The undead seems to be on the last bit of its strength, as it holds up its hand, chanting once more. A ball of flames sprouts from his hand and it spins in place. It goes faster and faster till it breaks up into [Tooltip Not Found].
(1 for Caram, 2 for Bronwen, 3 for Folas, 4 for Nasaar.)
The commander's shortsword falls first, followed by the thuds of its undead body. As the threat was finally dead, the party can take a better look around the room. The commander's room has a desk, a bed with a chest in front of it and some drawers. There's a fine layer of dust over everything as it seems no one else has been in this room for a while. And upon examining the chest, the contents are fine, not scorched or burned, but a intact wand along with a book of sorts.
"Whew, what a fight. You ok Nasaar? He seemed to have it out for you my friend," Caram says as he shakes his hands out, clenching and unclenching his fists. He moves to the entrance of the room, "I will go grab Henri and then we can make a right proper search of this place. Good work everyone." He moves to fetch their ward.
"I am fine." Nasaar assures his companions. "I am going to cast a spell to detect magic and see what that tells me about the things here." He tells the group. Nasaar then casts detect magic as a ritual. He is most interested in the desk and trunk, but will check out the entire room. Once they find the wand and book though he will check those items out as well.
As Henri enters the rooms, she shows open disgust as she gags at the sight of the once again dead commander. She takes a moment to collect herself before going about room. She appears to have found her mark once she check the journal. "An older form of Common but I've studied it before...Alright, now I see why my senior wanted me to check on this place. Seems that the commander had detained some of zealots of the other tomb. Although most of them died here, the commander managed to record what he could get from interrogations...Interesting..."
Nasaar examination does not wield much. as one source of magic is quickly fading. The commander's form glows fainter and fainter as time goes and the other source being the wand. Nasaar can tell that the wand specializes in some sort of evocation, but cannot tell what spell.
"Ah, you guys can keep the wand. I'm not one for fighting, nor do I want to spend the time finding a buyer for something I don't know."
(As a heads up, since the reward is set and there was a leaver, each individual's gold reward is increased to 125. The wand can be taken by anyone but only by one. And lastly, this was a bit of an intro one-shot to get you all to level 3, so congratulations, welcome to level 3.)
Interested in the small snippets of the mystery that Henri i talking about he joins her, "I would not mind hearing more Henri. What are these zealots and tomb you speak of? What kind of information did he gather?"
"We should set up a camp maybe in that room we fought the larger wolf. One of use can spend some time investigating that wand and we can give a thorough looting ransacking of the these rooms here. I am not sure if there is much left upstairs however we can jump on that in the morning and then possibly head out." Caram looks to Folas and Nasaar for their input.
"I'll check this out further." Nasaar says, pocketing the wand. He would then help the others do any more searching of the room or other places in the building as needed, before seeing what the others found out about the journal.
Next short rest Nasaar spends the time to identify the wand.
(If the party wants to do a search, go ahead and roll a d100 at advantage.)
Henri looks very happy to talk about her senior, as she beams, "Well he's in Xen'drik, checking one of the few Giant temples there. Although he's met some sort of resistance in the form of zealots. Good thing he brought a reliable team to help him check the temple. And the zealots are Elves, if you believe it, my senior thinks that they've been influenced by magic but haven't found any wiling to talk. What he did manage to find was a few records from the giants, talk about an expedition to Khorvaire. Which led to him contacting me throught speaking stones."
(Once the search is done, the one shot is over. I will add what the wand is and the final findings from the search. And I will say, if any manage to get a 100, then it will be another magic item.)

From the rays of fire, Bronwen falls victim as he is downed.
Although the undead takes the punches from Folas, it cannot withstand the Nasaar's attack. As its head is crushed under the weight of the warhammer.

Folas replies “Makes sense Caram”.
When he sees Caram head off to get Henri, he turns his attention to checking out the room to see if there is anything interesting.
