The opening looked inviting after hours of walking on the empty muddy road with fog breathing at your neck. Erelim looked around - horses, saddlebags on the grass - people should return shortly. The log was a good enough sit for tired legs, so, Erelim sat down, and let himself a moment of rest, listening sounds of a night around him.

The log was a good enough sit for tired legs, so, Erelim sat down, and let himself a moment of rest, listening sounds of a night around him.
You see a figure approaching up a slight hill to your right hand side. Past the wagons coming towards you.
Apparently, that opening was quite popular place in Barovia. Erelim did not move, but tried to make out everything he could from the type of the wagon and shape of the figure he could from all his own time on the road.
"Hail, friend. My name is Vauban Sal. You appear to be tired, long journey?"
The figure that comes in close to Erelim is a human in his 50's with dark grey hair, a greenish brown set of leather armour and a longbow that sticks out from behind his back. He approaches cautiously and he speaks slowly, with a deep graveled Scottish accent.
Erelim took off his hood, allowing to Vauband see the young man with an honest smile and a look of a tired angel. "You can say that, friend. Had a long day and it seems the night is not going to be shorter." He stand up and a bit ceremoniously (with a feeling of an manners drilled in so hard, one can not get rid of them) introduced himself: "Erelim Belfirith, pleased to meet you."
(OOC: Can Erelim actually see who is he talking to or Vauban's appearance is hidden?)
That must have been weapon (the cape did not hide long sword) that made stranger to take a step back. Or may be his height (Erelim was indeed tall). Or those forsaken manners. Erelim sat back to look less intimidating and made an inviting gesture - there was enough room on the log for several people.
"Not really, no. I came here on foot. From a town... You know, I do not recall it's name - was passing by and stayed just for a meal. Those wagons were already here when I came. Judging by the cold ash there was a camp here last night. But the things and horses are still here, and I hoped people will be back shortly."

"Hold, Erelim, another person is approaching." Vauban draws his bow from the back but doesn't point it or nock an arrow, simply positioning himself for anything. "Who approaches?"
A dark cloaked and hooded individual comes up over the hill and moves slowly towards what appears to be two men standing near wagons and an opening. The individual moves cautiously towards the two men, but keeps his distance to avoid any rash or sudden provocations. It points to the cold ash where a fire may have been lit previously.
"Is this your camp?" Says the man in a very low bass filled tone.

Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Jalt Rhogar - Dragonborn Cleric (9)
Having been watching and listening for a moment Marius sees that those at the wagons are not immediately hostile to those approaching and approaches them openly while sheathing his rapier and dagger. Having lowered his face covering they can see a man in his late 20's or early 30's with black hair showing signs of graying and full but trim beard. His gray eyes look out from under the shade of his hat and seem to be assessing the group as he approached with hands partially raised in a sign of peace.
"At least one more person out here, pray tell can any of you inform me on where you believe you are? I should be in Daggerford but the woods here are unfamiliar to me," he says in smooth deep voice spoken in a calm and friendly tone.
"As much as anyone can be alone in this vast world."The figure replies. "If this isn't your camp, what brings you here?" He keeps his distance now especially upon seeing the man holding a bow.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Aye, we should be in Daggerford. The Duchess sent me here to treat with unwelcome guests in her domain." Vauban nocks an arrow now, but doesn't point it at anyone. "You lot don't look like bandits. What's everyone's story?"
Vauban then scans the are for any more approaching figures. Perception: 10
(I reverted the actions in the previous posts because of the stealth thing.)
"I am Marius Argento an investigator on loan from Waterdeep who was investigating a werewolf threat, the concern was that they may have infiltrated the town...then when pursuing the alliance claim on having killed one I was surrounded by mist and seemingly transported to some strange woods," Marius says moving to within 30 feet of the man with the bow while keeping his hands up in a sign of peace.

Can I make an Insight check to see if he's telling the truth? I also look around to see what/who else I can see.

Correction, i was informed you do not see anyone else coming. He was being stealthy.
