Ellara pockets her gold then pours herself a tankard of mead, sniffing it before tasting it, and finding it not terrible, then pouring for the other tankards-almost with paying attention to them. She leans back in her seat and addresses Gilda with a shrug, “I’ll have whatever. I’m not picky.”

History - 11
Listening to Father Casfrey’s words, Mara is struck by the mention of Chauntea; her god’s name surprisingly sounding like a stranger’s of late. “I’ve heard of no such vision, but I am interested in this mystery. I will need to go to the temple.” She downs the rest of her water and motion for more, adding “Bread for me, and vegetables if you have them.” Turning grimly to the assembled group, Mara says, “This people and this dimension sound powerful - has anyone come back from this mist?” Understanding the utility of currency yet unable to doubt the need for it in the times to come, she’ll pick up the coins with obvious distaste. “I must warn you in advance,” she says, face darkening, “I do not abide the undead...” Mara trails off as visions of her dead family knife through her mind, their screams ringing in her ears. Her eyes smolder and she says nothing else right now...
"May I have bread with dried fruit and a glass of water?" Lorian says to Gilda before turning back to the conversation. He picks up his share, knowing he doesn't exactly have a lot on him at the moment. "Where do you plan on starting?" He says to Father Cadfrey.
Father Cadfrey's right eyebrow raises only for a moment at Mara's words then he says:
"I am don't feel too many undead are in our future but, I have not consulted the Weave in this matter as of yet. Rest assured I harbor no good intent for any undead but, Faerun seems to have its fill of them." he says the last with a blank expression. (OCC little does he know :P)
He drinks his from his cup then continues: "Well" he adjusts to top of his robes a bit, "I suppose a direct approach may be the best bet. Speaking with this Captain Spearslayer should give us some directs. Plus," Cadfrey says with a smile, "I am sure any rewards for doing any investigations could be discussed as well. From what the inn keeper has said, the Captain has her hands full with missing guardsmen and lizardmen attacks so, we might just be what is in order to lend a helping hand."
Father Cadfrey pauses a moment, eyes staring at nothing as he appears to be thinking things over.
"After that we investigate both sites of each incident and talk to locals. Information is the key in both investigations."
Father Cadfrey pauses then exclaims "The Weave." and stands. "If you will excuse me I must step out for a few moments. I seem to have forgotten to purchase a journal for this endeavor. I understand if you believe it is unneeded but, for a scholar, my notes are my life."
Father Cadfrey will get up, collect his things and go to the inn keeper.
"Could I be shown my room now? I need to store some of this and go shop for a few moments." "Also I would like to add the cost of the rooms for my companions as well."
Once Father Cadfrey pays and drops his things off in his room he will tuck the bag of coins with him to the inside of his robes. With money and mace at his side and hurriedly make his way out the door and to Helmick's to see if there is a journal or parchment he can purchase.
As he passes the table of the company he will look at them, nods and yell "I shall return" as he speed walks by.
Dahvik casually scoops up his share, which disappears somewhere under his cloak. He looks up at the serving girl and gives her a friendly smile. "Gilda, right? Gilda, I would certainly like to try the stew. I mean..." He gives her a conspiratorial look. "Is it any good?" He takes her advice, one way or another, and adds, "A bit of bread and a hunk of cheese would be appreciated as well."
As she departs, he takes the tankard Ellara has poured for him with a nod of thanks in her direction. He takes a sip and sits back as the cleric takes his leave. He waits for the young man to disappear before asking, "Well? What do you think?"
Ellara turns from looking towards Mara to focus on Dahvik. “I think he’s naive. If these vistani are abducting people, the chances of them having good intentions is minimal. But at least he’s generous.” She shrugs.

Dahvik frowns. "I think he's more naïve than that," he says, finally giving voice to his doubts. "I mean, misty abductions? Come on. I doubt there's any interplanar bounty on the people of Gillian's Hill. After all, the bartender never mentioned mist. And what happened to young Arnold's family certainly wasn't abduction." Clearly he had been listening more closely to the bartender than his distant expression had indicated. "I think his superiors are playing with him. Some sort of prank, or initiation." He shrugs. "But whatever did happen, it should be investigated. That little girl is still missing, and there are the unsolved murders, too. Whether the answers are misty or mundane, I think finding these answers is a worthy cause." He pauses thoughtfully before continuing. "I suspect it has more to do with the lizardfolk this Lord Cromm has been stirring up. I suppose we'll see. Assuming the rest of you are still in?" He looks around the table for a response.
Father Cadfrey will get up, collect his things and go to the inn keeper.
"Could I be shown my room now? I need to store some of this and go shop for a few moments." "Also I would like to add the cost of the rooms for my companions as well."

The innkeeper smiles at you: "Sure thing milord. Room for everybody will be 40 silver pieces, including yours. I will show you to your room." He walks upstairs and through a corridor till you reach a door at the end of it. The innkeeper opens it with a key that then passes to you. The room looks comfortable and welcoming, although a bit small. Crammed in the room there is a bed with a wooden chest with at its feet, a desk and a small wardrobe. On top of the desk there is a simple looking candelabrum with three half used candles in it.
Father Cadfrey will find a journal with 100 pages in it for 10 gold pieces. If he needs or wants it, he can find pen (2 copper pieces) and ink (a jar of 1 ounce costs 10 gold pieces).
At the Lady Luck tavern, Mara, Ellara, Dahvik and Lorian are being brought food and drinks as they ordered. Gilda recommends Dahvik the fish stew which tastes indeed really good, albeit a simple dish. The bread is also quite good, the cheese is quite seasoned, the sausage a bit on the dry side and fruit and vegetable have the fresh taste as if they were just brought in from the market in front of the Lady Luck. The mead, however, is what really stands out. Now you see how this tavern is the favorite of adventurers and soldiers for a drink at the end of a tough day or at the completion of a dangerous expedition.
You have noticed that every toast in the tavern is given to "those who have fallen before us!", and from the looks you are given by the locals that are here to drink, you understand that they are suggesting you do the same. Not in a threatening way, but more in a "you look new: this is it how it works here" kind of way.
For Dahvik this is nothing new, since this is a well known tradition of the tavern, as is the glass of spirit at the corner of the bar, left untouched in case the Lady Luck herself (the goddess Tymora) decides to pay a visit to the tavern.
“To those who have fallen before us.” Lorian echoes, rather unenthusiastically. He quickly whispers to the bartender; asking, “Are small and well-behaved animals allowed here?” He turns back to Father Cadfrey. “So where shall we start? Do you know how to locate these plane-walking Vistani people?”
Father Cadfrey will get up, collect his things and go to the inn keeper.
"Could I be shown my room now? I need to store some of this and go shop for a few moments." "Also I would like to add the cost of the rooms for my companions as well."

Father Cadfrey
Once Father Cadfrey makes his purchases he will return to the Inn and to the company table with a big smile. "Found all that I was looking for." he exclaims.
He will look at the rest of the party and say "Now, has everyone met? anymore questions for me? he asks.
All rooms look similar. Simple, on the small side, but comfortable. You all have a bed, a desk and a small wardrobe. At the feet of the bed there is a chest that can be locked.
When you ask to the bartender whether small animals are allowed in the tavern, he gives you a second look, clearly trying to judge you from the clothes. Then, with a knowing look he answers "Well, I cannot exaclty ask our patrons to leave their familiar outside, can I? That would hurt the best part of the clientele of the Lady Luck! I trust your animal companions to be as well behaved as you are, sir. As long as they don't cause any trouble and don't annoy the other customers, I don't see why I should restrict entrance. How are you finding your stay here so far? I trust everything is in good order? We don't have much to offer in terms of food and accommodation, but I hear our drinks and the decor of the tavern are what makes people come back."
Lorian hooks his finger on the sleeve of his robe and pulls it outward, making a large gap. A small kind of misty spirit form floats out before it solidifies into the shape of a raven.
”Noc here is one of the most well-behaved. Isn’t that right?” He looks at Noc, his raven, with a friendly smile, possibly his first in this tavern.

Noc looks at the barkeep and as in asnwer to Lorian's question emits a soft "kraa!". The barkeep smiles, apparently satified with the answer.
If Father Cadfrey makes it back before the table is disbanded he will sit and listen to the conversation, gauging what he hears to get to know the party a bit. Once the party plans to disband for the evening he will say:
"Well met all of you. Please be prepared for an early morning. We need to talk the the Captain of the Guard right off then set out. I suggest we head out and see about the incident with young Hannah. Does anyone else have any suggestions?"
Hearing Cadfrey’s suggestion, Ellara finishes her drink and says, ”Wouldn’t the boy be a better first choice? From the stories I have heard, I’d think that there be more chance of finding a trail to follow there. But, that’s just how I think. In all honesty, the chances of any trails for either at this point might be slim.”
With that she would push her chair back, nod goodnight to the others, and collect her key from the bar before heading up to sleep.

Mara grunts thoughtfully at the others’ thoughts. “I need to go to the Temple of the Earthmother.” She nods to Father Cadfrey, “If it’s all the same I would prefer this money you offer for my room to be given to me.”. Looking at the innkeeper or tavern girl, he says, “I want to buy vegetables, fruit, water, and dried meat for the road. I would like to stay in the stables.” Regardless if Father Cadfrey agrees or not, Mara will leave towards the Temple of Chauntea. “All are welcome there, any of you can join me.
