=Application Info= Name: Viktor Giantsbane Race: Variant Human Class: Paladin (Ancients) Background: Outlander Backstory: Viktor was born into a tribe of raiders who roamed the land pillaging and looting everything they could come across. Even as a child, Viktor was as strong as an ox, capable of keeping up with grown men. He eventually took offense to the action of his tribe, and was released from the tribe after he proved himself in a trial of strength against some of the tribe's strongest warriors. During his solo travels, he found a horned man lying in the forest, who he helped back to health. The man revealed himself to be a forgotten god, who Viktor pledged himself to. He eventually stumbled across the group on an adventure, and decided to stick with them. He has built up a legend for himself besides them, and has sworn to use his divine magic as another weapon and shield to shatter even the greatest of foes who threaten his kith and kin. A few years ago, he fell in love with and married the town herbalist, who he has two children with, and he sends a large portion of the money he makes back to support them. Family Members: Birth Family (Disowned), Olive Bitterroot (Wife), Kaleb Bitterroot (4 year old son), Camilla Bitterroot (2 year old daughter), Hector Bitterroot (Father-in-law), Emilie Bitterroot (Mother-in-Law).

Bregen D'earthe. Stationed for years on luskan, she met with the party and has been Jarlaxle's eyes and ears into their workings. Family Members: 6 sisters and 3 brothers. None of which she claims as her own.
I've added a link into the initial post for campaign content sharing :)
Name: Lia Amistasia Race: Half-elf Class: Wizard (Enchanter) Background: Criminal Backstory: Lia grew up with her mother, living in the city or town chosen. They got by, her mother working at a local tavern as a waitress, while Lia was often left to run the streets with her friends. She eventually fell in with the wrong crowd, and started learning to pick pockets, as well as locks. When her mother found out Lia was brought to the tavern owner, who had a talking with her, that she pretty much ignored. Her mother was always worried about the lack of a father in her life, and offtimes her boss tried to step in and help out his employee by being a male role model in Lia's life. She did not know who her father was in truth, but her half-elven blood, shown through the white hair she had, that could almost be passed off as a very light shade of blond, pluss her slightly pointed ears, told her that he was most likely an elf of some kind. As she grew older, magical powers began to manifest. She began to ask more questions about her true father, and, eventually her mother sat her down and explained that she had fallen in love with an elf. They had spent a couple years traveling together, but he had had to leave, since he was uncomfortable living among humans. It was a lie, and Lia knew it for a lie, but she also could see there was some pain there that her mother was very clearly not over, and most likely would never be over. She let it drop, but wondered who this mystery elf was who had sired her, then left. Her mother eventually married, and had two more children with Lia's step-father. Eventually Lia got over her identity issues, and found she liked just being herself. She kept in contact with those friends from her rebellious stage though, people she trusted and knew would have her back. She spent a lot of time in the tavern talking to adventurers, hearing stories of their travels. She yearned to follow after them, but was uncertain if she was ready for that yet. Her mother apprenticed her to a local wizard, who took ehr in and taught her much of the ways of being a wizard. One day she did end up leaving with an adventuring band, and the rest has gone down in history.
Nice backstory, I like the "I could have been a rogue in another life" aspect to it. Update with a sheet when you can. :)
Loved the backstory! I'm good with all of the magical items but I'm going to pass on the rings this time. I actually have an idea for something similar. Pick another item instead and if your character is chosen I'll get back with you later on it. :)
Alright i took a mithral plate instead of the rings. Id love to hear what you have in mind :) always enjoy the roleplay items more than just poweritems.
Name: Sam Silverwind Race: Half Elf Class: Bard Background: Charlatan Backstory: (a bit of a rough draft, I love the idea of no tragic orphans!) Growing up the son of tavern keepers was a simple life, too simple for Sam. His parents own the Flagon Dragon tavern, his older brother worked the bar, his little sister served the tables, Sam played his viol every night, things were predictable. One night after his show Sam decided he had enough, and worked up the courage to tell his parents he was leaving to become ad adventurer! Thinking that his mother would burst in to tears, and his father would look down on him in disapproval, Sam's surprise could not have been greater when instead, his parents smiled at each other and lead Sam up in to the attic. Opening up an old trunk that had been there as long as Sam could remember they showed up their gear from when they had been adventurers, telling Sam that they had earned the money they used to buy this tavern after many year of adventuring. They had even met and fell in love during their adventures! Gifting Sam some of their gear they sent him off in search of his Uncle Ben, a famous adventurer. The rest, as they say, is the stuff of song. Songs Sam wrote himself Family Members: Mother (Elf)- Elaria, Father (human)- Lucas, Older Brother- Luke Jr, Little Sister- Lyra. Uncle (Elf)- Benathiel
I like it, do you have a sheet yet? :)
Thanks! Will be off work in an a few hours, will post link to sheet and also update with magic items.
I'm interested, but it might take me a little while to consider a character concept within those parameters, especially one I haven't played before. I can post daily, and pretty regularly.
Rolling for stats: Ability scores: 171210141410
Its a work in progress, but I am considering a shadar-kai hexblade. I'll post all the info later today. I have to head to bed now. XD
Hexblade is fine, Shadar-kai only links to the elf page. Research shows they are connected to the shadowfell. I might just not have the content unlocked. I'll need more info before i can agree to it. :)
Sure. In short, they are elves from the Shadowfell that served the Raven Queen. Here is a link to the Forgotten Realms wiki It fits thematically with the Hexblade, but I can find something else. Racial scores increase Con and Dex, grant necrotic resistance and a 1/day misty step. I'd be happy to share content, I have most of the books.
The concept is that Tharivol's (working name) mother came to the Material Plane as an agent of the Raven Queen, but while there grew comfortable with the relatively vivid and wonderful life it offered, in contrast to the grey malaise of the Shadowfell. She met a human, fell in love, and Tharivol was born.
The Raven Queen has many servants and did not pursue this one too much, but Tharivol was still born with the drive for new experiences and renown that some shadar-kai thirst for, and he took up his mother's blade (his pact weapon) and set off for the life of an adventurer.
My proposed magic items are: Longsword, +3 (Very Rare. Frostbrand would also work thematically), Half-Plate, +1 and Shield, +2 ( both Rare), and a Pearl of Power and Winged Boots (uncommon)
Here is a sheet, but its very much a work in progress until I get approval on some things (ie, race). Link Obviously the backstory depends on your approval.

Backstory: House Dirgeblade is a noble house that had once been known as one of the most powerful in the kingdom in ages past. In the last century it was struck by several misfortunes. From the loss of wealth due to the foolishness of drunken Lord who bet his fortune away to the death of the previous head during a duel gone wrong the house nearly lost its nobility.
With some work from his grandmother, the house was able to continue on, reclaiming a bit of their status. By the time Hastings was born his family was barely hanging on tomtheir noble status but it did allow him enough to grow up in privelege and to have the best combat training. Unlime bis brother who went on to become a knight in the sevice to the king, Hastings was less inclined for heavy armor and weapons so he focused on one on one combat and the art of fencing.
In order to grow his skills Hastings left his family in his early adult years tomtrain under the best masters he could find, spending several years doing so. During this time he travled all across the continent, spending time with various master fencers and adventurers of all types. He spent time as bith a noble hero and gentleman criminal to make his way. Omce he felt hemwould need to refine his skills ny his own training he returned to his home, using the fortune he had made on his adventures to bring his family back into good fraces with the king and other nobles.
