Backstory: Alistar Monroe has always been strong. He's known it since he was a child, and he let it drive him to higher and higher challenges. One day, he stumbled across a man who was challenging who ever he saw to a wrestling match. Alistar accepted, and the fight was on! They fought for an entire day, rolling around the town square, trying to pin the other. After he finally managed to keep him in place, the man stood up, and placed his palm on Alistar's chest, right over his heart. "Well done, young one. I grant you a sliver of my power, and name thee Stormheart, the unchained wrath of the seas and storms." There was a crack of ozone, and the man vanished, leaving a mark seared into Alistar's chest, in the shape of a hand.

Race: Variant Human
Class: Sorcerer (Clockwork Soul from UA)
Background: He woke up somewhere in the Menagerie Coast with only a small gear in his hand. He had no memory and an unusual feeling of internal peace. He could only remember the name “Goddard Flamebringer”, which he adopted as his own. After about a day of exploring the unknown land around him, he came to the conclusion that he was a foreigner to the land, as nobody seemed to recognize him. Goddard wandered the Menagerie Coast for a year before deciding it wasn’t the right place to figure out what had happened to him. He went out to the territory of the Dwendalian Empire.

I like CR, but I don’t really get to watch it, so you’ll have to work with me to better connect the backstory to the world.
Class: Fighter (intending to be Eldritch Knight at lvl 3)
Backstory: Sorlech's parents are completely unknown to time, and he was raised in the Greying Wildlands by a family of humans. He only remembered his name when he was taken in. He was a caring but practical child, and sometimes disobeyed rules in order to aid someone else. This made his family suspicious of him. His homestead was often attacked by monsters and criminals, but Sorlech learned to combat them. Due to being a gnome, he outlived his human family and moved to the Dwendalian Empire after their deaths when he was 53. He enlisted in the Dwendalian military. He fought in many battles against Xhorhas, but bears no enmity towards anybody there. He has since been honorably discharged from the military, and has taken up adventuring as a fighter. He also studied wizardry (eldritch knight) but does not have the experience to use magic.
Backstory: Born in the city of Deastok on the edge of the Empire, Jacobo's parents hoped to hide him from the Cereberus Assembly for as long as possible, fearing that their precocious, sensitive child would be destroyed by the harsh training he would under the Assembly. They fled as far as they could, to the Biting North, where Jacobo's father found work as a forger for the Mardoon family. The Mardoons took an interest in Jacobo and nurtured his interest in metalwork, smithing and firearms, working to shield the young Genasi from the more unsavory aspects of their business. Coming of age in his environment, Jacobo only recently realized the extent of the family's corruption and fled Shady Creek in the middle of the night, hoping to avoid the Mardoons and the Assembly alike -- for a Genasi in Wildemount, however, disappearing is no easy task.
Background: Known by his friends in Shadycreek Run as "Trap", Barrion was once a part of that town's criminal element. One day, however, a priest of Raei moved to town proclaiming a message of freedom from the weight of one's crimes. Barrion listened. His friends assumed Barrion's interest was research for another confidence game. Then, the day came when Barrion left Shadycreek Run to preach redemption across Wildemount, or -- as his friends hoped -- to scam the naive.
Feats and multiclass are options, however, I prefer multiclassing to add to the character’s story and development, rather than being a purely mechanical choice.
Class : Wizard (Chronurgy ) Multiclassing as Priest of Luxon (if levels go high )
Background: ( I'll work on writing something later or tomorrow that is more appropriate but here is the idea )

Name: Flick Rivertail
Race: Tabaxi
Class: Bard
Background: Flick hails from the small, coastal settlement of Brokenbank along the Menagerie Coast. From a very young age, the curious young tabaxi was fascinated with the comings and goings of the port, which brought a steady stream of foreign ships and trading vessels and their crew to this very small seaside town. A likable fellow, he found that he could easily strike up a rapport with travelers as they passed through, and unlike many of the people in his community, who made careers of trying to provide goods and services to the constant stream of potential customers, Flick was more interested in learning than selling. He loved hearing their stories about far off places, especially when they had to do with history and magic, and he had a penchant for remembering much of what he heard, or overheard, which was often the case.
Along with his friendly, easy going demeanor, Flick also discovers that he had a knack for storytelling and song, and in his formative years, he would often perform in Brokenbank's crowded taverns and entertain the crowds with embellished tales of the stories that he heard. And while this proved to be a lucrative profession, the young tabaxi longed to see and learn for himself, instead of always recounting the stories of others. Eventually, he left home and joined a traveling troupe of entertainers who made the rounds up and down the cities and towns of the Menagerie Coast.
After performing with them for a couple years, apprenticing as a fledgling bard and learning more about the world, Flick eventually grew restless and he quit the troupe to travel on his own for awhile and begin the story of his own life as an adventurer.
A plain, backwater girl from a plain, backwater town in the Dwendalian Empire, Kaia Galanis grew up as the youngest of three children, often overlooked by her harried parents, who had already pinned all of their hopes on their two elder children by the time Kaia was born. Her eldest sibling was the smartest person she'd ever known, leaving to become a student at the Soltryce Academy in Rexxentrum as soon as their parents could scrounge up the money. Her older brother was a devout follower of Erathis, also leaving for Rexxentrum when he came of age, to join the Tower of Writ and be with others faithful to his goddess.
And then there was only Kaia. Knowing that she was expected to stay at home and take over the small family farm when her parents died, she had prepared herself for exactly that: a lifetime of menial labor and drudgery, never getting the chance to experience all the world had to offer. But as she grew up into adulthood, she began to experience dreams that felt strangely familiar, despite only showing her visions, sometimes good, sometimes bad, of a different person living a different life in a place she didn't recognize.
The dreams filled Kaia with a sense of wanderlust that eventually became too much for her to hide. Much to the dismay of her parents, she followed in the footsteps of her two older siblings and left her little home village, seeking adventure and some answers to the dreams that wouldn't stop plaguing her.
The backstory's a work in progress, and I'm definitely down to rework or add things to help the character fit better into the campaign. I'm also interested in exploring the Heroic Chronicle system!
