"Wait, did you just say TEN dead people? We can't go in there, what if those 4 birds are responsible for killing those people? If they attack the 5 of us we don't stand a chance."
"Well if they are all recently deceased, we may not have much time if any at all to rescue our quarry. We outnumber them and you are all quite adept in the pageantry of battle. Perhaps we can get the jump on them but we should act hastily if we are going act at all!"
Crag takes off for across the inner yard and makes off for the door before anyone else can react to his abrupt action. Crag you kick your way through the door and the four Kenku inside look over at you in surprise as you make your way about five feet into the room. The warehouse is fairly empty, about 70' feet across, scattered groupings of boxes and crates litter the floor. The open second level is stacked with crates where it overlooks the main warehouse. The Kenku seem to be going through some of the crates, and upon Crag's entrance, they draw their shortswords and prepare to defend themselves.
(I am going to role initiative for everyone, it will speed us up a little, I will roll off the site allowing me to put them in order)
The rest of the party is about 20' away from the front door, as combat begins.
Crag, the two Kenku closest to you rush forward and each slash at you one time.
Kenku 1

One of the bird men's swords slide past your defences leaving a small slash on your forearm, the other clashes harmlessly off your shield. The other two, fan out a bit and cautiously move towards you from the sides. You can see a bit if confidence in their walk as the odds seem in their favour.
"Drop your weapons and surrender! By order of the good people of Waterdeep. Theft and murder will not be tolerated. If you cooperate you will not be harmed!"
Crag will hold his action. He will hold an attack to trigger if the Kenku do not surrender. Any further hostile action from them and he will attack.

As the rest of the party quickly follows into the warehouse the Kenku visibly loose their swagger.
Ondrea, you thrust your halberd forward, and Kenku 1 chatters some nonsense at you as it parries the blow.
Aida, you posture yourself next to Ondrea, and swing with your mace at Kenku 2connecting solidly against its shoulder ant it grunts in pain. Followed by the glowingly familiar explosion from behind you as a small hole appears in the other shoulder, which the impact spins the bird man around. Just as Kenku 2 regains his sense of equilibrium and squares up to Aida again, a blue-white beam if frigid energy strikes it in the chest, picking it up off the ground and slamming back down unconscious.
If Kenku 1 is still standing after Ondrea's blow, I will attempt to finish the job. If Kenku 1 is unconcious after Ondrea's attack, I will shift towards Kenku 3 and bring my mace down across it's shoulder.

After the blow I ready myself for an incoming attack, and will cast warding flare to impose disadvantage if targeted.

Ondrea looks left and right to see if anyone is around or paying attention. If no one is around, she pulls out her halberd quietly.

Ondrea deftly sidesteps the onslaught from Kenku 1, and drives the spear point of her Halberd into its throat. It slides off and collapses.

Crag will press his hand to his side to try and keep from bleeding out (at 1 HP). Pointing at Kenku 4, he will call out:
"Alec is right, don't let that one escape. We need to question it." He will then take another swing at Kenku 3
