Initiative (Gadus, AC 16, can use reaction to bump to 18 or 21): 27 Initiative (Familiar, AC 13): 14
Intent: Gadus immediately pings his familiar to come inside -- with the amount of people in this tavern his eyes will help to stymie confusion as the melee progresses. He then stands, while thumbing his dagger and speaking a few practiced words of The Art, and heads towards whatever cover he can find. As he moves, three small light-blue orbs appear around his head forming an arc from one shoulder to the other. With a snap of his fingers the orbs fly off, now looking like streaking darts, towards the Drow, each guard being impacted by one missile. Gadus also tries to decipher what spell (or nearest similar) the gnome used.
"Excellent." Anansi springs to his feet so fast that his chair clatters to the ground. His hands go behind the shoulders of his cloak and return with two scimitars.
Initiative: 15

(Alright! You all out-initiatived the rest! Take your actions (Nice moves Gadus and Sully!), after which I will do a write up before moving on to the Drow Speaker, Barak, the guards, and the taverners. Repeat as needed for effect.)
For Gadus:
You've seen similar effects created when individuals without or of lower orders of magical mastery use an spell scroll or some other enchanted device to cast the spell. A glowing glyph, a spike in magical power, followed by an immediate loss of focus. Since you are studying the gnome's magic, you look over and see that, as the few seconds have passed, the glyph or rune fades and he falls to the ground, apparently unconscious or asleep.
How many rounds of combat till my familiar is inside the tavern and part of melee?
Familiar Intent: Swooping in through a crack in a window Bekate, Gadus' familiar, quickly surveys the room before settling on a target. The fey spirit, currently in the form of a hawk, took pride in his master and work he gave him -- the young mage turned out to be more capable than the last few "wizards" that he contracted with. Hovering for just a second before diving with blinding speed, Bekate reaches for a tankard full of ale and brings it with him as a he courses through the tavern. Trying to pick up speed while darting around patrons, his tan and red plumage shimmers in the warm interior light. Heading towards the Drow Speaker, Bekate makes a sudden reversal of direction loosing the tankard, with all the momentum he had build up, straight towards the Drow's face.
Use An Object to splash alcohol on the Drow leader and hopefully get some in his eyes to blind or debilitate him somehow. Not sure how you want to rule this, but that's the intent. No damage intended.
Sereena targets the Drow speaker because of his attack towards Barak. She lunges full swing with hopes to skewer him, shouting “Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!”
Attack 13 Damage 10
(OOC- If it hits) Sereena will use her divine smite expensing a spell slot to add 10 radiant damage
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After a sudden breath, the room explodes in a flurry of action!
Gadus, invoking a magic word, summons three bolts of bluish energy which impact with a sizzling mark upon each of the drow. Flying in just in time, his familiar flutters through a propped-open window and, awkwardly dragging a half-filled kitchen pewter of soup, flings its contents upon the drow, adding to the confusion!
Sully, hopping up over the back of his chair, dodges into the crowd, surfacing a moment later from behind a particularly pudgy dwarf with a short, brutal-looking blade in hand. A quick lunge forward, and blood is drawn.
Sereena, the sting of her insult as sharp as her polearm, catches the drow speaker in the side, biting deep.
Anansi tries to imitate Sully's nimble assault, and while he is able to strike from behind another of the crowd, he becomes tangled up and his strikes fall just short, sliding across hardened leather, leaving only disappointed scratches.
Win, (or should I say, For the Win,) produces a neatly loaded crossbow from beneath the table and, with a satisfying *chunk* sends the bolt deep into the Drow Speaker's chest. With a ragged sigh, he leans backwards, his legs still held in place by the spell.
Barak, with a bull roar of anger, leaps forwards and uppercuts one of the drow guards (Attack: 16 Damage: 5)
The guards, seeing that they are outnumbered, struggle to break free of their bonds! (15, 8)
With nimble steps, he slips the restraining roots and leaps heroically to the door! In a flash, he is out in the street, stumbling onto the cobblestones and fleeing as fast as he can! The other manages to break free, but is brought down under the massed weight of 3 dwarves, 4 gnomes, and a halfling, armed with cudgels, knives, and brass knuckles.
The crowd, as if sensing the spilled blood, mill around and release flurries of blows towards the intruders.
You may each take one more action as though at the top of the next round of combat. Unless you catch the fleeing drow (running outside and getting him in the streets), then combat will then be over, and things will proceed (probably) quite quickly. What a start!
Anansi slips outside, attempting to use the dark shadows of the night to obscure his pursuit.
Stealth: 21
As he clears the doorway he slides the scimitars back over his shoulders and his hands go to the sides of his waist, drawing two daggers that he throws at the retreating figure at the same time aiming for the back of each of the drow's knees.
Sereena pumped by the quickness of the battle follows after the Drow and Anansi grabbing One her javelins on the way out. She eyes the drow and attempts a throw.
Attack 7 Damage 10
As she goes to exit the door and throw, the javelin catches on the door frame and rebounds backward, falling behind her.
Intent: Seeing one of the Drow guards escape outside Gadus changes his tactical focus to the enemy that could complicate affairs. Fully unsheathing his dagger at this point, the weapon emits a low glow as he repeats the lines he spoke just a moment prior. Once again three motes of bluish light appear around his head and, with a swipe of his dagger, now fly furiously towards the Drow trying his best to survive another day (1).
<Bekate, fetch!> Gadus pings to his familiar.
Delighted at the command, Bekate darts outside heading directly to the fleeing Drow. When he catches up to his prey he starts to peck and distract the Drow confusing his escape (2).
(1) Magic Missile: 15 DMG (2) Bekate is using the Help action. The first attack by an allied creature on the Drow after his initiative (14) will be made with Advantage.
Sully will move outside and use his bonus action to dash an additional 30ft, hopefully catching the drow, he will then strike out with his short sword again
Make perception checks to beat the roll in the spoiler - even for magic missile. The spell ignores AC, but you still need to see your target, and as you all leap heroically outside of the tavern, the dark grey fog seems to close in. Off to your collective right, you hear a clattering stumble as a few steps are taken, the huffing of tense breaths receding into the murky beyond. If you are successful, you are able to catch up with him and land an attack... otherwise, we will see how the occupation forces will take to the murder of two of their own.
From within the tavern, the general brawl is already beginning to quiet down as people return to their seats, leaving only a dark stain on the floor, along with two crumpled corpses. A few confused voices can still be heard shouting above the din, the content of their words lost in rumble of groaning stools and muttered condemnations.
