This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The wasp is knocked off balance by the blow dealt by your blade, while your kick flies over its head. It quickly scrambles to regain its bearings, however, and makes a desperate attempt to viciously jab you with its stinger.
Ganod’s attacks obliterate the wasp. It’s wreckage besmears the ground, and all around is quiet once again, except for the sound of the wind in the grass.
Syl and Ludwig lay stiffly on the ground, unconscious, but breathing steadily.
Is there anything you’d like to do, Ganod, while waiting for them to revive?
As you watch over your stricken companions through the night, the effects of the poison seem to lessen, although they remain in a deep sleep.
The moon sets in the west and you feel rested and ready to begin another day, but still dehydrated and thirsty. You will have to find water and complete another long rest before you can overcome your exhaustion.
A pre-dawn chill is in the air as Ludwig and Syl regain consciousness, groggy and sore from their ordeal.
Ludwig and Syl, you each regain 1 hit point as you awaken.
What plans does everyone make as the light of dawn touches the eastern sky?
Ganod silently watches over his companions, cutting up the wasp corpses as he waits for them. If he can, he'll attempt to rehydrate himself by drinking the wasps' blood.
Once morning comes and his companions awaken he'll pass check them over before suggesting, "We'd best get out of here. We've run out of water and your two are injured."
Ganod nods to Syl then points at one of the wasp bodies, offering up some wasp blood, "Drink. It won't hydrate you much, but it'll make swallowing easier." He then stands up and starts looking for signs of where to go for water.
"I thought I was dead." Ludwig gently massages his wounds. "That venom works quick, perhaps we could use it. Are either of you good at butchery? Could you remove its poison glands?"
Or can I use my herbalism kit to try and harvest some poison?
"I'm not bad with that sort of thing," Syl kneels down next to what's left of the wasp carcass. "Might be worth having...who knows what its applications could be?"
Ganod, the bug-juice quenches your thirst temporarily. You find that it has a slightly sweet flavor and is dense with nourishment, but is too viscous to be truly hydrating. You gain a point of Inspiration for having your own ideas about what is and is not food.
By the time the others regain consciousness, the fluid has coagulated too much to drink, but there are still a few berries left from the excellent foraging in the hills the day before, enough to moisten everyone’s mouths at least.
Ludwig, with an herbalism kit (if you had one with you), you could culture a vial of antitoxin using the wasp venom as a raw material.
Syl, the wasp’s anatomy is intuitive enough that you should be able to cut out and preserve the correct gland with the poison intact, if you wish.
The sun rises, revealing to Ganod miles of grassland in every direction, rippling in the wind, hiding the promise of water in every gulley and crevice. It shouldn’t be too difficult a task to find water in the immediate area, but half a day’s journey from here, and it’s anyone’s guess. Certainly, yesterday’s journey took you through drier lands that are now to your west, but the dearth of water wasn’t entirely due to scarcity.
Syl, your sleep was inadequate due to having taken the first watch before the night’s disturbances. With another hour or so of sleep, however, you and the rest of the party will have gained all the benefits of a long rest, ready for another day of adventure, although you and Ludwig are still sickened and sore from the venom, and you and Ganod are still exhausted from lack of water.
Syl will go to work cutting out the poison gland of the wasp, and carefully wrapping it up and placing it into his backpack. He'll also insist that he needs a quick cat nap, but promises to be ready to go in about an hour.
"Let's not rush today," he says, yawning. "And keep your eyes out for any bits of greenery. They could point to our next water source."
The sun climbs quickly into the sky in front of you as the fresh wind persists, blowing from the south. The clouds darken, and by late morning, a heavy rainstorm begins to soak you with rain as you travel across the plain. Despite the rain, temperatures are warmer today, and by late afternoon, the rain stops, and you find a place to camp that is relatively dry.
Everyone, make a DC 10 Wisdom (Survival) check to see if you were successful in finding streams and rills along the way in which to gather water that isn’t too muddy to drink.
(Syl and Ganod, remember your checks are with disadvantage.)
(yes please~)
Ganod, seeing the first wasp go down, uses the momentum of his strike to spin himself and throw a flat kick at the insect.
Attack: 8 Damage: 5
Your kick doesn’t connect, and the wasp swings its abdomen around to strike at you with its sting.
If a 7 hits, take 5 piercing damage and make a DC 11 Constitution saving throw.
The wasp’s sting stabs at the air, and the wasp slowly paces around you, looking for an opening.
Ganod strikes out again, trying to kill the bug.
Blade Attack: 14 Damage: 8
Unarmed Attack: 7 Damage: 6

Does a 9 hit?
(no it does not XD)
Ganod attempts to finish off the wasp with his blade and fist.
Attack: 20 Damage: 7
Attack: 25 Damage: 8

"Let's head in whichever direction looks more likely to have some fresh water," Syl grunts as he stands up, holding his side. "I can hardly swallow."

Syl's priority is certainly finding freshwater.

Ganod follows Syl towards the East, keeping an eye out for green and water.
Ludwig removes the antennae from the giant wasp, and attempts to use them as dowsing rods to find water.

If there was a heavy rain, I would've gathered some rainwater to drink.
