((For Remove Curse? I assumed either you or Lionel would have it but looked through both of your spell lists and didn't see it. If you have it, I'll choose a different spell to know. I was trying not to duplicate spells))

((Clerics! We can change what we know every long rest... Just a little prayering, studying and mumbo-jumboing and we can adjust what's avail... So maybe I cannot do it today, but I could do tomorrow.))
During our discussion about Remove Curse, I'd also ask Mordecai to pick Ketch up about two dozen vials... He intends to spend a couple days using up all his spells on Holy Water when he gets a chance. Need vials to store it in. :)
(I do have remove curse, just forgot to add it to the spellbook, Meepo got it from the spellbook we took off the boy in the mayor's house after he nearly killed us all. I won't be preparing it, just available if we need it. I did take the new Summon Undead spell from Tasha's, as well as Arcane Eye. Forgot I had Phantom Steed, so need to start riding aroun ndon a phantom horse instead of those skeletons....)
((Riding a skeleton has suited Meepo. I opted for Summon Greater Demon in the end. Should be fun. Hence the need for glass vials. Means we need to kill humanoids, but that's doable, between werewolves, vampires, (burgomasters...), and Strahd's brides))
((Technically, if night hasn't come and we slept yet, you can get Remove Curse from me now. I adjusted to get Ceremony to bless some water the next day...and I had one 3rd level slot left so all should be set there.))
The group can track down an armorer no problem, and the man happens to have a suit of studded leather in stock. He adjusts it to Mordekai within a few minutes. Ulthan has max'ed out the number of arrows he can carry. (NO WAY ARE YOU CARRYING 400 ARROWS WITH YOU PUNK, I ALREADY MADE THAT MISTAKE IN OUR OTHER GAME. :-D. For any semblance of reality, I'm going to limit you to 100 arrows on your person. 20 in your quiver and accessible during a battle.)
You return to your 2nd home in this cursed land, the Blue Water Inn, and visit Urwin. As usually, he's pleased to see you, and he has a lovely meal and drinks made up for you....including wine of course. As you all sit about eating and drinking, he rubs his recently shave face and hmms and haws over your question of a wedding gown. "On short order....so...it would have to be one that is already made...and...accessible. I mean...you know, we're asking the wrong person here. Danika, honey, come here for a second....they're looking for a wedding dress....what do you think who might have one?"
Danika smiles pleasantly and then taps her chin in thought, "Hmmm, well....to be honest...most ladies get married in just a dress. Not a lot of folks can afford a custom wedding gown. But...I do recall ..Lydia Petrovna had one. She is the Burgomasters wife....I'm not sure where the dress might be, or if she'd be willing to help you, given your involvement in the whole incident at the house. I heard tell she doesn't believe her son attacked her husband...she thinks you were all responsible but that it was some sort of evil cover up. She's not likely to lend you a dress I guess."
I believe both Ketch and Lionel may also be interested in the wares the armorer has. Ketch is looking for Plate Mail, Lionel likely looking to move up from their chain mail... We have some coin, of course, but would also be looking to sell some jewels and such to get more in order to pay for such upgrades. And assuming there is new armor to be had, our old armors could be bartered as well.
"We could always barter with the woman... Even if we have nothing she wants, it sounds like she likely wants us not here? Or perhaps she needs some task done or such? She doesn't like us but surely she can see we get results. Even if not always done prettily..." Ketch suggests.
Mordekai casts Disguise Self to look like one of the female guests who interrupted the scuffle at the Burgomaster's... but still in an awesome Santa hat. "Perhaps the lady would listen to the reason of any eye witness to the events? Or she may just be willing to lend the dress to someone who has needs of it?"
He then recasts it to look like a fairly ordinary looking man but with paint splatters adorning his clothes. "Or perhaps she might lend it to an adoring artist offering her a free portrait as a token of his adoration, rather than have to pose in it for hours herself?"
"Do not think we should visit her as ourselves, but I agree on trading or bartening," chimed in Lionel. "She lost her husband and son, she is no longer the first lady of the town and might not have any source of income anymore. The dress is just sitting there, never to be used again but a painful reminding of those she lost. She might want to get rid of it. May be Danika can buy it for us? Or trade for an expensive jewel?"
"Ketch, like it or not, but we played a part in Lady's current situation. Stealing on top of everything else -- not just a bad tone, it is worse that a grave robbery. We--or better someone else--can appeal to her better nature and explain, that the dress is needed for saving a child. Considering her own loss, she might be sympathetic and Mordekai can be pretty convincing. In the worst case we can continue to ask around. I will never believe that the whole town never had a wedding around here. Someone else might have it. We can talk to vistany if we have to."
Mordekai goes to Urwin, "What do you know of Krezk? Did the late Burgomaster here have many dealings with the master of Krezk? Would they have known each other well? Be in favorable terms?"
"Just providing option," Ketch says with a shrug and grabs a drink.
"Personally I think Mordie should do his appearance trick, look like whatsisname? Who we're running this errand for in the first place. It was a good story, got us running around... Just adjust it from him getting us to do it to him coming here on his own. Chances are she doesn't know his voice so a little performance to go with the disguise and, if she has any heart left, we may just have it..."
Ketch turns to face Mordecai more directly. "Play up the son in danger aspect, she can relate to that I think? Be all hectic and heartbroken and pitiful. But also be polite and pleading and promising of it's return undamaged..."
Meepo has been enjoying the taste of food and wine as he listens to the others making plans on getting the dress. "Meepo think send Mordekai with illusion." He agrees with that plan.

((I forgot that's how clerics work. Never mind then, Mordekai won't use Remove Curse. He'll learn a more fitting spell instead.))
As well as the studded leather, Mordekai would also like to find some glass vials in town, if possible.

((In my experience the staff at churches get upset if you just go in and start siphoning off their holy water... But sure, we could ask!)) :D

As in, not automatic voice impersonation? I know, Mordekai was planning on putting on his best lady voice, until he thought of the artist plan.
