" it is a great lead and we get to see inside the famous Host Tower. Cant wait to tell the others, and see what they found out about boats and islands and stuff"
As you walk down the rickety docks of dragon beach looking at the variety of ships and boats tied to their moorings. All by its lonesome you see the "Sea Litch". A dark cloud seems to hang over the lonesome boat and you think you are dodging an arrow by not traveling on that one. The "Medusa's Smile" sits moored off the end of dock 4. Beautiful detailing along its rails and its sails. A carefully carved figurehead of a beautiful women with a cheery smile and as you get closer you see the snakes for hair. Each one exquisitely detailed down to each eye of every snake having an embedded gem or crystal. It seems the eyes follow you as you approach.

You have finally escaped the tower. Not exactly sure how. It was unnaturally dark in that room and even with your night vision and Tez's skills, youncouldnt see a foot in front of yourselves. You stumbled through a doorway and ended up here in this cave. You can smell the ocean and hear the crashing of the waves and the sound of sea birds. You can feel the cool, fresh breeze on your face. Something it seems you haven't felt in years. Not once during your captivity were you allowed to be outside the walls of the tower. You feel a tear trickle down your face as the smell of freedom washes over you and Tez. Tez being just born doesnt really understand the predicament you two just escaped or the idea of freedom and the senses flooding his new mind with data.
”We made it Tez, we’re out... But where are we? Let's see here...” Svirnivel says, reaching down and picking up a small rock. He then pulls out a few tinkering tools and adds a small LED-type device to the front of it, making it shine bright light out to 5 feet, and dim light another 5 feet beyond that. ”There we go. Now where are we?” Svirnivel then points his makeshift flashlight around. What does he see?

As Yensen approached the vessel he appreciated the impressive craftsmanship that went into the figure adorning the front of the ship. Never being much of a sailor himself the proper terminology of boats was well beyond him.
"Well look at this one Mikhail!!" He said to his compatriot. "I bet this boat would get us were we need to go. Keep you far above the water too."
When they were closer Yensen would do his best to get any glimpse of the crew. Trying to judge the level of care the crew takes in their overall appearance and if they look particularily "thuggish".
Mikhail looks at the ship in pure loathing, barely paying any attention to the surely stone turned thing on the point.
"Oh aye, sure, high enough but make no mistake, this thing will kill you mercilessly. It's a sure bit of hell on this plane, for sure! Now let's find this Captain and get going lad."
With the dim light provided by your contraption you see the wall of the cave look to be unnaturally formed but created from a long time ago. long enough to have petroglpyhs painted on the smooth surface of the rock. the petroglyphs show figures hunting and fighting and being hunted but what appears to be dragon. you can see light around the bend of the tunnel so you know the cave isn't too deep. where you stand is a circle made from crystalline stalagmites sprouted from the ground and on the roof a similar circle of stalactites.
The crew is bustling about on deck, seeing to the chores and preparations required for long voyages on the rough seas of the north. They look like capable sailors, barefoot and shirtless as they go about their duties. Some have beards and most wear a variety of earrings, tattoos and other adornments, but they all seem to know what they are about. If you approach the loading plank the first mate is there checking off supplies as the crew members are loading them up the plank. Across from dock 4 where you are standing you can see a smaller boat moored to dock 3. a deck flag with the image of a personified sun with a mischievous smirk, hangs prominently from its bow. You surmise that this boat would be the "Grinning Dawn".
Svern places his hand on one of the stalagmites. ”Interesting... What could've caused this...?” He mumbles quietly to himself while examining the crystalline stalagmites.
Does he know anything about them? What check would that be?
They are unlike anything you would ever seen or heard of. You can do an investigation check and maybe scrape sample for later analysis. (You dont really have any equipment as of yet, so you will need to improvise from the environment unless tax has something of use you may have built in him. We will work on remedying the equipment issue)
Tez's visualization of the drawn scenes makes him wonder if the size of the creature is an accurate thing or is it an embellishment by the artist

Svirnivel:
Svern takes another, slightly bigger, rock from the floor and uses it to scrape off a bit of the crystal into his hands. ”Now, let's see what we have here...” Svern then shines the light on the scrapings, trying to tell what it is.
Investigation check to compare it to things I've seen before: 18
The substance isnt familiar but it appears to have been magically created and retains magical residue. You surmise the effect of the circles was how you exited the tower and must have some sort of teleport properties.
”Fascinating...” Svern says to himself. He then scrapes off a bit more and pockets in for later study. ”What do you see there Tez?” Svern says, walking towards Tez. He shines the light on the Petroglyphs, examining them himself for a moment before he snaps back to the world around him ”Oh! We should get out of here, Tez! Abernath might be after us!” He then begins running towards the light at the end of the cave, motioning for Tez to follow.
You exit the cave and find you are on a high plateau and on the edge of cliffs overlooking the ocean. In the distance you can see a few smaller islands and a couple larger ones much further in the distance. The wind is cool though the sun is warming enough to be comfortable. There are several pathways down the cliffs into some jungle as well as open marshlands. It seems there is abundant wildlife so securing a food should be no problem with your ingenuity. You can also see some nice open sand beaches and on your current level, the remains of an old domicile of some sort. Mostly just a roundish wall of stones with an opening that once had a door and small porthole like windows. The roof is mostly non-existent.
Tez wonders at the abundance of life and attempts to catch the nearest wild creature near him, and investigates the unseen plants, dismissing the ruin.

Tez looks in bewilderment at the size of the creature(thinking he himself was very large, being 5'2", compared to svern's height.).
