Those who follow the gnomes see them run down the corridor, turn left, and go back thru a room you've already been in, the large one with the beds set into the alcove along the walls. You catch sight of the last few scrambling to the cave opening and dropping out of sight.
Anyone who reaches the cave entrance will see the gnomes sliding down the canyon wall and heading toward the mushroom islands.
Whiskey runs after Krov and watches as the gnomes drop out of sight. "I think theyre just protecting their crops. We can double back to these folk, for now lets go tell the king that the Mimic is delt with."
