Please, do your backstory. Roll 6 times and the limit is a 16. I'm not asking for super powerful planewalkers, but I'm not asking for super weak either.
Let me know once the cast has been finalized, and if you would like us to elaborate on our backstories. It could certainly make sense for the Boros Legion members to know each other, or know of each other.
I'm leaning towards the Light Domain. It seems in line with the character concept and the Boros Legion ideals and it was among their suggested domains. I might need a little clarification on how clerics work in the MtG setting. They worship ideals, more than deities, normally? That would certainly work for the concept, but if they do worship deities I could find an appropriate one.
I think broad strokes background would be a man who grew up as a noble, who enjoyed the privileges of private tutors and wealth, and generally avoided responsibility. He enjoyed affairs with women and men alike. He had an uncle in the Boros Legion and a philosophy teacher who both pushed him to make more of his life, but he ignored these influences until his late teens.
At that time either a natural disaster or an attack within the city caused him to become buried within his own family’s manor, trapped and wounded. His friends of similar station fled, unwilling to risk personal injury. Lower class people helped dig him out of the rubble, it was their faces illuminated by light.
He entered into the Boros Legion after that, attempting to follow in his uncles footsteps in his own way, as a Cleric of Law and Light. He is a keenly aware man, and a very good judge of character. He views people as the sum of their circumstances up to that point, and is in some ways harsher and in some ways much more forgiving than his brethren, accordingly.
Danton advocates for programs to rehabilitate criminals, providing education and preaching his philosophy. He is less generous towards those who, like him, come from privilege, even within the legion. He comes across as manipulative to some, and he agrees with this - goodness is a goal well worth manipulating others towards, and as he views character as the end result of conditioning, he is more than willing to use his influence and that of the Boros Legion to condition the character of others towards goodness and empathy.
Despite his belief that goodness is a result of circumstance, and that character can be reconditioned, he has little aversion to taking life when the situation arises. Some people cannot be redeemed, and if they stand in the way of his ideals of creating a society of greater good, their loss may ensure a better world.
His ideal world is one in which everyone is taught the way of goodness. He does not believe in the notion of anyone rejecting this, as he doesn’t believe in the reality of choice. Freedom is not something he values, and absent structure he becomes extremely unnerved.
@Chrischapa once you decide more details about your dwarf let me know and we can see if it makes sense for us to know one another as Boros Legion members.
The Light Domain gives Faerie Fire, which is a pretty good debut spell to grant advantage against enemies who fail their save, in case anyone plans on a Great Weapon Master or Sharpshooter build, it can help mitigate the penalty on to-hit rolls.
Can everyone confirm, who is confirmed to be committed to the campaign and who is wanting to join right now? I need more confirmed player counts, so I get an exact head count of exactly how many there are!
Nothing... and no one is perfect. Ketal started lurking around and trading information for money at a young age. Everyone has something that they don’t want others to know... you just have to learn how to get it.
The House Dimir found potential in the young Vedalken and decided to test him. He first noticed some graffiti on the wall at his usual place of residence. Intrigued, he copied it down and began studying it. After some time, he eventually learned to decrypt the message and it simply read, ”Welcome”.
Years pass and Ketal continued finding more elaborate cryptic messages, including signals from street lamps, and following their instructions. They played around his talents of reading people, being observant, and keeping his mouth shut. He would leave his findings and receive payment at locations described to him. Eventually leading to his most current mission... infiltrating the Orzhov Syndicate.
Ketal was tasked to become a euthanist, playing to his strengths of reading people, observation, and silence. He quietly takes on any task the Orzhov gives him to deepen their trust in him. He awaits his next assignment from his Dimir contact... whatever that may be.
Ability scores: 15 15 17 14 15 12 anything above a 16 will be lowered
And if a roll 16, but get a racial bounce it's ok

Working on a tanky Mountain Dwarf. He is a member of the Boros Legion as well, so he could tie in easily with the previously mentioned Cleric.
Nice.
