"Good, you're the first one to accept. Come back down here at sunset and you'll have the best dinner of your life."
The bartender hands you the keys to six rooms.
"Head upstairs and to your left. The rooms are at the end of the hall. Fights start at nine and races are in three days. And don't forget your dinner. It's very important to me that someone tries my food. If I can't get a good review, I can't join the Culinary Society, and if I can't do that, then what's this all been about."
Facing the party, Odon says, "Don't get too settled in. Once we've stashed most of our things, let's get some equipment." He accepts his key from Kairon and trudges up the stairs.
The rooms are relatively small and each holds a small straw bed. There's a wooden drawer on the other side of each room as well as a window that opens toward the street. The rooms are about 15 feet above the ground.
Eleven people's nothing, but who's keeping score. Your name's Kairon:
The Red Market market is a massive, sprawling marketplace crowded with dozens of merchants hawking their wares. Countless stalls are selling meat, vegetables, tropical fruit, tej, light clothing, insect repellent, rain catchers, and other household goods. It seems like the buyers and sellers here are predominantly locals.
Rajag looks around to see if he can spot any suspicious characters but evidently finds none. Instead, he starts on a hunt for cured meat that doesn't need to be cooked.
Rajag eyes Yi and silently mouths to "Follow my lead."
Rajag pretends to count the number of lizard tails then acts angry. "Hey! This isn't nearly enough tails for twenty pounds! What are you trying to pull here?"
"That'll be 4 silver pieces each. And I'll tell you what. For an extra gold piece, I can offer you each one free dinner. How about that?"
"That would be fine, thank you."
Kairon produces the money from a pouch on her waist, handing it to the bartender.

"Thank you, I'll be sure to be down at sunset." Kairon takes the the keys and distributes them among the party.
Keacan goes to one of the rooms.
Facing the party, Odon says, "Don't get too settled in. Once we've stashed most of our things, let's get some equipment." He accepts his key from Kairon and trudges up the stairs.
"I'm going to grab an ale before heading up." Kairon turns to the bartender, "How much will that cost me?"

(OOC) Holy heck that a natural 20
Rajag:
You see the man duck into an alleyway and follow him in. As you walk through, you hear a voice from behind you.
"Look. I'm very flattered that you followed me, but I have some business to attend to. If you don't mind, I'll be on my way. Alone."
He turns and walks away, robes fluttering behind him. You aren't sure what it is, but something seems off about the way he walks. Too steady.
Rajag is discouraged and disappointed that it wasn't an interesting find. He heads over to the Thundering Lizard to settle in a bit.
Rajag, Odon, Yi:

[Rajag doesn't notice anyone that looks like fish man]
Sucks
Rajag looks around to see if he can spot any suspicious characters but evidently finds none. Instead, he starts on a hunt for cured meat that doesn't need to be cooked.
Rajag easily finds a merchant selling massive slabs of dinosaur meat. Some pieces are cured and others are uncooked.
"So, what can I get you?"
"I'd like 20 pounds of jerky. Do you have any lizard tails?"
"Yep. That'll be 10 gold pieces for the jerky and 5 for the tails"
The merchant seems surprised at the number of lizard tails you're buying.
Rajag eyes Yi and silently mouths to "Follow my lead."
