Balmar realizing the others are gathering info and knowing subtlety is not his strong suit he makes his way back down stairs pays for a room and eats quietly in the tavern then makes his way up waking up well before dawn and making his way to the Larch Path and simply sharpens and takes great care of his weapons as he wait for the others while keeping his eyes peeled for anyone following him or anything dangerous along the path.

While seeking out other information, Sparks would mentally summon his familiar from its dimentional sanctum. He would do so out of view of others, and no where near the Helm at Highsun. he would then send the little flying cat out to scout on its own, keeping watch for anything unusual.
Flutter (sound of wings fluttering)'s perception: 18
Also, Flutter can locate anything invisible within 30 feet of himself.
Once Sparks found out anything he could, and if he could find something valuable to take, he would find a place he could climb up high and roost for the night. He would recall the tressym then and set it to watch over him as he slept.
As Torvin and Balmar make there way to the rondevu site Balmar turn a questioning eye on the Torvin and trying to be subtly quiet about it but failing miserably ask in surprisingly fluent Dwarvish.
"So........Did you find out anything I figured the others spread out trying to find out as much as possible so i kept out of the way as best I could ...I am not quite equipt for this whole cloak and dagger sort of things. Point me at the enemy and I will bash in his skull but send me out for all this playing words ehhh it's just frustrating."
"Aye, I too am not much on chatting up people. I spent the evening in the tavern in hopes of over-hearing something useful. The only thing I learned is the weather this Spring has been unusual and farmers have lost a lot of their crops. Which may not seem like much but, from my knowledge weather does not change like that in such a short period of time. Something strange is going on here."
Dawani learns from the dwarf that cloaked figures in stone masks have been sighted in the quarry after dark. As a result, the miners have refused to work in the quarry after sundown.
Flutter does not sight anything of particular interest.
(Sorry Coldin, I passed over the Religion check accidentally.)
Coldin cannot determine the priest’s denomination, and the man leaves after exchanging a few words of greeting. He seems to be in a great hurry.
The next morning Sparks will climb down out of wherever he roosted that night and make his way towards the meeting point. He will have flutter following and keeping an eye out.
Sparks is up early the next morning, and acquires several items which have “dropped” from the pockets of sleepy townsfolk dragging themselves to work. These items include eleven copper pieces, a broken flute, a jar of buttons, a prayer book, a couple candles, and a checkered handkerchief.
Tossing the buttons and broken flute into the weeds along the path, Sparks puts the other things into his pack, figuring they might come in handy with some disguise or another down the road.
Auntie has returned to her secret domain and Tangle stands on the side of the road waiting as the party members arrive in clumps. He leans casually against a tree on one shoulder. "I hope your evening was fruitful, did we find out anything interesting? If not, we should begin our trek. It's probably about a fifty mile walk to Beliard along the Larch Path. If we really pushed it we could make it in one day, but I think we'll likely end up camping on the northern side of the Sumber hills. Also, before we depart..."
Tangle looks both ways down the road to make sure the coast is clear, and then his form shimmers like a mirage and fades into a different being. Before you stands a woman, a tiefling, with dark blue skin, and dark black hair that tumbles down her back and shoulders. She wears a patchwork of dark leather armor. Two bat wings are tucked up in a tight bunch on her back, over which she holds a backpack. A battered crossbow hangs on her back, and a longsword is strapped to her side. She is thin and lithe, and stands about five and a half feet tall. On her face she wears a cracked wooden mask.
When she speaks to you, it's the same voice as before, though now that you see her, it's clear that Tangle's lilting soft voice was that of a woman. "To the locals I am known as the Masked Woman of the Woods. They do not understand my nature, and thus have come to fear me. When we're around locals, I will most likely shroud myself in the illusion you've witnessed thus far. My interest is in balance and I can say that whatever is happening in the valley is putting balance at risk. I found this position as a guide because I believe the delegation could be related." A small red dragon appears, perched on her shoulder, it's tail tipped with a stinger curls around her neck protectively. "This is Auntie. She will be around to keep an eye on us from above. She has keen senses which should keep us apprised of most danger before it arrives."
She gives Auntie a caress, and then the dragon pushes off her shoulder and takes to the air, flying up into the sky until it's a small speck above the group. Tangles body again shifts back to the male half-elf from before. This time wearing the crossbow and longsword.
"Shall we?"

"before we depart......" In Tangle's voice. He makes the sound of fluttering wings. A Black Tressym comes flying out of the sky to land on his shoulder. "This is..." In Tangle's voice. Sparks makes the same fluttering sound. "keep an eye on us from above. She has keen senses which should keep us apprised of most danger..." In Tangle's voice.
Sparks then glances around at the group, as the tressym flies up to circle overhead. "If anyone else knows any other details about the delegation, speak up." In Tangle's voice.
Coldin's eyebrows raise a bit but he makes no other outward signs of surprise. "Ah found nothin'. Espionage is naught my strength." He says in a surly voice. "As for tricks, I 'ave none, just a hammer and tha blessin' of the gods."

(No problem)
Coldin will head back to the Swinging Sword after saying his prayer and then join Torvin and Balmar on the road in the morning.

then to the others
"Lead on."
"The delegation was last seen in Beliard. Not sure if that helps."
