Avelin, hoping to impede and slow the advance of the suddenly charging cats, steadies his focus, grips the bundle of sticks in one hand, and with the other hand starts with a palm side up fist and curls his fingers upward and outward. "Apologies noble cats, forgive our trespass but we cannot be your lunch today,", Avelin says to himself and hoping his regrets were heard by the spirits, then extends his hand outward toward the plain.
Spike Growth suddenly appears, twists and sprouts of hardened, sharp thorns and bramble. (Centered on the intersection of K/L and 11/12, which should catch cat #1 in its radius for possible immediate damge and lay a hazardous terrain for the other charging cats) (Will maintain concentration until other circumstances dictate)
Upon seeing one flank covered, Mateja moves up along with Farkas to block the route to the archer and shaman, swinging her hammer in eager anticipation. With a grin on her face she casts a glance sideways at the warrior at her side and gives him a nod before once again turning her focus to the animals.

Avelin alters the span of terrain between all of you and the approaching cats, causing the first beast to continue its sprint through the mess of thorns. In a full sprint and with eyes on Mateja, the cat is unable to avoid the trap that was set for it, and takes 28 piercing damage before tumbling in a lifeless heap at Mateja's feet.
The remaining three cats continue their charge, and the second one isn't fully able to avoid the shaman's spikes as it does so. It howls in pain as its feet and legs are briefly snarled in the brambles (4 piercing damage).
Mateja has a cat crouched, ready to pounce, approximately 15' in front of him, while the other two cats are approaching the group from the south.

Mateja leaps over the cat that rolled to a stop at her feet, hoping to catch the second cat by surprise by rushing out to meet it. Over her shoulder she cries out to Farkas to protect the other flank and keep the Shaman safe.
With a low growl she brings up her warhammer with a backhanded swing, following it up immediately with a slash of her mother's sword.

Hearing Mateja's cry to keep the shaman safe and seeing her rush to meet the cat in front of him Urijeon turns his attention to the other two cats. He fires his bow at the front one before rushing forward to get a better view.
Mateja's hammer whistles just over the head of the cat, but her sword finds its target, cutting a large gash into the beast's shoulder. Meanwhile, Urijeon fires a second arrow; this one, however narrowly misses.
(Actions for Avelin, Farkas, and Teya are next, in any order).
*gulp* Never meant to kill the cat, Avelin thinks quickly to himself, only to dissuade them from atracking us. No time to ponder or question the religious and spiritual consequences of having slain such a mighty beast, Avelin decides to move from danger, quickly, and out of harms way.
Dashing (to space K9), Avelin looks to place himself in between the mighty Metaja and the enigmatic Urijeon. To protect them best he needs to be close, and vice versa.

As the savage beasts approach, Teya grips her weapon in anticipation of this challenge which she knows how to confront. Rage and frustration at the mysteries of the past few days flow through her. She lifts the maul above her head and runs towards the second cat, focused entirely on smashing the cat's skull with the tusk of her maul.

Teya charges forward and, with a mighty swing, delivers a blow to the nearest cat. She now find herself facing two of the beasts as the third cat creeps forward to join the battle. Both beasts leap forward, slicing at the barbarian with their massive claws...
Mateja lets out a surprised yelp as she finds herself rolling on the ground with the cat. The cut she'd made on its shoulder had not been enough to scare off the animal, and she could feel the warm blood flowing where it's savage fangs had tore open her skin. A fierce curse and cry emerge from within her throat as she scrambles to her feet, kicking to keep the animal at bay as she swings her hammer and sword to scare it off.

Avelin sees Mateja to his left tussling with one of terrain mighty beasts; to his right, and to his regret, sees Teya suddenly jumped by two of them. Torn between what to do, Avelin asks the spirits to steady the warriors' hands and weapons.
Stepping forward slightly, Avelin extends his hands outwards to his sides, twisting them into a circle, and a bluish hue tinges the air around. It manifests itself vaguely and slightly into the form of a warrior, quickly dissipates, and scatters into three directions directly into the muscles and weapons of Metaja, Urijeon, and Teya to Bless each.
Offense may end up being the best defense, Avelin decides. The brambles and thorns suddenly disappear.

Unable to find her target with her warhammer, Mateja once again stings the fourth cat with her sword. The beast decides the barbarian is no longer worth the trouble; it disengages and flees to the nearby hills.
Likwise, the second cat, after being struck again by Teya's maul, opts to disengage and look for easier prey. Although Urijeon's arrow found its mark, the third cat continues to glower at Teya before leaping forward with teeth bared...

With the majority of the cats running for easier prey, Mateja crouches down next to the fallen cat while keeping a wary eye out for the cats still running off in the distance.
