea is just looking to talk, and Hunfero is trying to figure out what mastermind manipulation she is trying to do. For the moment, I'm going to keep doing that.)

"I have a lead." The captain explains in a stern tone. "I was waiting to see who I need to kick out into the cold first. However, it looks like Tymora's smiling on us today, we have some co-operativeworkers." He lightly drums his fingers on the indent on the table. “A few blocks from the Basilisk Gate is Elfsong Tavern. A spy named Tarina hangs out there, gathering rumors for the Guild. She owes me a favor, so tell her you work for me. Ask her what she knows about the Dead Three. And, for the love of Balduran, be nice. Tarina has dangerous friends. IF you manage to get rid of their hiding hole, and we're clear of them for a tenday, you'll get your princely reward.”
Alea let out a sigh as she looked at the captain before nodding her head “so we talk to her and get information, makes simple sense” she said with a now calm gaze

Pogo takes a deep breath, "Captain I don't know much about these things, my time at sea as left me a bit disconnected. Still I don't need to know much if they are some sort of evil cult like you are suggesting." The idea of having a mission and being able to help those in need seems to remove the stress from Pogo as he looks to the others "I will gladly hunt down these evil bastards. And my new comrades seem to be up to the task as well!"
Pogo stands up and looks back at the captain. "No need to worry we will treat your spy friend with the kindness of Lliira and deal with this cult issue before you know it. we have some experience in that field!" Realizing he just mentioned the thing he wasn't supposed to talk about he looks to Khaffosi and tries to press the conversation forward quickly "Now where can we find this Elfsong Tavern?
"And do you have a name Captain? surely you can't be the only Captain ******* in the Flaming Fist......how will she know which ******* we work for?" Arrow says from the door.
And with Arrow's words, Khaffosi's grip relaxes and his color returns to ashen grey. He can't help but let slip a mirthful hiss as he tries not to laugh openly in the Captain's face.
Axandros wasn't sure if some of his new companions that were forced upon him, were able to grasp the gravity of the situation they found themselves in. With martial law imposed on the city, the Flaming Fist had nearly absolute freedom to do as they pleased and the wizard was sure that to insult one of the Fist's captains wasn't the best course of action. So he wondered if the Tabaxi just signed his own sentence by calling the officer an *******.
"You can trust me on this, Captain. This cult will be found and dealt with.", Axandros assured once again.
Pogo takes a deep breath, "Captain I don't know much about these things, my time at sea as left me a bit disconnected."
Hunferho mutters quietly to Pogo that the information can be explained later, when the group has some downtime.
(Hunferho was able to remember the interesting tidbits. And gaining the favor of the group's Life Cleric is always useful before going into hostile situations.)
"And do you have a name Captain? surely you can't be the only Captain ******* in the Flaming Fist......how will she know which ******* we work for?" Arrow says from the door.
Hunferho seethes internally, at not thinking of that burn first... But the captain is still of use for now, so it is too early to burn that bridge.
While rushing to get Arrow away from the room before the captain can respond, Hunferho speaks a little too loudly. "The captain does resemble Baron Arshole the Fair of Waterdeep, but I'm sure the captain is not related."

Arrow finds that the door is barred, unable to be opened at this moment.
"The name, Arrow," The captain stands up, walking towards the tabaxi. "Is Captain Zodge." He then reaches into a pouch, retrieving small bronze pins, each bearing the coat of arms for The Flaming Fist. He presses it harshly into the tabaxi's chest, dealing 4 piercing damage into his chest. "You're lucky I'm not in a bad mood, or I'd take your head off for insubordination." He throws a badge to each of the others in the room, all the same. "Get this done; locals, you should know where Elfsong tavern is. Your pony's going towards livestock restriction." He knocks on the door, the bar being removed. "Oh, and you'd best learn fast. You do well by me and you get the earned respect. Anymore 'Captain *******', and you'll find your ******* on a spike."
