Looking for 5 members in an original homebrew campaign.
You were 5 babies abandoned at a monastery - all of you brandishing the same mysterious mark on the back of your left hands. You lived and trained together for 10 years however as you started to develop your martial skills, and especially when training together, a power welled inside you all - causing fear in some and curiosity in others.
You were seperated from this point to parts unknown but after something 10 years apart, something begins stir memories of your past and the siblings you grew up with.
Far away from the monastery in a dark and dank room high in a tower, an enormous brass telescope points to the heavens. Loose pages of notes and ramblings lie in shambles over a desk and a knocked over bottle of ink begins to mix with the fresh blood on the floor...
You may:
Be any class or race.
Have 1 class of monk for free (you can still reach level 20 of your chosen class - total 21 levels)
You may have 1 feat to begin with (if you chose human you do not get an extra feat)
The emphasis is on story telling, not really maxing out character.
Once I have chosen the 5 players, we will play via WhatsApp in a group.
Please submit your characters.

You can roll for stats to make it fun :) Re-roll 1's - 6 D20's
(Redeemed (Acolyte Variant)) Priest was abandon 5 years ago on the steps of a monastery with 4 other children, the swirling gold mark on his left hand the only real connection to the other children as far as he knew. His pale white skin, gold eyes and horns marked his abyssal heritage and made him an outsider to most in the monastery. His name was given by a priest who thought it was fitting for the child, knowing that tieflings usually took a name that meant something for their lives and hopefully would keep the child from following his abyssal heritage.
As Priest grew up with children he worked hard to train with the rest following the expectations placed on them. He tried hard to adhere to the rules and keep in line, but could always sense the mistrust of those around him because of bias placed on him. He eventually found himself separated from the only real family he had come to know and unlike the monastery he grew up in he found himself in a very hateful place that eventually kicked him out. He found himself working with those who made poor choices learning to sympathize with them and even committing crimes with them.
It wasn’t until he found himself in prison that he would find his chance at salvation from a priest that regularly visited the prison. As he listened and learned about the goddess Serenrae he slowly began to pray to her for redemption, learning her scriptures and the stories of her chosen heroes. When he was finally released he began to spend time with the priest at his chapel, helping him and training to be a cleric for the goddess.
Then mysteriously one night his memories began to stir as his mark glowed – memories of his past and family. Feelings of loss and nostalgia began to stir and slowly he made the decision to begin a journey back to the original chapel the five had been left on – in hopes of reuniting.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(Just so I'm clear, we will start with 1 level of monk, and then 1 level of class of our choice?)
Name: Brenkaen Race: Half-Elf Class: Monk/Druid-planning to take druid Circle of Wildfire, Monk to Way of Four Elements or Way of Long Death, how much depends on group, setting, and game events. Background: Hermit, Isolated after being separated from the others, Brenkaen's continued training and growth has led him to believe that only through separation, destruction, and other forms of chaos can individuals grow. He is eager to share his wisdom with others now that he has returned.
Looked into whatsapp, I'm interested if we play here or discord, but I'm going to withdraw otherwise.
I grew up in a monastary(the one we were all raised in) and when I left I soon came upon mountainous terrain where a camp of dwarves lived. After helping them defeat a group of goblins who have been raiding them for months they took me into their ranks and I soon became a proficient blacksmith. As I grew better at fighting I explored further into the mountains where I saw a Necromatic Mystic who placed a curse on me that haunts me to this day. I returned home to see my camp burning to the ground. I saved only two people, my close friend Dillion, and the camp leader, Reginald. We ventured out searching for a saving grace and two of us found death.

Love the character.
Also yes - it's like a free level for story purposes. Each character will have a level of monk and then what ever they choose after.
If they continue with monk, I will speak to the PC and will brainstorm what the 21st level of monk might look like.
Think of it more like, you can play any character as normal, but you just happen to have 1 level in monk.
Working through some ideas... wondering if the centaur is a viable race?

Hey I was just wondering if you were gonna start the campaign soon or if you're just waiting for one more person.
