One disengages and falls back a good 40 feet. Another stays, and fights, but gets disadvangtage. The third is super brave. The disadvantaged one attacks 1 Serit.
Vs Serit. Attack: 8 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Vs Gathrik Attack: 21 Damage: 3
Both attacks miss.
If you have a chance to look in the direction where part the pack was distracted, you will see that some of the hyenas have fallen, and there appears to be sounds of fighting coming the from the part of the forest where they went.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gathrik tries to slice the hyena and find an opening to engage the large beast to help out Jardor.
“I hope whatever is there isn’t a bigger problem to us. Don’t forget to leave some alive! Be careful no to let them approach Garan and Nasaar”, his sentences come out in short bursts, as he is focused primarily on the battle.
"Once our big friend here goes down we will be able to figure out the rest. Can anyone get to Gara or Nassar and make sure they don't die on us?"
Smiling as the large beast closes on him, Jardor roars and lunges forward with his large blade.
Attack Roll: Attack: 16 Damage: 11
As he draws back, the thrill of the battle is in his eyes, an invigorating spirit has taken him, allowing him to redouble his efforts. (BA: Second Wind for Safety). 8
"I like this one...he's feisty. Let me try to knock him out instead of killing him, maybe we can train him to be on our side."
"Gathrik, hold them here, I am going to try and get to one of them with a potion," Serit says as he [Tooltip Not Found]. He limps to Nasaar, tucking his flail under his shield arm as he pulls out his healing potion. (Those are all my actions so healing next round.)
Serit, you were all close together, so you can actually heal this turn (roll the heal). If you had to walk far, you would have been taking attacks of opportunity.
Gathrik misses.
Jardor hits the beast hard with the greatsword, making it stagger for a couple of seconds.
Once Serit rolls the heal, the big dog gets to go.
The four "retinue" scavengers attack one of party member each. Being close to the pack leader seems to have clamed them and they are no longer trying to run.
Gathrik, now completely drunk with the fury of the battle, starts hacking at the first hyena-like being that he sees and screams into the air, “Come on, you laughing ****ers! How much longer can you bear painting my blade red?!”

Jardor misses the giant beast narrowly.
Gathrik's crazed behavious would have scared most humanoids, but the scavengers seem to mostly ignore it. Being beasts, they do not fully appreciate how scary Gathrik's scars are. One of the weaker beasts seems to have been taken aback by the sreaming and is omentarily stunned (he will not attack next turn).
Gathrik and Serit kill one scavenger each, while Nasaar heals Gara for 10 HP. Gara is back up.
Big scavenger's turn now.
The big one continues slugging it out with Jardor:
Attack: 6 Damage: 7, and does not hit.
The retinue has been reduced to only two beasts, and the the survivors continue attacking their last targets (Jardor with advantage, Serit without advantage due to no allies left within 5 feet).

Gara's stone hits home. The giant scavenger is now heavily injured.
Only one of the smaller scavengers moves (since the other is stunned by Gathrik's intimidation). It shuffles closer to Gara (since serit is down) and attacks (no advantage)
Attack: 13 Damage: 5. It tries to repeat the jump on Gara's head that worked so well, but is blocked by the shield that Gara puts up.

(Dragondenn, At the moment only Gara is down)
Serit swings his flail at the scavenger threatening Nasaar. Knowing that the hobgoblin can heal makes him a more valuable commodity at this moment.
Flail Attack: 17 Damage: 5
