For more than a century Elaria Feywing, known to many as "The Master", mentored young adventurers in combat, exploration, and magic. Little is known about the elf woman’s past and her days as a wandering wizard, but her status as a teacher is legendary. Many young fortune-seekers made the trek out to the small village of Parabor on the frontier of the Merriam Vale to seek Elaria’s expertise. She took only a handful of these pupils every year and you were among the last lucky few.
The adventure begins three days after Elaria had sent you off to seek your fortunes, claiming she had taught you all she could. The very night she told you your training was complete, Elaria died peacefully in her sleep. Having no surviving family, Elaria’s funeral was immediate and the burial was simple as described in the elf’s last will and testament. The same document leaves further instructions - a final test for her favorite students. You now must work together to gather magic tiles hidden all over the Merriam Vale that serve as the key to Elaria’s treasure vault. Finding the tiles won’t be easy. Dangerous beasts, sinister traps, and clever enemies are obstacles you must overcome. If you all can recover the tiles, the treasure inside is yours.

Hello! I’m looking to run a short “one-shot” adventure (originally developed for roll20) for four Level 2 characters. My aim with this adventure is to gain more confidence and develop my skills as a DM, specifically for PbP campaigns. As this is a short and simple one shot adventure, your characters don’t need to be very detailed at all. To apply for the adventure, please post the following information in the thread. I'd rather no PMs. All official classes and races are allowed, excluding UA. Homebrew is also not allowed, though Critical Role content is okay.

Backstory (a few sentences including why you sought out Elaria): (Entertainer) Tine, pronounced Tina, was born to be a star since she was a child. Her father unknown to her, but her mother would tell her about him while she waited on tables at the tavern. Though throughout the times of telling the stories of her father, his profession always seemed to changed. One year he was an Elven noble who found himself at the tavern because of a rain storm, other takes placed him as an epic Elven warrior on a quest to slay a dragon, but the eventual truth of the matter was he was an Elf who found himself at a tavern and had a fun night that ended up in her birth. She eventually decided to seek out Ms. Feywind wanting to hear her stories and write them down to tell the tales. Though lately she has been getting bored of telling others stories and wishes to have one of her own after hearing so many.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Yep, any and all official classes are allowed, as stated in the original post! Elaria wasn't called the Master for nothing ;)
Also another note, I'll leave the recruitment open for one more day to see if anymore people are still interested and then I'll contact those who succeeded. Reading all your applications though, I might run this adventure for 5 characters instead of 4 but will have to see. Keep them coming folks!
I’d like to give this game a try if there’s still room for one more.
Name: Veyran Devos
Race: Kalashtar
Class: Sorcerer (Wild Magic)
Alignment (no evil characters): TN
Backstory (a few sentences including why you sought out Elaria): Veyran was born with a connection to a spirit from another realm. Though it came with many benefits, it also caused several issues. The connection had given the boy the gift of magic. However, the spirit bound to him had a will of his own, which would often be in contradiction with Veyran’s. This conflict of will made his powers become chaotic and unpredictable, sometimes lashing out by accident. One of these accident was that he burned down his village’s windmill. The other villagers ran him out for this. For a time, he felt lonely and afraid of himself. Until one day, when he heard of Elaria, the Master. Veyran sought her out and begged her to help him control his powers. She taught him ways to use his powers as best she could, and eventually, he managed to gain a modicum of control, by finding a way to be in harmony with his bound spirit. He had spent so many years under Elaria’s tutelage that, when she passed away, the pain was like that of losing a parent. He decided to embark on the journey to honor his mentor’s final wishes.
