Kai sighs and pulls out his notes journal, "And the party of adventurers...walked some more." He puts his notebook away with a showy huff. "You know, it's hard to write an epic about a group that just walks all the time. Baring 'King of the Circlets' by Lot'kien. I mean to say, that story IS actually mostly walking but even they got attacked by orcs and fought their way through once in a while!"

Kravek makes a mental note of the display of the horseheads. Not helping since Kravek would not see the point of this. In the north the bloody display would only attract more creatures to the road and the north would know to defend themselves when travelling.
While walking he will try to check for tracks near the road going into or coming from the bushes to try and spot other ambush points.
(survival 8)
Listening to the others they seem eager to fight more dangerous battles. A strange thing to wish for. Kravek will not speak just walk with the group, listening and watching.

As they walk ahead, Palisade will send Malizath ahead to scout for them, making sure to have the imp transform into a crow. As he does this the warforged will look through the eyes of his familar, making sure to keep a lookout for anything out of place.
Kallak will try to grab the scroll for spirit guardians, since she should be the only person who can read it. The rest can be apportioned later. She takes a look in the general store cart that didn't seem to be pilfered through yet, grabbing anything interesting, and trying to see if she recognizes anything... her family business is in shipping and transport so she's run into plenty of merchants like this. She'll look for bills of goods, identification, and anything else valuable. (Investigation: 6) She'll also try to arrange the dead in a way that is a bit more respectful, and say a quick prayer to Auril, apologizing for not handling this with a bit more... maturity. She then follows the group and ranges about the its perimeter, still hunting as she goes and grabbing anything tasty to eat for dinner that night. She tries not to think too much about the horse heads.

Kallak is about to discern that the cart is probably owned by a small business owner and there isn't really much stuff in his cart. Some bolts of cloth and rope and torches -- things of that nature, nothing you wouldn't have already packed for the trip. There is a log that can be found and written at the top is Halliwell's Goods in a nice calligraphy.
As she does so, Rixton works on taking the head off of one of the horses. He finds a javelin thrown by one of the Bugbear and plunges it through the horses neck meat into his head and plants it into the ground on the the side of the road a few hundred feet back.
A bewildered Kravek searched for more points of ambush here and as they travel. Apart from the hoof prints of crossing creatures the path doesn't seem to be disturbed at all.
Palisade and Malizath are able to scout pretty effectively as a tandem as nothing else of note happens that day.
The night begins to seep into the sky and you all start to figure out where to camp for the night.

So adventurers, where would you like to camp. You are traveling east on a trail. To the north of the trail is a heavy treeline -- foresty. Lots of cover but could be prone to wild animals or you can take the grassy plains to the south. Less likely to need protection against wildlife but you will be much more exposed.

Kallak agrees the trees are a better bet, and she does her usual foraging, hunting, and cooking. A mouthwatering smell starts to permeate the camp as the stew cooks featuring some root vegetables, a duck, and a partridge she snagged in a trap.

Kravek will take the first watch.
He will start by just sitting against a tree watching the group bed down and go through the events of the day in silence.
After everyone has gone to sleep Kravek will make a few patrols to see if he notices anything.
(perception 12)
At the end of his watch he will wake the next person and sit down before going to sleep. Kravek will take out specific runestones out of his bag and hold them in his hands. Closing his eyes and speaking some words in Giant.
I call upon you once more Annam. I ask for you to guide this group and strenghten our will so we may reach our destination.
Kravek will sit for a few moments more before returning his runestones to his bag and then go to sleep.
Palisade will move to take his needed rest for the day while still remaining aware of his surroundings, have Malizath move around the camp to scout for the party as needed.

"If we are to return the items to the traders, we would first need to know who they are. For now we should keep the items with us and return them if we happen upon those that own them." Palisade says as he goes about cleaning up the camp since he had no need to eat or drink like the more flesh beings that make up the rest of the party.
"Halliwell's," Kallak says, holding up the log from the merchant's cart. "If we see them, we can update. I already took the one cleric scroll, for spirit guardians, since I'm the only one who can read it. Also grabbed some extra rope and torches. Can return to Halliwell's or use ourselves."
That much talking has taken a lot out of her, and you realize it's the first time she's spoken since before the fight. She still trying to get a sense from this group of who they are and what they are really doing. The goliath seems to hold some reverence for those stones, which seem important to him, and there's a comfort that he brings, coming from the north as she does. The drunken pyromaniac seems fun, and a bit more manageable away from bars, her favored terrain. The sarcastic guy really knew how to handle that rapier of his. The warforged might have some interesting stories about those maps of his, if the odd little familiar allowed him to talk about them.
Still, this group is barely a group. She's been hunting and cooking for them for a few days to zero response which is just odd. But she prefers less talking, so she doesn't have much to complain about.
(What is the weather and climate where they are, and what can be expected from their expected destination?)

As they are sitting at breakfast and packing up their camp Kravek will look up and around to everyone.
What of the coin and scrolls found. Do we return it to the trading company or divide it amongst ourselves? Perhaps you mages could use the scrolls.
He keeps looking around for a moment. I care not which is chosen.
During the next few days Olive is jovial, "Keep the coin and stuff, life is good."
