I think I will extend discussion one more day. Let me be a little more clear over what we’re doing. Your characters have just looked individually at guilds they are interested at. Now they are discussing which guilds they like. The main question is this: will you all pick the same guild? Or will you split, and if you do, how will you keep the party together?
Then, after today, you have 2 days to send me a private message over which guild you will join. If you don’t send me a PM in the time frame, I will assume you have abandoned the game (we have some non-responsive players). Then I will make a little reveal post showing what guilds were joined.
So... our first task of the game is to figure out if we’re splitting up?
Consider this. The guilds are the major drivers of this game - they are ultimately behind every single action and plot twist in the game. Picking your guild is not to be taken lightly - it determines your standing for the rest of the game. So you want to pick a guild that aligns well with what you believe so that you function well within it. But you all aren’t just a collection of individuals- your strengths are more than the sum of your parts. So you have to consider your choice in a group schematic as well to be effective. I’m not saying to split up - in fact, I’m asking you to figure out how not to. (Group unity is hard to draw on with strangers, which is why this will work better in person with friends). Will you make a choice as a group to boost your group schematic? Or will you be a patchwork of several guilds, honing your individual skills to serve the group? If you choose to not vote the same guild (which is not only accounted for but in fact what I’m predicting will happen), it is then a matter of figuring out how to not split up.
I think if you look at how ThatOneOFFTopicPerson/Ergos has been acting, you will get a better idea of what I’m talking about. They seem to get it.
