"Kahah! A useful skill you have there," Akai cackles in appreciation. "Once Akai has a den of his own to rule, you could be a valued laborer! But one conquest at a time." With that, he open the door and confidently steps several feet in to survey the interior.

Walking into the dimly lit interior of the warehouse, Akai finds himself surrounded by high piles of boxes and crates laid about in no particular order. Nothing stirs within, and Akai's voice rings resoundingly throughout the echoing space. He sees that many of the crates have been knocked over and broken open, spilling their contents onto the ground. Some 30 feet E of his position, something lies in a heap on the floor [red circle on map]. His nostrils pick up the scent of fresh blood.

Irma's mundane human senses cannot penetrate the gloom. He sees only shadows, and hears only the scuffle of his own boots.
Ian, attempting stealth, climbs through the window and moves towards the edge of the stairwell to peer down towards the southern part of warehouse on the first floor.

Gliding through the murk with the silent ease of an umbral cat, the bard comes to the stair and peers down into the lower level of the warehouse. A broken skylight over the central part lets in the first gray light of the new morning, revealing a scene of chaos and bloodshed. Crates and boxes are broken and scattered willy-nilly, dry goods and assorted gear lie about in spilled heaps, and amidst all this wreckage lie bodies, perhaps a dozen in all, torn and bloodied, their weapons still close at hand.
Ian cannot see any moving thing - or was there something, there, behind the pile of boxes? Perhaps a flicker of motion? But after staring hard a few moments he does not see it again, and the warehouse feels absolutely empty save for Akai's voice and Irma's striding about.
Irma heads out to join Ian on the second floor. He eyes the crates outside and attempts to scale them athletically.
Athletics: 17
Stepping back out the front door of the warehouse, Irma moves around to the side of the building and follows the bard's path up to the second floor, hoisting himself easily up the stack of boxes to clamber through the window and come up behind Ian.
The party has entered a dimly-lit warehouse just before dawn, apparently abandoned but for the dozen or so bloody corpses scattered among the broken crates and busted furniture.
Not trusting that he didn’t see anything, Ian remains watchful above, ready to cast spells and deal insults. Ian inspires Gregor for now and plans to inspire others as needed.
”A prudent enemy chooses to lie in wait; be wary of this unfinished business.”
Falshen will attempt to hide in the shadows within, but linger back, bow out and arrow knocked, prepared to engage hostiles at range if necessary. He will attempt a sneak attack first. Should an enemy close to melee range, he will switch to his rapier and attempt to engage enemies near the party members (again, looking to utilize his sneak attack abilities as often as possible).
Akai will boldly stroll into an open area to get a good view of the surroundings. Once in combat, he'll stay out of reach of enemies and use Firebolt as his spell of choice, switching to Chill Touch if foes display some kind of hp recovery (or fire resistance). He 'll attack enemies engaged in melee combat with his allies in order to make use of Kobold Pack Tactics (advantage on attack rolls). If no such opportunity is available - i.e. the first round of combat, before allies have moved in to attack the enemy - he will use True Strike to set up advantage. Akai will avoid using his 1st-level spells, but he is willing to cast Magic Missile if an enemy proves especially difficult to hit.
If an enemy approaches Akai in melee combat, he will use the Dodge or Disengage actions to get out of danger.
Irma moves to stand by Ian, weapon and shield at the ready alert to any who would come at the duo. At the sight of an enemy he will move aggressively towards them. Irma has a full pool of healing at his disposal that he will make use of to protect his companions.
Ian, his keen violet eyes piercing the shadows, notices a flicker of movement behind a large pile of boxes in the middle of the warehouse floor and cries out a warning in time for Gregor and Akai not to be taken completely by surprise when arrows suddenly fly at them!

Attack roll against Gregor: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Falshen immediately retaliates, sending his own arrow at a cowled head bobbing up from behind its makeshift cover: Attack: 17 Damage: 10
Akai meanwhile points a finger in the direction of the other attacker, a cloaked figure crouching in the shadow of a broken crate, and casts True Strike, giving himself Advantage on his next attack against that foe.
Irma charges down the stair, warhammer raised, moving in to close with the enemy.
One arrow skips off the kobold's scaly hide, while the other gives the wizard a nasty scrape across the ribs.
The target of Falshen's attack gives a loud squawk and stumbles into view, revealing himself as a short, avian creature with a long beak and black feathers - a kenku. He wears a hooded cloak and carries a shortbow and shortsword. An arrow sticks out of one shoulder, which is bleeding heavily. He drops his bow and draws his sword, stepping forward, his beady eyes glittering and his beak clacking.
Success - the door is unlocked.
