As you ride in the cold night air, you can see that in front of you is a small, seemingly abandoned encampment. Food and tools are strewn around, with two tents flanking an extinguished campfire.
Sorry for not posting, I’ve been sick for the past few days.
Tenra points at the camp, probably noticing it a little after everyone else. "Ooh, where is everyone?" She says. "Is this where the goblins are staying? Maybe we can go say hello!"
"Think of this as more of a 'surprise', if there's anyone here, alright, Tenra?" Nabhtiha looks to Morgan starting to tie up his horse."Morgan, can you tie mine as well? I'd like to see if I can't find a better angle if anyone's home. Esedus, Zanilin, care to head the 'welcoming committee'? I'll watch your flank."Assuming the whispered idea isn't disapproved, Nabhitha attempts to move through the brush around the encampment to a spot where she's hidden from sight. She draws her cloak closer about her tunic and pulls her previously loose hair into a quick bind with some black silk from her tunic pocket.
Zan gives Nabhtiha a nod, dismounts from his horse and gives it a slight brush his hand as he ties it to a tree. He the moved back to the road and walks towards camp. His hand on the hilt of his sword in case he needs to draw it quickly. As he approached, he scanned the campsite for any signs of movement or traps. If nothing is suspicious is found then he will walk over to a tent, unceremoniously grab it, and begin walking back towards where he came.
As you search the campsite, you can see broken armor and weapons, accompanied by stains of a deep crimson liquid, scattered throughout the camp.
As another note, I’ve decided we’ll take a break from the game from December 21st to January 2nd. It only seems natural to not do anything over the holidays.
"Well, the whatever happened here we were clearly too late to prevent. Presumably the goblins have struck some travellers along the road." Esedus scans the surrounding countryside, not wanting to be taken by surprise if the goblins were still lurking.

Also, hope you feel better soon. Being sick sucks, just recovering from something myself.

Morgan pulls up outside of the camp and finds a place to tie up his horse. He would move in on foot from there.

Esedus similarly ties his horse before drawing the great sword from his back. He moves up to cover Zanilin as he pulls the tent back.

Tenra wanders over to the pool of "deep crimson liquid" and prods it. "That's really sloopy wine. Maybe their party was really rotten." She mentions.
